Meh Just kidding, awesome as per usual
  2. A method that I find really effective, which is also something which appears to be a common trend from what has been suggested above, is to occupy your mind with something completely banal, just about enough to inhibit any active and stimulating thought. A technique I read about and always works for me is to firstly get into a reasonably comfortable position in bed, and then to slowly count down from 100 to 0. I find trying to breath slowly, and pretty much match my counting pace with my breathing. If you find yourself switching to a new thought go back to the counting and to be quite disciplined in your concentration. I have never had this technique fail me. Though, if I get to about 40 and feel like I’m not about to drop off I go back to 99.
  3. Crazy powerful! I thought I was watching an east-European/ Russian video when you where hoping next to that gap! Good work

Great vibe and great riding all-round! Gutted I was working when you were in Bristol. Ben’s catch was definitely the highlight for me though – caught that bottle like a Baws! Liking the last track on the video. Who’s the artist?

Me and Steve went on a bit of a trials roadtrip around North Devon a few days back, stopping wherever looked like a cool place to ride. Had good fun filming and editing it, some cheesy parts but hey, It aint easy being cheezy!
  7. Pretty much as description, good weather yesterday evening so Ben brought his camera and we filmed a few clips. Also some clips of Ben riding in Portsmouth from the other week thrown in for good measure -
  8. Right handed, right footed (football etc), chocolate foot - left.
  9. Nice one guy’s! Bristol last weekend was awesome! Have to meet up for another ride sometime.
  10. Ye I’m up for it, provided my shoulder sorts itself out by tomorrow – bin acting a bit strange today for some reason. We’ll have to have a sidehop-off again phil! I still suck balls at sidehops!
  11. What time/place are people thinking of meeting?
  12. Definitely up for this, sounds like it should be pretty awesome! Weather looks decent too.
  13. Hey, I heard that back in the day people used the Citroen LHM fluid to bleed there Magura’s as a cheap alternative to the official Magura Blood. Can’t seem to find the stuff anymore but does anyone know if the “Halfords Brake Fluid LHM Plus” would work instead? I don’t really want to give it a water bleed as I will be travelling in a couple of weeks and the bike will be standing for a few months. cheers guys
  14. Here goes, always rode 26” so a bit biased but.... Rowan Johns – Swish Style Akrigg – Creativity/ Balls Damon – Power/ “How the f**k” TRA (He counts!) – Technique/ Power. Whenever I struggle on a side-hop or gap, I think “What would TRA do?” Adam burns - Had to get a trials king in there! Generally a massive inspiration back in the day.
  15. Ye, I'm deffo up for it. Think my train gets in at about 17:10 so I'll be knocking around the station entrance.
  16. Might be up for this, not too far. Which station u guy's thinking about, temple meads or parkway?
  17. Hi all, I went up to YMSA’s Bracken Rocks event on the 2nd of May to spectate the competition. I took a few videos of the day, for anyone whose interested here they are. I tried to go for the artsy, shaky-cam-esque, faux-amateur look where ever possible. Think I achieved it quite successfully Ben Slinger - section: Joe Oakley - section: James Sheridan -section: Ben Slinger - sweet gap to front (ignore the mid video commentry : Ben Slinger - Brakeless mess around: Also just like to say how good of a day I had, and how much I recommend attending a competition even if it's just to watch. There was such a chilled atmosphere there, and all the riders/ organisers where really friendly and welcoming. Also surprising what you can learn just from watching, my riding seemed to improve just from watching how the top riders use their energy so efficiently. Even the sections didn't look as threatening as I imagined as there are sections marked out for all abilities. Only regret was not taking my bike with me!!
  18. Hey mate, its Dylan from Tywyn, finally decided to get on the forum! My cousin said you were down Tywyn the other day, how do you like the new rocks? Pretty awesome eh! It’s bloody typical, I’ve been riding every day in Tywyn, just moved up to Cheltenham about a week ago, took my bike and everything then you turn up in Tywyn! :P

Anyway, hope your good mate, s...

  19. Hi there! My name is Dylan, I'm 22 years old and am originally from Tywyn on the west coast of Wales, but have just moved down to Cheltenham. I rode trials obsessively for about 4 years on my trusty Monty x-lite 231 until I passed my driving test, parts broke, uni etc, and went a few years without riding. However, always had a niggling urge to get back into riding and an Onza Limey 2 going ridiculously cheap on e-bay last Christmas meant I couldn't resist buying it!! Since then I've been going through the process of re-learning stuff and am addicted to trials once again!!! cheers, Dylan
