  1. You were quick to get pics up! They are looking good. Was crazy seeing that many riders in Norwich. Was quite a show, especially outside C&A steps! I'm aching all over despite the fact I didnt do that much riding Thats what three years of Uni does to you. Give me a bell next time you are in Cromer
  2. I've got to pick my bike up from my sisters in the city (Im coming in by train from Acle) but I will be there. Haven't checked times yet but probably sometime 11-12ish I guess. Its a shame the war memorial (still) isnt open because we use to spend hours riding that spot! Has anyone found any new spots recently?
  3. Stu's coming so thats one more old school rider I will see again at this ride! Shall we set a time as well or has that already been done? also where is the cheapest/ best place to park? (For Oli not me)
  4. Another request. Can somebody bring some tar along? That would be ace
  5. add Oliver Victor Sparrow to the list of riders coming
  6. Funny you should mention this because last Friday I spoke to Martyn at a demo and asked him this very question. There isn't one lined up and its pretty unlikely there will ever be a third. He wasnt very happy with the second one!
  7. I wish. I will be out on Sunday in Norwich all being well. I have even dusted off my bike and given it a clean! Im trying to get Frika and Lloyd Watts down but cant get hold of them have fun camping.
  8. are you riding Norwich on the Sunday as there's a big ride planned that day?
  9. I'll try and make it. Havent seen Jimbo the Trials chimp in ages!
  10. How do i find the TF game as there are about 1,000 games listed?
  11. Shark Attack 3: Megaladon 10/10
  12. Here's mine. Still going strong 4 years on- which shows how much I have ridden in the last few years When I bought it was hard to imagine the day when owning a Zebdi would actually be rare! Another sign how much Trials has developed in a short space of time. One of the last frames when a 26" Trials bike had similarities to a mountain bike.
  13. Take a look at the UK Intelectual Property Office for information on patents. In summary though... - typical patent takes 2-3 years to grant - The application fee is £200 - The fees for hiring a patent agent to do the work could be around a £1,000 - Fill out the patent application form found here and send it to Company House to apply - It will only cover you for the U.K. market. If you are planning on selling it abroad and need exclusivity then you have to get a separate patent for each country - It lasts for 20 years - Keep quiet about your idea... "It is important that you do not tell anyone about your invention before you apply to patent it, because this may make your patent invalid." Time to start editing your posts read this on registering a Business/ company name
  14. That's terrible advice! Not everybody is fortunate enough to be able to pick things up easily and get away without a lot of revision and hardwork. Just because you're lucky enough to be able to blag a few exams doesnt mean everybody else is. You're 20 and handing that out as advice The moral of the story is not what you just said. Its listen to Bongo and his sound advice! Not only wisdom but plant based metaphors. Genius
  15. Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters New Radicals - You get what you give (classic!) 5ive - Everybody get up now (think thats what its called. Pop gold) The Scatman (R.I.P.) Mark Ronson - Ooh Wee Maroon 5 cant remember anymore
  16. Last summer I was working for a multinational insurance broker doing a bit of admin to pay off my overdraft. Was rather dull and repetitive but on the plus side I got to read about some pretty amusing/ stupid insurance claims. Even got one photo sent in of a blooded, severed hand as evidence for a 'chainsaw malfunction' incident! The guy actually seemed pretty proud of it from the way he wrote his letter! I'm presuming he used the other hand when writing it Just got a new job for when I finish uni at Norwich City Council (the same council that denied planning permission to build a statue of Alan Partridge in the city ). My job title is 'Business Planning Assistant', not even entirely sure what that is myself after the interview! Glorified admin possibly, but its only for 6 months and good pay. What I want to do is get on Dragons Den then setup my own company
  17. Severance - 7/10 that guy that got his leg snapped off in that trap. Legend
  18. "I dont know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.... I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany." On another note.... Platoon 9/10
  19. 'This is Spinal Tap' (watched for the 3rd time, and still getting better) ... 9/10 Stone Henge!
  20. Good luck JT. This reminds me a lot of the following book.... Which I recommend highly!
  21. Does it really matter that much if it becomes mainstream? I highly doubt that Trials will ever be as popular as say skateboarding anyway, so it will never get to the point where you wont be able to find a riding spot that isnt in use or overcrowded. I really dont think that where Trials is now there is any reason to fear it becoming too mainstream- far from it! Sure Trials has grown a lot in recent years but it is still very much a minority sport. There might be certain areas of the country where its particularly popular but if you averaged it out across every town and city I'm sure you'd find a very different story. Do you not think this question was being asked years ago? When there were barely any trials speific parts let alone mail order company's like Tarty and Select. The bigger the sport grows the more people that can find out about it and get involved. I dont know when you started riding? but if Trials hadn't have progressed in the years before then maybe you (or others on here) may have never even found out about the sport. I was lucky that when I started I had riders in my town, otherwise not a chance I would have discovered Trials. And I'm sure the same is true for loads of other people out there now, but they will take up something else unless the sport carrys on progressing and gaining more publicity. Seems a bit selfish to hope that Trials doesnt get any bigger just for the sake of avoiding a few irritating kids that will quit before too long anyway if they arent really interested.
  22. yeah the FA Cup fina; was sooo boring. I needed to have a cup of tea to wake me up. Cant wait for the Liverpool v Milan rematch though. On paper and form wise you'd have to say Milan are far the superior team, but then Liverpool always have that winning knack in the big cup games. I will never jforget the final two years ago- best pub atmosphere I have ever been in. The whole place just jumping up and down like loonatics and hugging random strangers! dont even support Liverpool. Bring on Wednesday
  23. Comic Relief and Eurovision... two dates in the TV calander that I avoid like the plague Terry Wogan's little comments were amusing about 5 years ago (or should that be 50?) but now they are just tiring. Especially when Britain get barely any votes and he blames it on our foreign policy and politics. Nothing to do with the fact that our entrys are always utter dross then Tezza ?
  24. Jarhead - 6.5/ 10 Was a pretty good film and I did get into it, but didnt live up to some of the hype I'd heard about it. I suppose it doesnt help when you have watched Full Metal Jacket a few days before hand! and by the way FMJ - 9/10 Absolute beast!
