Helped a neighbour remove a manifold from an old Mini and removed my 17 year old cat/cat back lying under the car without much issue. I'm guessing clearance is next to nothing on the miata?

How hard can It be? I've changed downpipes/cat backs lying on the floor without jacks or stands. Can't imagine a manifold in situ being a lot harder

Helped fit a gearbox to a Volvo V50 today, it taught me if I'm ever unfortunate enough to own a V50 and anything clutch/box etc breaks to buy a new car. Even with multiple jacks and an engine hoist it was an absolute fanny of a job. I supposed many a beer didn't help but still, f**k that.

Fitted the new single exit exhaust, only a touch louder but it has a really deep raspy roar, pops and burbles and makes me want to wear panties just so they can drop when I accelerate. Mmmmmmm

Getting prices on a turbo conversion. Free flowing intake/exhaust/intercooler and a boost controller should get me about 300hp/280ft/lb plus if I get a Rev3(best engines) they're all pre July 95 and were available import only so I'd have very relaxed emissions
