  1. I am saying nothing. But I ain't delivering a baby in the middle of a trial. You bring her, you did the dead so you take the baby messy bit. Remember to wash your hands and clean your teeth. Ross you live, hows it going you old mucker, missed a brilliant weekend at Fort Bill. I know commitments.
  2. That one you can't miss for a trial.
  3. Hi Ben, I'm old man, cant remember where I have been all weekend by now! We discussed a few things, but cant think of anything urgent. Website, team for next week, £20 you owe me, pictures from the weekend for next. Let me know.
  4. Well back around 10am after a pizza stop at Calendar. What a brilliant weekend and the sun did shine. Thanks to Barbara, Fred and the rest of the officials and observers for a really well run event. My two had a great time. Thanks to the Scottish club riders and our two adopted English riders for making the Scottish event on the Saturday a worth while addition I hope. It was great to meet everyone we did and we shall see you all next weekend at Brimham. Hope you all had a safe drive home.
  5. Hi Guys, BTF have answered your refund issue. Your two mates are the same as I said to you, If you dont join the Scottish trials club then you will not be include in our results. You will only ride for the British champoinship as all the other riders under their rules. Come and see me on Saturday if you have any problems. Hope you get your bike fixed.
  6. Hi G, Will be up at the venue early morning Friday to help with any set up left to do, so not coming back down. Would be fun though. Rab and Max have entered for Saturday, but dont know when they are leaving. Max the comps going to be super warm and Sunny just like home.
  7. Sorry I dont know the disc in question, but from what you say, in my thought process is it that the SUDDEN loading from the tyre gripping and the weight applied from the rider and bike is causing the rotor part to move in relation to the wheel mounting part of the disc. (ie the small arms of metal that connect the two and are usually smallish to save weight) This would cause the disc to warp as the rotational forces would have to go some where other than parallel with the mount and the braking surface. I am 17 stone and although I dont do much on my trials bike, I have a downhill rotor and a old Hope M4 caliper (its what I had lying around) It never moves but probably weighs more, but I weigh more anyway!!
  8. To The Scottish club members who have entered the event. It will be something different from what we run and I hope you all enjoy the experiance. Quick note to any Novice and Primary riders: this will be marked under BTF full rules and not the Scottish version!! Please read up on their rules, which are on their website. Also the sections will be timed at 2min 30 sec to get through the section. See you at the start on Saturday.
  9. Send me an em and I will send one to you. It will not let me attach one here for some reason. biketrial@tiscali.co.uk. Kevin
  10. You have to be a Scottish club member to count for Scottish champoinship points. You can ride in the event just for the British champoinship trophies. The sections on the Saturday are the same for both events and all riders go of together as per the BTF timings. Scottish riders with scottish club membership are riding for both wins!!! Its up to anyone entered to join the club and ride for Scottish points. Ben Swales and Jamie Bew are Scottish club members so will count for Scottish points. (Jamie do you want the Scottish box ticked as you havnt on your entry?) Hope its clear now.
  11. To all riders entered to compete in the Scottish champoinship on Saturday. You need to be a member of the Scottish Bike Trial Club to be counted for the Scottish points and awards. We have nine entered. Aaron Duke, Simon Duke, Trevor Bechtel, Dan Wright, Gary Macdonald, Jamie Bew, Andrew Macdonald, Ian Archibald, Lewis Munro and (Angus Ross, Ben Swales Forms in post) are members. Grant Macdonald and Stephen Nicholson I dont have you as club members. Please let me know this weekend what you want to do. biketrial@tiscali.co.uk Kerian Morrison is not wanting to compete for Scottish points. Donna Fox again please let me know what you want to do. The rest of the Scottish riders entered and not down for the Scottish champs, I guess that you are okay with just riding the British champs so no Scottish points. I need to get Scottish medals organised on Monday so please let me know.
  12. Thanks for that Ross. I havnt even played it. Milo it is open all the time to memebers. Once you join then you get a key for the front gate. Still need to discuss bike trial rates with them. You can also pay a day/weekend rate to use the facilities. There is someone there most weekends I think
  13. Hi Milo, Brakeless is no go. The rules state bikes must be in full working condition. (that includes brakes) If you fell and hurt you or someone else then the event isurance will be invalid. This has been confirmed by those at the BTF which our events are run and insured under. Sorry but thats the way it shall need to be. So fit some brakes and come and play.
  14. I will check the rules, but still cant see the point of competing brakeless. Street yes, but comp?
  15. Gary yup just noticed I missed that bit when I copied over from last one. It is round six. Milo No. You would not get round any sections without brakes.
  16. Summer is down here and its sunny, warm and no wind and it stupid time in the morning again. Saw the snow forcast on the telly, got to love Scotland. PM me on the tyke trial two day team event if you and AJ can make it? Anybody else want a weekend away competing. I will get free club T shirts made for those that want to get a team together? Four man teams with primary, novice, inter and one other at either expert or elite.

It was a long day but worth the drive. My boys had great day. Good to meet so many nice enthusiastic people for the sport. See you all at the Bill.(weather will be better its Scotland after all) We will be doing the last two British champ rounds as well this year hopefully!
  18. Entry forms attached. Plenty of time so, PLEASE HAVE THEM IN BEFORE 15TH AUGUST TO MAKE MY LIFE EASIER. NO ENTER ON THE DAY. The observing rules will be by Bike trial Federation rules for All classes and 2min 30 second time limit will apply. You are all welcome to arrive on Saturday and camp Saturday night. There is plenty to play/practice on and the facilities will be available for us both days. (they would welcome a donation only for the use of the facilities if you can) Hope we can have a bigger entry than we have at the last couple of rounds. £3 day member ship will apply to non club memebers and no champoinship points shall be awarded to day memebers. Last round is confirmed for 9th October at the new indoor bike venue at North Berwick. I will be taking a visit in the next few weeks to look at the layout and some BMX sections like last year. Party and presentation at night if you all want it and ride the next day at the venue or 2 min to the big rocks on the beach where some of you went last year. Train Station in North Berwick is 5min from Venue. 21ST AUGUST FOR THOSE THAT MAY BE COMING AND I TOLD YOU THE WRONG DATE FROM FORT BILL WEEKEND. SORRY. I WILL BRING ENTRY FORMS TO BRIMHAM THIS WEEKEND.

  22. The 20/21st of August is confirmed dates with Ian Shankie. He has just had 700 TONS ? of rocks delivered to site and is waiting on the 40 ton excavator to move them into sections in the next couple of weeks. This site has loads of facilities and great areas for sections. I spoke with a few riders at the last Tyke trial and you are more than welcome to come along for the weekend and enter on the comp on Sunday. I will post up entry forms here at the weekend when I get back from work. We dont run an elite group of sections but if any elite riders want to ride then, I will layout a yellow route.
  23. From the Duke boyz a big thanks to all for the day. Especially for putting in a white route for Simon at late notice. It was great to see how well you guys ran an event and it will make a few improvments to the running of our Scottish events. Weather as usual, but we came prepared so it wasnt to bad! We got home about 7.30pm from being up from 5am so was a long day but really enjoyed it. Hopefully will see you at a few more this year.
