Just thought I'd post a quick topic about the link I've had in my signature for a while. Me and someone I know through school have paired up and are doing business and personal websites, graphic design, illustrations etc. The site's been done pretty quick. Only about 4 hours to date but I'm putting the rest of the clients when I speak next to James. Feel free to gimme some of your opinions on the website, graphics, layout etc. And the clients. If you've got any work just go to the site and there's a contact form or email addy on it. http://www.frontalmedia.co.uk Cheers. Nick Carter Ps. Click the links for the content on the left

With my screen, a 20" Apple Cinema one, my dock's pretty small and it takes up the whole of the vertical height, it has a scroll bar vertically. That's what I was on about!

He's away or not there. Or offline. I know how to link the other text for it, but there must be some kind of different thing 'cos otherwise it'll f**k up, surely?
-
Anyone half decent at it. I need to specify two things in the url. If they click a link which is ?page=WHATEVER it loads something in the left of the page. If they click something else. I want it to include a page in another part. I don't know how! Thanks. Nick

Only 4 minutes between mine and the previous post. So nope, my post wasn't much of a bump

This isn't a joke btw. When amongst friends and the ethnic 'minority / majority' depending on where you live are around, I find refering to 'them' as lightbulbs helps. It's sly and random, but works pretty well. Ie if you dispise one they're a 120 watter Or if they're half cast they're more 60 watter. Bah. Works for me and my mates. Gives us no end of fun 'cos you can talk what you think, without getting jumped by them, their mums / cousins / friends / distant relatives.

Sorry. I have absolutely no idea, but jesus. You haven't been on here, or posted in member's chat for AGES have you? Aren't you in Italy? Car designing on a nice wage?

That's matter of opinion and what you're doing to use it for. If it's for graphic design. Websites etc, I suggest Photoshop as you can use brushes, layers and such much more easily and it's more versitile for graphics, rather than illustrations. Hence 'illustrator'. You don't really need to do that many vectors or stuff for logos, but then again it depends. You can't just sa that 'illustrator is the best for logo design'. In my opinion, Photoshop is better for logo design, maybe using stuff to print then it's illustrator. Otherwise not.

Umm. I don't really like it that much to be hones. Don't shout at me. Only my opinion. I'll justify it for anyone who would care. Firstly it has a scroll bar on it vertically. I've got a 20" screen. I feel sorry for the people with 17 or 15 inch ones! Also it took ages to load. The splatter goes off the window unless it's full screen, which I don't like very much as I have MSN, EyeTV and other windows running! Anyway. Content looks alright. I don't like it that much though. Then again, I don't like massive flash content stuff so...

Can't you get it up? Haha. I laughed out loud then. That's a rare idea. I'm gonna do it to my mate Or siders -
Haha hmph! I think notepad or whatever's okay but I still prefer dreamweaver 8. It highlights any coding errors which you could make etc. Links pages together much quicker, finds text ,if you're using split, really quick. I like it lots But yeah. Lots of professional web designers use notepad. Then again lots use Dreamweaver, and as you can guess. Like 0.0001% use Frontpage I'm guessin'? Learn how to do stuff through tutorials and asking people. Danny from here, and Simon etc have really taught and motivated me into website design and construction and I can build sites which are pretty nice, fairly fast which makes me smile. Even though I am up until 4pm talkin to Dan Why's Danny in Dublin anyway?

Same. Lol. I hate having the same b*****d opinion as Simon. He always sees topics first too First impressions were good but after I found it was a template your kudos went down a little. I'd rather you buy a template like that, and make an effort, than use a freewebs site by far! Do what Simon said. What made me look into the link at the bottom was that your typing was inconsistant, capitals on letter which didn't need them and then missing them off others. And the exclamation marks! Anyway. Sweet first impression. You've still got like +2 kudos

I hope that wasn't a proper suggestion. 100% website construction in Notepad suckkkksss! Yeah get somone who knows about html etc to do it. I said before, but you can view my work at frontalmedia.co.uk

I'm not doing PE now, I'm doing other AS levels but when I did my GCSE's last year you couldn't do trials. It's not a recognised sport by the board so it won't be allowed at all. Unfortunately.

I got something like 50-60 kb/sec on the Leeds vid but I usually get 240kb/sec from others.

Bah whatever. I talk about them as the same thing. There isn't a 'Mac' there's the iMac and shit isn't there. So unless you're wanting to talk old school then you can't relate to a 'mac' as a computer nowadays. Not really. Im not really bothered. Very little thought went into the previous post Thanks for correcting me as usual tom though.
-
You can't go on them You're not good enough.
-
Firstly. Not particularly because they had many floors, more about getting on top of each market segment again and again I think. And Apple and Mac are the same things. Apple are the brand which has been known intitially for their computers. Hence me calling the brand Apple, Mac. Does it really f**king matter? I can't believe you've gone down to saying "well you've put mac not apple ha ha". Seems a tad immature to be quite honest. You have your opinion. Go for it. I don't give a shit to be honest, but when people are aiming stuff directly at me, like "MadManMike" did the post which Mark put was totally right. Anyway I don't think Bongo gives a shit from now on, so why keep posting kids?

Yep. On my old Python 2005 I had them and they were sorted Cheap and ace build quality. Really good idea. Ps. About 99% of chain tugs won't fit the Python's CNC'd rear dropouts. So there's no point trying!

This is scary. I got loads of Macs. Lol This link -> here

Yeah stuff gets faster, especially through OsX. Jag then Panther (which was pretty good) and now tiger. I've noticed a little differene between them, but it's mainly just stuff like Spotlight and Dashboard with Tiger. Nothing special. I've got a free update disk which is copied actually from a Mac store. Works perfect, up to tiger if anyone wants it. My icons are 40x40. The biggest they go upto without somehow modding OsX and finder are 128x128. Yeah here's Word and stuff for Mac. It's alright actually. I don't really like word at all though. It changes all your f**king words and leaves you with hardly any formatting options. I do a lot of my work on Illustrator or Openoffice which is pretty good, but then again for simple stuff, that doesn't matter about it's appearance much, word's pretty good, no better than the one on PC imo though.

What f**king bubble. The screen on my iMac f**ked up. They're shit and old. I wouldn't buy one. I told him that. Simple-as. I'd buy something near 1ghz or faster to be honest. My old iMac did run OSX okay but it'd be much better if it. For f**k's sake. I don't think all Mac products are good. They make good stuff and bad stuff. Their old stuff compared to the new stuff is utterly shit to be honest. I wish people would stop being knobs and expecting me to 'bum' apple products. Most of the new stuff they're brought out is sorted. The old stuff isn't as good compared at all! Anyway. Partytime. Nick

its freewebs. wt do you expect?
-
Um no. I didn't. Obviously it wouldn't you tard. Old iMacs are f**king old. It's 233 M H Z for god's sake. For what he wants itll probably be alright. A system on OSX would be much much better for what he wants though. Especially as then it can support Airport for their wireless networking.
