  1. +1, sweet video! Would be cool to get more than a few riders together at once over here!

    Pavel B On A Mod

Some of those wheel swaps were sooo smooth.
  3. +1. Up to fronts were awesomely insane.
  4. +1 There is some definite skill involved. I thought a wheelie was pretty slick. But no handed with another person on your shoulders?? Insane.
  5. Adam,    Are you familiar enough with the dimensions of these tensioners that there would be enough material to machine that 12mm hole to a 15mm hole? I was leaning towards the simplicity of a spoke tensioner, as it's much easier on the college budget, but would like to get something a little neater on there.
  6. This is where I get all confused with this hub lingo... Let me lay it out straight, as I would really like to buy the tensioner off of this guy if it'll fit my sweet gold hub: The allen head bolts that are used to tighten the hub to the frame are 10mm in diameter and not hollow. The axle itself (that rides on the hub bearings) is 15mm in diameter (and is hollow to accommodate the allen head bolt). In this case the tensioner I need has an ID of 15mm with the key to fit into my vertical dropout, if it exists. Soooo, Monkey, if the tensioner in you garage has an inner diameter of 15mm, I'll buy it off of you (depending on the price of shipping to get that little thing over the pond). (pm me if so, so we don't turn this into a FS thread... )
  7. Are you guys sure this isn't the same as my hub? Looks very similar to me (but I'm new to this as well).
  8. Alright, so I've got this particular wheel to which a tensioner can't beattached. It's on a vertical dropout echo pure frame... How would I go about adding a tensioner then? I don't feel like dropping the dough for a new hub, but is that my only option?
  9. It's quite different than both, and it's splined. I have absolutely no idea how old it is...
  10. Looking to get a chain tensioner for my Echo hub, but I'm not sure how to determine if it's the TR (10mm) or the SL (12mm) version. The outer diameter of the actual axle measures about 15mm, whereas the axle bolt measures 10mm... Any help? Thanks
  11. The bikes back at home while I'm at University, since I hadn't gotten all the parts in before school started this week. As soon as I get my BB in from Trialspads, I'll head back home to snap some pics.
  12. Why, yes, it does. Seat stay looks a tad tall, but that probably because I've been on here checking out all the newer frames for the past week or so.
  13. From what I'm told it's an 06 echo pure frame... If my research does me right its 1095 wheel base and 25 BB. Stem has decent rise and length, but nothing spectacularly large. I dunno??
  14. Sorry for the newb question, but I feel like when I'm rollin' around on my trials bike I'm really hunched over. So what's a standard handlebar height for a stock bike? I'm 6'2" (1.88m) tall and ride with a decent stem rise, but no riser bars (it's what came with the bike). Would some riser bars help, or should I just throw on the big-girl panties and deal with it? Thanks.
  15. Echo Pure. She's good for beatin' up and learning.
  16. Now that's what I was looking for! The thing looks just a beefy, is half the price, and weighs less than 100 grams more than the TT sport lite. Over the whole bike that, is very little difference IMO.
  17. +1. I like Shop Guy's style. KMC's half-link setup has always worked great for me, and would recommend it.
  18. I've had a similar problem on some other bikes of mine... Chain ring was a little off, so I just figured that was what was giving me all the trouble. Finally figured out that it was my chain; a link had been bent just a tad. IMO, I'd thoroughly check the chain and ride around slowly while checking out the chain/gears to see if you can spot the problem before you throw money at it.
  19. Thanks for the info, shop guy. Not looking to spend quite that much, but we'll see how it turns out.
  20. So, TT sport lite is the way to go... Just the money is coming down to the wire with a new semester of books to throw on top of the pile of poor college student bills Absolutely not going to be getting on it as hard as Ali C would, but definitely a good person to put the BB through it's paces. Upon further research, you're right. Echo Ti is only for 24" frames with a smaller spindle length. I was basing my opinion off of CBtrials.com, but that is currently nil, as they are going out of business unfortunately. Thanks for your help, Ty
  21. I've already got the ISIS cranks, so I'm definitely going for an ISIS BB. Any reviews on the Giga Pipe DH? If the trials specific BB's are so much better, what makes them so? I'm just not sold on the trials specific BB, as I've put several MTB BB's through their paces, and they've all held up. Thanks for the opinion, Ty
  22. In need of a new BB for my echo pure, and felt it would be a good idea to get a feeler on some decently priced BB's. I've been checking out the Truvativ Giga Pipe DH, due to the cost (cheap!), but was wondering if I'd be better of spending some more money for higher quality trials parts? The Ti Echo BB didn't look too shabby either. Let me know what you think/ opinions?? Thanks, Ty Edit: specifically looking for an ISIS BB, if it makes any difference.
  23. Looks like a lot 'o dough you've got into that Simplon! DD's, man.
  24. pricepoint.com For The Win. Cheapest Avid BB7 I could find...
  25. +1. Try a water/antifreeze bath bleed first. It's easy and has work for me multiple times in the past. Ty
