  1. What part are you after exactly? Cheeky...
  2. Only bashers use this ghetto option! If you have a well used tyre spare that is unusable/unsellable you may as well save £20 and cut it into a few frame guards. It will not offer the same amount of protection as a bash guard but is definitely better than nothing if you are planning to destroy your frame.
  3. To be honest it is better to use another image host such as flickr or photobucket and then using the (image tags) to add lots of pictures to one post
  4. You should be able to pick up some decent trainers for about £60, avoid shitty sports stores unless you know exactly what shoe you are after. Go to a running shop as they will have someone who will be able to help you to get the best one for you feet. Clothing doesn't matter too much as long as you don't get too hot, or too cold and it doesn't 'ride up'.
  5. The headset shouldn't matter! Do the element fork not come with two hole in its top-cap? The team ones do. Might be a case of phoning Tarty to see if they can get a spare team top-cap for you if you can't drill another hole in your one.
  6. You will need a top-cap which has two holes in it, or you could possibly drill your current one. One hole for removing top-cap, the other for the cable. Remove the front brake cable from either its caliper or lever, which ever is easiest. Then thread the cable through the assembled top-cap/fork/frame/headset and reattach it to the caliper/lever. Then either re-bleed or adjust your cable so the brake works nicely, job done!

  8. I'd definitely agree that concept is a little different from the usual street trials video (personally I don't see the similarities between DH and trials, apart from the opportunity to break bones). Glasgow would probably be a better place to film it as there is more to play about on. But if it lets someone get some really good riding footage then that would be great for them.
  9. Right guys, Dominic Simmons, an Edinburgh based film maker, is looking for a 'street flowy trials rider' to be filmed for a part of an upcoming filming project. Obviously details are a little vague at the moment but I'll edit this post when I get more info. Edit: Filming will be between now and mid/end April during the week or weekends, possibly four days total filming (probably less). Riding won't be too spectacular, but may be technical, like big stair drop, hopping between and over ledges, fences etc. If you are interested post up one of your videos or get in contact with Dominic directly via Twitter or Facebook. Some examples of his work can be found here and below:
  10. Are you sure that the caliper is set up correctly? You might need to remove/add a spacer so that the disc passes through the middle of the pads.
  11. Meths - methylated spirits, basically a household(ish!) cleaner.
  12. Old dish brush? Something like that. Same process as your pads but on a larger scale.
  13. Fairy Liquid, warm water + brush! Then hose it down a little.
  14. Well, it is usually written 'Tuesday 14th February' but we say 'Tuesday the 14th of February'. I guess it is one of those silly little conventions from the 15th century...
  15. Just listen to music that you don't have to think about and help clear you mind a little. I mainly listen to Folky music, but that is the music I'm into so I find it relaxes me, or get my in the mood to ride a little bit.
  16. One would guess that they bought the rights to the video so they can show it on their website and at events.
  17. ? Might not be what your are talking about but definitely worth a watch nonetheless!
  18. I'm 'blaming' the white background.
  19. 2012 Geometry: - Wheelbase: 1020mm - Chainstay: 375mm - BB Height: +25mm - Head Angle: 73˚ 2011 Geometry - Wheelbase: 1020mm (measured with Inspired Fourplay fork) - Chainstays: 380mm - BB rise: +20mm - Head angle: 73° So 5mm shorter on the chainstay, but an extra 5mm BB height. The purple looks great, although I'm not too sure about the team colours frame and forks.
  20. He was basically saying that he is quitting trials and is going to do mountain biking full time Maybe he'll turn into Chris Akrigg and start doing a bit of everything... Edit: No, not really. He was saying that he really wanted to progress his riding this year and do a lot more riding in general. So no doubt expect something good.
  21. Watched it on the bus this morning, a couple of interesting lines. Enjoyed the bus stop to phone box one considering I go past that everyday and would never think of riding it...let alone attempting it!
  22. Green to Black, like ski slopes? Where are you riding? I suppose each trail centre will grade their different routes in order and assign colours. A black trail at one centre might seem be the same difficulty as a red one at another place. Edit Links: IMBA UK IMBA
