Righty ho, Im gettin a Curtis 24" and I am wandering which cranks I should go for? I know middleburns are the genral consensus, BUT I have always liked the XTR cranks, they are sellign on CRC for nice and cheap, and I was wandering if you think they wil hold up? Please reply if you know facts about them, not you think, or had a mate who had a borther who had a unckle who mioght know someone who had some canks that might have looked like those once in a while, maybe, possibly, but your not sure. Theyre website has not been updated for ages, and never used to, it still says slinger is riding for them! Anyway, a Megamo tyre/plazmatic is the same tyre as a monty, I compared mine when i got them (the megamos to monty) and the part number thingy was the same apart from 1 number, and they looked exactly the same too. The tools are Cyclo tools, which are very good for the money. Ive got cycle tools at home and have never had any proplems with any of it. All of the new Bikehut range is really good stuff. Stu

I have them on my DH bike and they are beasty as fook, They have beefy as fook 3 pawl ratchet (beefier than a hope) but they have more engaments ( so there are more teeth on the ratchet, making them smaller/finer). It is 10X louder than a Hope, suggesting they have a more sold engament. I was just concered about the finer ratchet that is all. Please discuss Stu
