  1. What is BDS? Yes there are ranks, like any other sport, that divides each competition into categories of ability/age/gender.
  2. Actually read my comments before jumping in...I was never talking about Ozzy
  3. Maybe I'm being harsh but there is no contact information apart from a very peculiar email address that has two @ symbols... Plus they use EMS Shipping which means everything is coming from China.
  4. Where on earth do you get all of these from??
  5. If any of this is directed towards me, I am sorry. It was not meant to say that you 'hate' street, it was in reply to your post trying to understand why there seems to been a huge difference in opinion. I never said that you are not all about the fun. I don't know you, never pretended that I did, maybe one day I will. Who knows. Nor did I say that street riders show competition riders 'how to have fun'. I said that most street riders don't care what style you ride, as long as you are having fun - who cares?
  6. I think that part of the issue is that a few competition style riders have such a distaste for street riders whereas pretty much all street riders don't really give a shit, as long as you are having fun on a bike, whatever wheel size or geometry it may be, it doesn't matter.
  7. I'm training to become an engineer. Although you should learn this stuff during Standard Grades/GCSE. SI Prefixes SI Base Units (Note there is no sign of the elusive 'micron') Either way you were still 0.2 millimeters out, unless you want to start mucking about with significant figures. Anyway, we are getting wildly off the point so to reiterate my first comment on this thread:
  8. So are they hand painted then rather than printed? Would your mate be willing to make logos that are similar to the Inspired Skye ones, for a reasonable price? I know of someone who, I think, would be interested in that!
  9. I did, and it is micrometre not microns (linky linky). Maybe you should pay more attention, unless you were in school in 1966. Micro is the prefix, metre is the base unit. Therefore you get micrometres.
  10. It is also 76,000 micrometers but you don't hear me complaining... ...7.62 cm is nothing really
  11. Well originally it was Bicycle Motorcross, but then other genres spawned from it, much like trials Edit...at least I pick up a bronze medal
  12. I've taken apart the freewheel and the hub (both needed a bit of a clean anyway) so I should be able to slide a bolt all the way through it easily...just need to buy the bolt. The main issue was just checking whether I was being a retard or not.
  13. Yeah I know how to take one off, half the issue is that the freewheel is attached to a hub rather than a crank, I've got a length of pipe I use for cranks. I need to buy some washers and a longer bolt to fit through a hub and the larger BB tool.
  14. I feel bad now...it was just in response to the massive troll head, if you were wanting a serious reply read my first comment Can I suggest 'a great deal'
  15. Thanks for the clarification...still stuck on, I'll need to hit up B&Q/Homebase and tool up...and find a vice
  16. Right, got an Inspired Freewheel on a Trialtech Hub. The freewheel uses a Bottom Bracket tool to install and remove it. If I have the freewheel facing up I need to turn the tool anti-clockwise right?
  17. Worst 'I've got a grand to spend' topics ever... ...I wonder whether JD has any of those widgets left to buy
  18. Things have changed, there is a For Sale Sub-Forum. Post this there...
  19. Aren't these pretty different, the geometries are completely different... If street is King in your eyes, better to go for the Skye? Although if you do a bit of both the Echo might be a better option?
  20. I should have replied on this sooner, I have a pair of Kenda K-Rads sitting at home, came on my Inspired when I bought it. The treads are in pretty good condition as I moved on to Holy Rollers as I found them not to be grippy enough
  21. Watched this last night, great filming and editing. As said the music fitted it very well
  22. Is it okay to say that didn't look very good? Only two riders and a man running amok (the music didn't help), a bit disappointing really...
  23. They look okay. I see the legs use an older style of locking the legs rather than a quick release type system, that could get annoying. Obviously worth going to your local camera shop and giving them a try, something to look at is how small they compact down to.
  24. Well, this is still the wrong section. Have you tried looking though the for sale section? I know that there were a few of each for sale, worth taking another look?
  25. Good to see the sport is getting more popular in America? You seem to have a lot of the skills dialled in! Just need to go bigger Some very nice filming there nice song too, and good use of slow-mo for once!
