  1. Hi guys, The venue for the last round of the champoinship requires lots of money as it is an indoor bmx/skate park (same people new venue as last years indoor/outdoor fun event) The club cant afford what they require. The riders at the last round agreed, and a new/old venue will need to be found. I am going to be busy, work wise leading up to this so dont have a lot of time to source a new venue. We are welcome back to Bob Macgregor for the 9th October if you want. I dont mind where it is and will do the setup/entries as usual. Some comment as to where you want would help here. Only from those that intend to turn up please!!! On another note I do hopefully have a new indoor venue for next year but not ready till next year. Entry form a few posts down!
  2. sorry gary but the entries had all gone out, even by then. The venue had been booked as well. In hindesight none of the down south riders came and those that made comment about weekends booked were not there either but we live and learn. I hope the decision to do the moto gives you that champoinship. It is very hard to keep everybody happy all the time and arranging dates, at the beginning of the year, when I didnt know who was coming just had to be done. I beleive that the moto trials dates were changed from the begining of the year anyway. I tried very hard so nothing in the cycle trials year clashed but there isnt enough weekends in the year. Other guys wanted to ride but cant because they road race in the scottish champs. The fav P word that I said I would never mention ever again. Next year I will try my best not to clash anything.
  3. Update from todays comp. Results and champ positions below. Good weather and as usual the Bob Macgregor with all its new sections and giant boulders allowed a great trial. (I hope) Maybe ease down on the inter level and Novice level a wee bit? Aaron has been xrayed and released with a pot on his ankle. He has been told its a minor break and should heal asap. We all wish him a quick recovery. Thanks to the first aiders that attended to him at the section. Thanks to all the observers and time keepers. I will keep you updated as to the venue for the next one. Congratulations to the riders that did well in the event and look as if they have wrapped up the first Scottish champoinships in their class.
  4. No worries guys, The next one is over in North Berwick (hopefully) on the 9th October. get a day off and we will see you there. Just keep an eye on the comp section for details. Hopefully a full champoinship next year.
  5. Hi Dan, Received yesterday. Thank you. Got Trevors yesterday as well thanks. Havnt heard from any of our down south riders that said they may come up. Anybody coming? If not then I dont need to set out Elite sections. Let me know if you can make it.
  6. comp on at Bob Macgregor trials park just south of Glasgow this weekend 21st. I think most of the trials riders from around you will be there. See competition section for details. Come along and say hello, even enter on the day if you want.
  7. Hi Ben, Scottish and new to the venue. If its not to far down south then might come along with my boys. Where is it?
  8. No worries you gota be there for the end and start of your next life. Didnt use the P word, the special drugs are helping. Hope it all goes to plan and let us know.
  9. Just been over to BM park this afternoon as I was working near by. The new rocks although just dumped are huge and very huge and all angles and very grippy. Five new sections and two from last time (tyres and pipes) changed routes. There will be an elite route if anybody enters? I will be there Saturday to mark out and there is plenty to practice on all day if you want an extra days play. Practice your two and a half min per section as it will be enforced. See you all in a couple of weeks.
  10. It is only a one day competition on Sunday, (after Kinlochleven disaster earlier in the year!!) There will be a few people there for the two days and camping on site. I will be there setting up and the rest will just be playing around all day. Have some fun games and or training sessions later on if there is a enough people.
  11. No worries Trev, see you on the 21st? Another oldie is coming but he doesnt want to compete this time.Trying to convince him its not to bad.
  12. The local lads spent the day doing demos and letting new kids ride to raise funds for a skate park, with the addition of landscaped in sections to practice on in Haddington. The CLAN were doing shows next door and I would just like to say a big thanks to them all for the time they spent inbetween shows with the kids and letting them get the public to put there hands in there pockets to raise some more during there shows. I know it meant alot to them. I had to leave early for other things with my boys, so I hope the rest of the show went well. Thanks again guys and for the donation.
  13. Four weeks till we all get back to competition! Its been to long a wait over the summer. Get yer enties in>
  14. Lewis, G,and anybody else. Still be coming up on Saturday. Will just camp somewhere on Saturday night with my boyz then head up to the Bill for Sundays event.
  15. Date above before World Trials round at Fort William. KInlochleven at the Mound around midday. Brilliant venue with big grippy rocks. Stay around Kinlochleven on Saturday night for a beer and then head up to watch Bou and co strut their stuff. will bring up the flags and mark out some sections if you want.
  16. Ben, It is 8/9th October. Shame it clashes. Next year.
  17. Strictly ignored everywhere. Just back from a Tyke trial weekend. Dont worry as long as you have a helmet, thats all you need. Good response from the riders at the tyke trial this weekend, Yellow flags will be ordered. Spare tubes this time!!
  18. Just a quick and big thanks to everybody for the weekend. Had great time and the boyz really enjoyed the fun and the comp. What a brilliant venue. Neil, sorry about the rain but we did okay for sun shine I think. Tourist rocks were superb as well. WEll done Ben on your award, only just having met you I can see it was well deserved. Hope my pictures are okay? See some of you at Bob Macgregor in August.
  19. Get a dummy for these over practiced elite riders who could beat everybody if they get there priorities in order. Just stirring Ross before you go of on one. I appreciate that you have made the effort to all of them except last one. Vans packed and we are leaving first thing in the morning for two days riding at a great venue by all acounts. Other halfs Birthday ah still young and in LOVE.
  20. Dan you can borrow my Limey for Glasgow if you want to try a 26 in comps. Have Onza not brought out a PRO Zoot frame for this year?
  21. I agree, but nearly half the entry was Scottish and half of that were club members. There was a big Inverness group but none of them want to be in the club. We had a good lot of Scottish riders on the podium both days in the British side. Gary Mac, AJ, Ross Macdonald, Stuart Crayk, Simon Duke and a few others just off the podium places. You first got to be their to win. There may be a new/old venue for next year which now word is getting around may get some to travel. I think the grand scale, the thought it was a British champ scared some riders away. I know those that turned up really enjoyed it. We made a lot of new friends and some of the over the border riders will be coming to Glasgow. I even may have to buy yellow markers. I know that the club is getting known now by the increased number of enquiries and although entry levels are as good as they should be, I think next year should be better for numbers. As for the names you mentioned above, I know that they/you all have other committments/work but it depends on where your priorities are. We are off to Tyke trial this weekend and after asking for any other riders to put up a Scottish team its still only me and my two boys going. (I know Gary before you say anything) But we think we will get our Scottish team with Jamie Bew and Ben Swales after all! See the usual faces in Glasgow and maybe some of the names above to compete with the travelling English guys. SHOULD I ORDER THE YELLOW MARKERS?
  22. Barbara knows the Duke boyz are coming down and Dad.
  23. To keep you all happy uptodate champoinship positions after Frort William round. 2 to go. Red indicates worst score so far and the one you have to drop.
  24. You were fourth I think, I will try to get results and champ points up tonight if I m back in time.
