Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Dwarf Shortage replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
I was watching Kerching! and on typing on my iPod touch... Anyway, if you've been like this with all your girlfriends, have you never thought that perhaps you might not be ready for a relationship, or that you need to take a different approach? It could be your age refraining you, or it could be your mindset, a good mate of mine's never had any confidence really, but watching him in his short relationship was just painful. Try a relationship with someone you barely know, that way if you f**k up it doesn't matter, and you've got loads to talk about? I missed out on the cannabis thing, and it's a great song -

From the wikihow for flirting "don't use too many, other wise she may perceive you as a homosexual." How long ago was this written?! And for whom?! Btw modifiedrudeboi2k9, what Boumsong said may have been harsh towards you, but there is definitely some good advice in there, don't try to grow up before your time, and don't get too tied up with relationships, you're 12, it's supposed to be the most care-free years of your life, if you don't feel comfortable, don't try to force things to work. I'm not trying to be a knob with you 'cause you're young, but don't get too serious. And I'm starting to teach my nephew my ways in hope of creating an "Ulti-human" In more recent news, I actually beginning to hope mine would end... E's are good, e's are good, he's Ebeneezer Goode! -
Gonna go with the quasi-udon as it looks awesome, if Bronz checks in here, thanks dude Will have a look at the cheesecake as well, although my girlfriend's doing a cheesecake so I might do something else... I'll let you know how it goes

Before I PM him, you do mean Muel right? And Dan, if I don't end up doing a chinese-night, I'll give you a shout, thanks man
-
I could just do a main and a dessert, I have to choose between doing dessert or starters so that doesn't matter. Is there a recipe for Bronz's quasi-udon on here? I have no idea what a quasi-udon is, and I can't cook for shit. And Dan, I can't wait to get it over with haha, I hate cooking, but I've been forced into it by my girlfriend's mum. And sack arguing with her. Also, forgot to mention, it's my girlfriend and her twin sister*, and their Mum and Dad are insane foodies, won't eat anything out of a box, they make everything from scratch and her Dad's a chef etc... *

Hey, I know there's a fair few chefs/foodies/kitchen whizzes on here, so I humble myself before you, and ask of your advice Basically, me and some friends are doing a Come Dine With Me type thing, and we're all going to each others houses, we each cook everyone a meal, and score each other's efforts out of ten. So it pretty much is Come Dine With Me, but it's not being televised. Or recorded for that matter. And before some smart alec comes in and lectures me on how gay it is. I know. I've gotten dragged into it all by my girlfriend, and need some ideas. Right! I was going to do a stir fry, as I looooooooove stir fry, but I was thinking it might be too easy and that I could do something which takes more effort, as I can't be assed with them saying "Haha, as if you actually did a stir fry, it took you what, 10 minutes?"* So I want to do a chinese-themed meal, preferably a main course and a dessert, although I could do a starter and a main course, but desserts > starters any day of the week. So if you've got chinese-y meals**, preferably with a dessert, lay 'em down son*** *They can actually get pretty negative, I end up proving them wrong when they try to take the piss out of me, and it's gotten beyond playful banter, and sometimes they're pretty hell bent on proving me wrong. It may be my fault for being an enormous pedant at times, but still... **Or even just ideas I could do to create a Chinese-y feel to the night, e.g. lanterns/decorations etc.. **Or daughter

Hey Stu, and welcome to TF I've got a M.A.D. Phase 1.2, and I loooooooove it! http://www.evanscycl...2-bike-ec015130 Doesn't have a saddle, but it's relatively cheap and good value for money. Also, take a look at www.tartybikes.co.uk (if you haven't already), who pretty much every single rider on here will recommend to you Would stay clear of that Onza SpyroGyra though, despite it being cheap and having a seat, it looks shit, and from what I've heard, it is pretty shit. Best thing to do would be to wait until you're validated and took a look at the For Sale section on full members. Also submitted a validation vote for you

M.a.d. Phase 1.2 Upgrade Advice Needed!
Dwarf Shortage replied to Dwarf Shortage's topic in Trials Chat
Even though I'm only 9 stone-ish, I'm still a bit of a basher so I'm more bothered about strength than weight atm I don't know what's worth changing and what's worth keeping haha, although I know I want some new pedals and some yellow heatsinks, that's about it... I was just wondering if there's components on the 1.2s that are major things to change to improve it, and that people would change right out the box. And I'm still debating whether to go single speed or not, as I detest gears and mine have started skipping a lot recently, but I use it for long distance as well, and it could be getting even longer soon. Thanks Ryan x -
Hey, anytime I get money I end up wasting it on crap, and I want some stuff to upgrade on my bike so it can give me something to save towards I've got a M.A.D Phase 1.2, Spec: Handlebars: MAD oversized Stem: MAD oversized Brakes: Magura HS 33 hydraulic rim brakes Chainset: Suntour Duro Trails cranks with ISIS splined bottom bracket set Wheels: Alex trails rims Tyres: Maxxis High Roller super tacky compound tyres I haven't changed anything yet, and would appreciate some advice on which parts need replacing most Oh, and I copied the spec from Evans Cycles as I don't really know it entirely, so if something doesn't seem right, I could go and have a look. Schuh w/ Republic are doing half price on all the old 6.0s now, and at £25 a pop, you can't go wrong

I don't even think he's a real person. Some alternate account one of the more regular TF members has made, just to spam the shit out of everything. For some reason.

I wouldn't say I have unbelievably high standards, I just don't like Megan Fox...

Due to your post, I couldn't tell whether you wanted drum and bass or not. If you do,

Ew. I'd post a pic, but I doubt she'd be too happy + privacy concerns etc.. If you watch Knight and Day, some scenes she looks god awful, others she looks insanely fit, it was just too much for me to take.

I saw the 24:2010 Tour, got pretty darn excited when I saw stocks could come and was going to ask about coming along for the ride, until I read the location and dates table, and there's no way I could make any of it, so I'm looking for local people to get on a few rides with, get some advice, see some moves in the flesh etc... I'm 5 minutes away from Blackburn, so I'm just looking for anyone in a close proximity to ride with. If anyone could pm me, I'd love it if I could get more involved with some other riders, and sort out a ride some time Ryan x

You shouldn't be throwing yourself into girls if you don't feel confident, just get some mates and go out drinking or something, just try to build up your confidence enough to make a base for "girl-confidence" -

I used to be insanely shy, now I'm over-confident-bordering-on-being-a-cocky-b*****d. It's just how you think about yourself, don't let anything negative that people say get to you, and definitely don't go out looking for girls, go out looking for a good time, take some good mates along for the ride, and once you get confident enough, with the added confidence of being with your mates and probably some help from good ol' alcohol, work your way up to making a move on them. From past experience good friends make good relationships, although don't leave it that long that the girl wants it to stay as just friends. Also, don't get envious, it's a girl, not your one-in-6-billion-soul-mate, it sounds clichéd and over-used, but there actually is plenty more fish in the sea. +1, suicidal bitches is the worst kind of bitches, get out of there, block phone numbers, e-mails, pretty much all communications, and run for your f**king life. With girl 2, it's probably worth the wait to see if she's going to make anything of you two, I'm in a similar situation, but reversed and I can't wait... -
Watched "Knight and Day" tonight, still can't decide whether Cameron Diaz is fit or not. Not a bad film though, although every time you could feel the action was about to kick in, the camera blacked out as "June" or "Roy" were drugged. Got insanely annoying after a while and you just wanted to see shit blow up.

Just whack it in, I got some pliers, just gripped it and squeezed it back in.

I just knocked mine back in with a hammer, and it's been fully functioning and going strong ever since.
