Giving the girlfriend her mini back tomorrow and won't be getting my car until Wednesday manual conversion went well until I picked it up and less than a minute later the input shaft bearing shat itself, good thing they provided the box otherwise I'd be paying out £500ish for a new bearing. Apparently a common problem on the R33 box's so glad I'm getting nice new shiny bearing. Anyone around Berkshire got a push bike or baller racecar I can borrow for a few days?

Thought about any other styling dan? My car is currently being converted to manual and having the coilovers put on at the same time so I'm 110% in for curby! Won't be able to pay until end of March though as I'm skint

Yep! Looking to have a generic "stage 1" map on it too to iron out the standard ecus flat spots with upped boost and bigger intake/exhaust. Hoping to be sitting pretty at circa 330hp for curby

So when my car isn't broken my girlfriends car is. 57' R56 mini one, 1.6 petrol. It's had the eml popping on and off for a few months now, fault codes diagnosed dead coilpacks on cyl 2+3. Replaced those but it drove the same with the eml occasionally flashing up. Today the eml decided to stay on, two fault codes for the vanos unit having failed. Its going to an independent garage tomorrow, I'm hoping they're able to removed and clean the vanos solenoid and be done with it but I'm preparing her for possibly needing a new vanos unit. That sort of bill for an out of work uni student deep in her overdraft is likely to write the car off until she's finished uni which should make things interesting

Thought I'd get back on here, my account signed me out ages ago and I just didn't sign back in. Skyline is still going, pretty sure the automatic gearbox is going to blow up soon but that's just an excuse to go manual finally got rid of the stock everything and have a nice 3" turbo back exhaust, pod filter and 18x 8.5/9.5 wheels, fronts have 225/40 and rears are 265/35. Also, Jardo if you wasn't sure who was waving at you on the M3 the other day it was me

99% chance my boats getting fixed tomorrow then Thursday it's exhaust, weekend it's painting my advan 3spokes, next week it's getting every belt changed, fluids, plugs, water pump and a MAF adaptor to put a phat cone filter on for wooshy noises! Can't wait, only drove 90miles in it before it broke

@Haz or anyone else local, got an inspection lamp I can borrow tonight? Loose clamp on the turbos water return hose means it's posing water out as quick as it pours in. Inlet manifold off job just to reattach and tighten it and I'll have to be doing it tonight after work in the dark / rain

Stick a multimeter across the terminals with the engine running and see what it says, then rev the engine and see if it rises.

How the f**k am I supposed to get insured on an R33 gtst auto? Been refused two quotes so far. Might be worth doing the swap and selling it to double my money it just means being without a car until it sells / I find a silvia

Been offered a straight swap for my mr2. R33 gtst, no mods at all, clean as f**k, 70k miles, only issue is it's auto hmmm

So my delta two has gone from using a coil every 3-4weeks @40-50w's to using a coil every couple of days @30w. The only thing that's changed is I've gone from spacejam/trip hammer juices to vampire vapes

Been out almost every day for a week, had the worst accumulative hangover ever yesterday but I've recovered enough to go out again tonight for pre-fest drinks, probably not going to survive the Thursday at reading fest let alone the weekend but it's gunna be so good!
