  1. Unless there's a way to make the arches taller, being wider won't stop it scraping at all. It needs raising anyway
  2. The edges don't scrape it's the top side of the arch
  3. Get a roof rack and carry a few planks of wood with you, the added weight will help lower it even more to be honest I need mine sorting asap now, fed up of not being able to go over 40ish unless I know the road well because any slight in/decline and my wheels scrape the top of the arch, making them stiffer doesn't help either
  4. I stuck my coilovers on as they came and they're far to low, not even sure if the preload on the springs is even to be honest. Gunna take it to WIM to get them sorted properly
  5. Maybe it's a stranger? http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Strangers
  6. Central locking keeps repeatedly locking/unlocking when it's wet and did it now good old coat hanger got it open though
  7. Central locking f**ked up whilst scraping the ice off my car so now I'm locked out my house and my car, I'm late for work and the engines running
  8. The distance between speedbumps is enough to get to about 15/20mph and back down again, I didn't drive down my road at more than 15ish in my old city rover because theres no point
  9. Your cars looking nice now, have you polished it?
  10. Some people drive like utter c**ts. Driving down my road to get home, <10mph because constant speed bumps and a silver Kia sportage is so close to my car I can't brake without it hitting me. I indicate and start overtaking a parked car as he boots it and tries overtaking me, I put my hand out the window to basically say wtf (didn't stick my finger up or anything) and he starts to just hold his horn down and puts his full beams on. I stop the car and get out so I can tell him to f**k off and he just swings round me and goes flying down the road. Just drove around the small estate and found the car, gunna go have words tomorrow and most likely report him for dangerous driving.
  11. Try 220miles average out of a 55L tank
  12. They are? Unless available as an added extra when ordering the car I think it's illegal. Even if it was an optional extra you need to retrofit the auto balance and washers etc
  13. Keep chatting to them, the halfords by me can order parts from an autofactors and they give me trade discount
  14. Agree with Jardo, impressive driving but so boring to watch
  15. Sennheiser, pretty much anything with that name will be quite decent
  16. That'll probably be why it pulls you mong
  17. I was going to get the coilovers set properly as a main goal with geo being sorted just to save my tyres, atm the car feels fine to hoon but when cruising it sways about, front wheels pulling left to right and back again continuously so I'd rather sort it before and after.
  18. Nick you may be able to help, do you know anywhere local-ish that does decent geometry? My coilovers are all different heights and I'm sure spring preloads are all wrong too, need geo done ASAP as when I boot it and the weights over the rear axle the wrong end has a wobbly trolly wheel feel. Getting polybush's in the next month to 6weeks so I'd like the coilovers set up properly with geo then go back for geo after the bushes just to stop it driving like a sack of shit. Edit* By local-ish I mean between you and me preferably (Bracknell way).
  19. Got the car back, clutch feels amazing, must've been slipping since I'd got the car, feels quicker and proper throws you back in the seat now! New callipers not so good, he bled the brakes about 5-6 times and it still has double the travel and feels spongy, he thinks master cylinder may be on it's way out? Car still pulls and sways and feels unstable but polybush's are getting done within the month (he had no stock), geo is good but I know the ride height needs fiddling with, reckon that's it? Ah well, happy to have it back and driving better but still not 100%
  20. I'd be doing it on axle stands on the side of the road so I'd rather a specialist did it Crack out the silicone sealant until time for a proper repair?
  21. Clutch blown up so it's going to a specialist, even including the fitting of 4x brand new callipers and clutch/gearbox fluids it's still cheaper than Mr Clutch Get something called a Pingi for the car, it absorbs water and all you need to do is microwave it every now and then, I got BOGOF on amazon a while ago on the PingiXL and my car hasn't streamed or frozen inside since.
  22. Even though I'm probably getting the car back Saturday it's still sad to see it go on a trailer
  23. I'm waiting for Stuart Thomas to comment, I don't know about recently but I know he used to do it a lot in the past.
  24. @Haz My clutch has gone bang and need it sorting local. Know of any decent garages nearby? I've got a mechanics yard down my road but he always leaves scratches and dents and just generally doesn't take any care of the car.
  25. Ordered a 5m strip of 5050 LEDS and wired some into the boot to replace the useless 7w bulb. I also plan to have some in the footwells/ under the seats and wire them up to the door switches because I think it'll look cool. Sorry for the amount of shit in my boot
