Back out again and onto the odka redbull to kep my conscious and able to make it into club. Just power walked home after I realised all my mates had buggered off and was dancing on my bill. I think Simon hit the nail on the head. The forum doesnt need to change, but it could do with more people able to validate new members. Theres only 6 mods and 2 admin on what is a pretty large forum. We have lives outside of the forum and its just not possible to sit around all day validating- there is also the small matter of moderating the rest of this place! There are good new members that are worthy of being made a full member that unfortunately slip through the net and it takes longer than it should do. However there are many more new members that just post lots of crap, make no effort with their spelling and grammar and dont bother to read and understand the guidelines. I'm sorry but I'd have to say that there is more of the second type and this makes it even harder for us to pick out the good ones. if you haven't already then read this thread and take notice!

as above. Add a mini review if you like 24 Hour Party People - 6.5/10 (and dont forget the .5 ) Very strange film. Very amusing in parts and interesting history behind the Madchester music scene- the antics Happy Mondays got up to was also good to see a lot of British comic actors such as Peter Kay in there! But then there were parts where it dragged, or just seemed like it was trying to be a bit too different and it didnt really work. carry on....

you've got to be on the ball when it comes to protecting your hat- especially if you are out all day. Its almost a military opperation ensuring that you make it back home with the hat that you've earnt and so rightly deserve Never under any circumstances let anyone try it on, even if they are an amazingly fit bird. You'll never see it again. Also keep an eye out for the sly ones that sneak up, try and grab it and run. Scum... sub human scum. Oh and if you are foolish enough to go into a club with it on then you deserve to lose it. This is serious stuff

Most pubs should be running a promotion where you get given a token for each pint of Guiness you buy, and once you've bought 4 (or possibly 5 cant remember) you can exchange your tokens for a novelty Guinness hat. But be warned that popular pubs will soon run out of hats. Down in my local last year they had all gone by about 1pm.

If you are going out then make sure you get photographic evidence of you looking silly in your Guiness hat. Post the evidence up on here whenever you get back home and manage to regain consciousness

Just wondering if anyone is doing much for St Patricks day on Saturday? Before anyone kicks off about "whats the point you're not Irish", its always a lively, fun atmosphere (where I live anyway), lots of people are out and its a good excuse to wear a ridiculous hat all day. You dont have to be Irish to go out and have a good day/ night. I'm hoping to get into town for opening time at 11, get my hat and enjoy a few pints throughout the afternoon. Need to make it home in a reasonable state to crack on with the dissertation tommorow though So anybody else going out for it on Sat ?

Don't you just know it Whatever estimate you try and make I can guarantee that it will end up considerably more. Things in the house will brake, you'll get an unexpectedly high electricity or gas bill, The water company will up their rates, you'll get a speeding fine. etc etc. And all this on a combined income of £220 per week Say good bye to your life.

From my memory Trials Forum started as Tenbytrials (Tomturds personal website/ forum) and then merged with a few other small forums and was renamed as it is today. Then there was the whole affiliate thing where Trials websites such as Bashguard.com would link to TF instead of having their own competing forums. That was 2001, and then eventually TF outgrew all its feeder websites, they all died off and it reigned supreme! Then there was the Trialskings forum of course which was pretty big for quite a while. As for the relic that is/ was Modandstock () that dated back to 1997 or 1998 ? I didnt start looking into Trials on the web until 1999 so I dont know if there were any other notable forums before that one. I dont think so though. A little history lesson there
