  1. It seems short sighted to leave school for trials at 15, but we'll have to see what the future holds for him
  2. I think it was a case more of lack of tension plus static loading that made it die. I always use a tool for it, cause I find punches and a lump hammer are too fiddly. Also, the pins head may be deforming when i push them through using the chain tool, causing the plates to separate. I'll try and get a pic of it, but it won't be easy.
  3. I snapped a KMC singlespeed chain in just over 2 hours today. It was brand new, with no split links. So I reset it by shortening it another link, and put it back on. it snapped in 5 minutes. The plates also appeared to seperate on the second snap. is it to do with chain tension, or was it simply not strong enough?
  4. Wasn't this originally about the exclusion of trials riding from the Olympic opening ceremony. Not about the Olympic logo. Then along came Dave
  5. Get a nice bike, do shit thats fun whenever possible, and get aggressive when riding pure trials.
  6. I didn't break anything on a trials bicycle, but on my moto trials bike. Took all the weight of an old Yamaha TYZ onto my wrist and it fractured a few of the smaller bones. Hurt like a bitch, but you get over these things. As long as you remember that whatever you had is healed, you won't ever worry, because its like nothing has happened. You'll be grand anyway, is the main point
  7. to be honest a repost wasn't necessary, nor was a bump.
  8. I'm so disappointed. Trials is such an amazing sport, and it would fit right into the olympic ceremonies. I mean trials of any level is an extremely difficult physical activity, and it should be in the olympics as a sport in its own right. And trials needs the exposure, and the UK has some of the best riders in the world, so I simply don't understand it.
  9. kind of, but its like a link inside of a regular word, example being if someone said" i prefer high bars", a word of that might be highlighted and would lead to a win an ipad scam
  10. I noticed today that there were a number of instances where highlighted words linked to these surveys for a free iPad and such , has anyone else noticed this aswell?
  11. Obviously I was incorrect about the quote, but still thats not the main issue here.
  12. Quote: Awhhhh dont cry now son! You seemed to be fine to write 'Yeah' fine there. Also the 'Quote' button is there for a reason... Yeah has many ways it can be written, and the Quote button on mobile does f**k all.
  13. You the what what the what would the what? Whenever I write yeah the forum converts it to you. And if you employed some reasoning which you seem incapable of doing, you'd understand what I was trying to say. But what can I expect from man who has the troll face as his profile pic.
  14. I feel sorry for members on here who work/represent for trials shops when they see threads relating to something that can be resolved simply through them and not on a forum. ( It is as if they are trying to give them a bad reputation in a way) Ok its only a £5 bottle but still you have just got to remember there is a returns policy for most online shops if you do occur with any faults or problems. you but what would come of a £5 claim, its just a lot of hassle for not much return. I'd understand if they weren't acknowledging a Hope hub or brake, but this just ridiculous.
  15. Surely you expect something you've just bought to do the job its intended for though you but if I've spent €5 for a bottle & then shipping, then I think I deserve to it to break. I mean can you really be that anal about what you drink from?
  16. Might I remind you that it's a water bottle, and if Tarty aren't dealing with it, I don't blame them.
  17. It all in the body, the bike is simply a conduit. Explosive movements are the key. Use your hips so your body weight is thrown first then throw the bike in front to absorb the impact.
  18. I'd go with the platforms, because the grip is very good, and if you're buying £100+ pedals you want strength, which platforms are good for.
  19. Pure Trials, but it's nice to be able to do a few rolling tricks, just for the craic
  20. Which one would you choose, as a build from Tarty. No new parts the exact Tarty Spec
  21. I do like the Stock, and see myself ultimately being on a stock, but I want to buy a full spec stock knowing i could use it to it's full potential, which is where the mod comes in, as a training tool. Oh and your english is good
  22. After the summer I should be getting a new bike. And as I have a stock(mad phase ) the natural thing to do would be to get a better stock. But would a mod make progression easier. I have a decent grasp of the basics, but going big is what I want. Any advice?
  23. Why not use Gold on the Ceiling by the Black Keys. Always thought it would work well in a trials vid
  24. Nope meaning you will be tall enough or nope, as in you're too short
  25. I'm considering going towards a very comp style frame, a Rockman Slate Xl style geo, and being between 5"11 and 6" foot tall I was wondering would i be too short. I'd like to use a mod stem aswell, just to be clear. Thanks
