  1. It feels wierd becuase he has the wierdest set-ups ever, he has eight foot long fingers, so LITERALLY has no pull on his brakes, has short stems with his bars tilted as far forwards as you can legally get away with and runs about 45psi in his tyres, due to the rediculous amount of spins he does....
  2. I would strongly recommend not skimping on cranks, and just go and buy some hollowbites or powerbites straight away, that way your sorted for cranks for a long time. Chainring, if you can afford too, get a tree sprocket, that way you are also very much sorted for a chainring for a long time. Tyres, I run a V monster 2.1 on the front and a Ody path 1.95 on the back, and it's perfect for me, but I only ride park 99% of the time, and they are not very strong for street. btw: it's 23:8 :) if you want any advice on bits and bobs you want for your bike, or about setting anything up, add me too MSN, RACOONFISH@HOTMAIL.COM Good websites: http://www.bmx-forum.com For all your needs http://www.alansbmx.com For stuff (Y) http://www.bmx-test.com For reviews on everything from cables to skateparks http://ww.bmx-zone.com General BMX website, with advice, how-to's, pictures, etc Sam :P
  3. Travel to Nottingham to be with my Lady at uni (Y)
  4. T'is a great 360, bloody big, but not the sickest ever, Steven Hamilton would go twice that big :D i think that's by Brooklyn banks in New York..... (Y) Oh yeah, and since when has he been a trials rider?
  5. Until you break it, then PX will treat you like a 6 year old who's lost his lolly :S
  6. You shouldn't be saying it's 'only' a D521, they produce some of the best, long lasting grinds out of most rims.... Give your rim a fine but sharp grind using a stone cutting disc on your grinder, then spend some time setting the brake up nicely with some Koxx bloxx (green or brown are both really good) As for tyres, as aleady said you cannot go wrong with some Maxxis Highrollers in 42a super tacky, but as you have a 521, I suggest getting it in 2.35 and not 2.5, as if you get into trying some spins, the tyre can fold... And for smooth rim pads, go for some heatsinks ^_^ http://www.heatsinkbikes.com
  7. OK, I thought we may aswell have a little topic on some bmx riding as there seems to be an ever increasing amount of us getting into BMX now, so I'll start off..... And before anyone says anything, I didn't use a bloody filter on the picture.... taken at the Boyley jam in Hastings park. Sam ^_^
  8. god-darned Americans, shut up.....
  9. Yaaa, it does look lovely in the flesh, and about the video..... he has been waiting for this bike for bloody ages, and hasn't been riding for about 3 months, hence no footage..... ALSO I've become rather a skatepark bum, and havn't been out with him so much to do much filming, but I'm starting to enjoy street more recently, and will be bringing the camera out with me to film some stuff of everyone, including Jack. Sam
  10. Almost all complete bikes upto things like the Fly pantera full build (£799.99) comes with pretty standard brakes, and 99% of the time, it's the pads that let them down... I ride park, dirt and a bit of street, and find after a while you don't need an amazing brake at all, but I would suggest getting some Plaz fly pads, and toeing them in  Oh yeah, you should try park aswell, if you have the bike for it, at some point maybe when your more confident on it, you should definately give it a go, it feels great flowing around a park :) Brake: Good levers: Diacompe Dirty Harry (2 fingers) Diacompe GoldFinger (1 finger) Odyssey monolevers (trigger :( ) Good Calipers: Odyssey Evolver calipers Fly brake S+M revenge brake Diacompe Magic990 Make sure you get an Odyssey slic calbe (or similar) aswell, they run nice and smooth, you can barspin if you wish, and the cable doesn't rattle about due to the stiffness of the outer cable.
  11. Here: Have this ' I'm f**king useless' medal. *note signature*
  12. Tap Rocks In Amazing Lovely Style
  13. BUT, at the same time, your making the forum be like this by posting with that sort of attitude, ignore the f**king spelling of one word, it doesn't matter for shit.
  14. Anything Federal, fit, WTP, etc are all pretty good. I'd strongly recommend the Federal Light bars if your quite smooth a rider, I have them now, and they are just perfect, they feel comfortable, strong and willing 24/7 :P Fly 3 amigos are another good set of bars  Have a look about on Alans and see what you like the look of, they have brilliant descriptions on each of there products, plus a fair few customer reviews aswell :)
  15. Really? I was more worried about your mates mum fondling you infront of other mothers......... :P
  16. Sorry dude, :- They are some minto pics, and that tap is bloody silly :P
  17. hehehe, lighten up you bunch of flap munchers..... Davetrials, you know 99% of my posts are sarcastic and messing about, so why take it seriously just because one of the pictures is you, Dan tlite, don't call me a dickhead when you don't know me at all, I don't insult anyone.... Jason clark, if you had been on this forum for longer than a month then you may realise I have huge interest in trials, used to love riding UCI trials, and still enjoy watching vids of it and seeing pictures, so yeah, get the logs of wood out your arse's and lighten up.... ^^^ This is a large reason why I gave up trials, it being such a smaller society of people, makes it a more uptight one.... Go on dig at me some more, your on the internet, no one f**king wins losers.
  18. For the rear, get a profile mini with a 14mm axle, or if moneys no object, a titanium 14mm axle. Yes 36 hole is perfect for the rear. As for Alan's wheelbuild's, if no one tells you beforehand, I will be getting my rear wheel built from Alan's, and it should be delivered on Monday, so i'll tell you sometime next week :)
  19. Waheeyyyy (Y) FarCry is the best game ever created in my opinion, albeit it has a few bugs, but the game is just so big you tend to forget about them in 5 minutes....
  20. Not to mention the greatly reduced price I'm sure walkers got the Ipod's for?
