  1. Hey, getting new forks for xmas just so if my dobs snap i have a set of forks to just stick on and not be out of riding. Now i love how my bike is really light, and the front end is a feather. I would like the SL's for their lightness, but heard really bad things about them. Urbans seem good, but heavy! compared to my dobs anyway. So would sl's last as long as my dobs have (a few years!) or will they snap within months. Cheers.
  2. There's one on the ebay shop that comes direct from Onza for £575 i think.
  3. i think we established that, ( wow, a big word for me!) but now he will be asking what one of those 3, which causes another arguement.
  4. It was weird cos they were amazing then i must have contaminated my rim ( i just fixed a lazy piston with the brake still on the bike with some gt85) but the brake is epic now, actualy, I have never used phatpads and i really want to try them, so you might aswell give them a try, change the topic to " reviews on phat pads" or something, because with N.wood posting the LGM thing, another person will say they are bad and an argument will start.... all over again!
  5. Heatsink yellows. You should of seen how good mine were before it went weird and terrible (and wet!)
  6. Dont really like it. Hopefully the actual one will be nicer. For now though, the old ISIS is waaaaay nicer imo.
  7. Hmm... It was erm...eh...was about.... Lobsterdogs! You were right Ali!
  8. Think they are making an onza comp 26" frame so you tarty guys will get more onza stuff in stock when that frame is made possibly? If what you say is true mark, onza must be stupid as the comp is a great frame already!
  9. Wrong words... It like soaks it into the pad if you know what i mean. And yeah, i stopped riding in december 09, cos of snow, then started around april. Anyway, back on topic?
  10. Keep pressing the lever in and spraying the lube into the piston, then ride it for a few mins pulling the lever in and using the brake alot and the piston should loosen itself up.
  11. I lost count not over 1 year, i got my bike last august but didnt ride at all when it was snowing, and was stuck inside all the time... 6-7 months? edit - but still i know my fair share of trials
  12. Deffinitly a lazy piston. GT85 will sort it.
  13. hey! aha, i been riding a decent amount of time ill have you know lol.
  14. Oh just stop picking me out? im sure alot of other people do that on here. The forums bad enough as it is, and doesnt need people like you moaning at eery little thing i say.
  15. Possibly got a slightly lazy piston? even once sanding down the pads oil could still be in tem if they were contaminated cos rubber sucks up oil. You could just get new hs yellows? lol
  16. Lgms seem okay but something that needs absolute perfectness isnt good. With something like hs yellows any kind of grind is good. Yellows are by far the best pad out but i havent tried lgms and dont want to to be honest. They shouldnt be the price they are. From the experience I have had with belaeys (werent mine) is they are utterly shocking. To someone who asked me earlier, the grind was fresh with no contamination and an amazing bleed, 100% square and deffinitly bedded in. I couldnt trust them cos they felt like the were gonna slip back on me and a shocking bite. To anybody who says they are good with tar, so are maggy blacks. Really want to try phatpds as if what mike says is true they sound like the perfect pad, so wil ne ordering some of them and probably along with phatphluid when it comes out.
  17. Well my uncle put a fresh grind on it too and didnt improve it whatsoever. He litteraly got so annoyed with them he changed them mid-ride yesterday lol
  18. Haha. Nice one mate, just saw your for sale topic do you not like the GU?
  19. TNN beleays are terrible. My uncle had them on for 3 days, the hold was okay but it felt like the brake was just going to fail and there was no sound or bite. LGM's I have never tried although some people say they are good some say there bad. IMO, TNN is not the best pad out there, and for £30 you would expect better than phatpads or HS yellows but no.... Heatsink yellows or the new phat pads seem good. Not TNN. Unless used with tar.
  20. Proabaly the best thing to do is get CNC'd backings, a fresh grind + a new bleed. Could help loads.
  21. I want to try but my vid is only on youtube and the laptop i have with the vid saved on it has a virus, so i cant use it. Damn. I wouldn't stand a chance anyway lol
  22. A couple of people said they own one and it skips.
  23. Yerr Ross' hub skips are fierce, on the memorial ride he went for an up to front or something and it sounded like a chain snap and he faceplanted haha! Probably best to send it to tarty ross, but I havn't read the posts of this thread so it might be sorted.
  24. Sorry it's what I read on a trials-information website.
