  1. I reckon selling or trading those middleburn/ bb combo for an ISIS modern system would be a good idea. Middleburns are quite sought after so you should have no problem selling.
  2. I won't use tar. I will never use tar. Messy and impractical goo. It'll be grand anyway, the main thing my brake lacks is hold.
  3. It's a smooth rim, would that be bitey when it's dry
  4. Seriously no bite. I don't believe there could be no bite. Less bite than a disc? It'll be on the rear, on heatsink adaptors.
  5. If I had an Sd7 lever and caliper, with a linear slick cable, and fitted with Tnn beleay pads, what would it be like compared to an 04 HS33. My frame has an inbuilt booster as well.
  6. No you didn't. And if you did, you should have said"Is this bike good for street trials, and is it too expensive?" You're just a twat, who can't ride very well, and preaches the virtues of street trials, yet can barely ride it, or pure trials for that matter.
  7. I think hes trying to say performance enhancing drugs would be found and the rider would be disqualified and banned even.
  8. No, I get where you are coming from, all I'm saying is that the HA of my frame, plus the BB height, don't lend itself to my style of riding. I see Phat Mikes vid, and I think, the bike suits him for his riding, not that is a good frame. 1100mm or other long frames allow a less vertical tap, so in theory, they do actually get up things better as you're not struggling against a loop out, and you can raise the bike from a more normal position. Also, I had a phase 1.2 and it was nice enough, just not well designed.
  9. Yeah but, when you get an odd combo of geo, like 73 HA and 1070mm wheelbase, it isn't ideal for taps, while compromising on gaps, and as for BB height, +30 is a bit too low for me personally .
  10. It's worth about 500-600 , and don't be such a wankstain about the seller, he wants what he wants for it, if you can't pay, g'wan away will you.
  11. It wasn't just Jack Carthy who did it. And if Hege finds the angle nice then fair enough
  12. you it's an original or v2, not unreal for most stuff. It'll be grand for the next while, til I get a more modern frame. I had another look at the geo and it seemed good on the newer ones
  13. My front disc, an avid juicy 7 is not working. It seems that when I pull the lever, one piston moves in a bit and stays sticking there, while the other does not move out. Every time the lever is pulled the moving piston moves in incrementally til it bends the disc. I've since removed it but don't know what is going on. Do I need a new brake?
  14. I laughed when you liked my post. But yeah, a mod is built for the rear wheel stuff anyway, so no real need for the bar angle in this vid. Good to hear you like the bars setup now though. Saw your winter training vid, looked good with the bars rolled back more.
  15. Very true, his style was awful. Mods kind of need a rolled back bar, as they need to bunnyhop and up to rear quite a lot. It suits stock because of the style of riding a stock generally does involves pedal strokes.
  16. I would go for something along the lines of a Zoo Piranha or a Neon Bow, as they're both middling in terms of BB, and not overly long wheelbase. The Zoo is stronger but the Bow is lighter, and the neons styling is nice on the eyes
  17. They are lovely frames, well built and great design, but they are fairly old school and at the price you're paying(close to 550 pounds) you're better off getting yourself a newer style of bike. I have one and it just doesn't seem to help on any moves to be honest, taps are annoying cause the HA seems to be too forward, and the wheelbase is a bit short for backwheel stuff to be great, plus the BB height makes it a strain on the shoulders/arm/chest region. If Damon was riding it, it would work, but that's because he's a monster.
  18. Edit. Found them on expressive bikes
  19. Is it trials though? Not being a dick, but is it?
  20. Is Matt running TNN proto forks?
  21. I can see why you like it, but I hope you can see why I don't.
  22. I can honestly say I saw not a lot of trials in that vid. It was mostly street DJ and BMX freestyle. I have no problem with street vids a la Sean Watson, because he moves like a trials rider and does trials to a good standard while mixing the streety moves that add a nice variety and flow. This guy's hopping looked awful, and I saw no other trials, which for a trials comp is not acceptable. He is good at what he does, just not good at trials. That's my opinion, and I stand by it. It won't be the most popular view but it's what I feel.
  23. Its most likely the frame, as BBs tend to be made to high tolerances. I won't use an epoxy or araldite, as the tape seems to be doing its job for now
