  1. yay finally.... edit: woopsy, no Y on the fluff, almost though!
  2. is it me? or do those pictures show BOTH a stock and a mod bike? have you got 2 trials bikes in one room? (i swear that first pic looks 26", and the bike on the desk is obviously a mod) and now you want to bring your DH rig in too? i wanna go to uni, but i would have to take at least 3bikes with me!! this topic has just made me rearlise, that now i have a problem! lol which uni are you at? Is there any unis that allow bikes within rooms / halls ?? (Y)
  3. huh? you got radial spokes + disc!? That wont last long will it, i didnt think radial was strong enough for a disc brake!? :ermm: edit: apart from that, i must say it looks rather nice!
  4. dont some wheels now have carbon spokes? like the "spinergy" wheelsets, maybe "mavic"? Doubt theres 20" versions though!? :P
  5. i quite like 7, 8 and 12. but all of them are very nice! which program(s) do you use for these? do you use photoshop / dreamweaver?
  6. hmmm SPD (special pedaling device) for trials? i dont think so. It'll act like glue between your feet and bike, but i think its too dangerous for trials!! WARNING: to unclip, you have to swivle (sp?) or turn your foot away from the bike. This takes a lot of practise! and if you need to bail in an emergancy you cant!! Also, it means the ball(just behind your toes) of your foot will be on the pedal, fixed, with no choice! so you wont be able to put the pedal under the centre of your foot like i have seen some riders do! i would NOT recommend it for trials XC DH 4X Road etc, yes, Trials NO! (i use them for xc and road, so i know what a pain it is to unclip (and embarrasing!) in an emergency, and thats with 2yrs of practise!!)
  7. What gloves do you wear?Gill XC full finger gloves What's good about them? The best bit is probly the big smooth patch on the outside of the thumb, great for wiping your nose when your a bit snotty!! Would you recomend these gloves over others which you have tried in the past? Yes definatley!! very good, i brought them initially for XC riding, but quickly rearlised they're very good for trials!! i now have 3pairs!, and they are all still intackt (sp?) One pair has lasted almost a year!! (and i ride a hell of a lot!) How much were they? £15 without VAT :ermm: Where did you get them from? CRC
  8. how the hell do they not hurt they're manhood!!?? what the hell? That is very skilled!! :)
  9. cheers for the comment chaps. About the suspension thing, inititally i kepty swapping from these to rigids, and back again, and again, and agian, untill eventually i got fed up with moving the maggura, i just rode so much with the suspension i grew to love it. i have found..... Front bumps = easier, the forks take the impact of a hard bump, yet you still get sprung up there! Bunny hops / manuals = easier to get the front end up, and it also means, speedy streety landings can be back wheel first and not hurt! In the end, i have not noticed any lack in performance, (i.e. hieght i can back wheel), i can still do everything i could, and more! I'm now starting to ride ramp more, and am thinking of a higher gear for better streetness. sorry about the essay..... but i'd highly recommend people try suspension for trials (for longer than 2mins, because it does take a few hours worth to get used to!!) :(
  10. ok little later than my "i'll photo it tomorrow comment" but here she is hope you like, i'd highly advise you wack some susypension on yours!! :- :("
  11. heres my beast.... i would put it in the bike pics gallery, but i felt that a ) nobody looks in there b ) i wont hear people's opinion c ) nobody else does! so anyway.... What do you all think?? bit different since i last showed it, just resprayed and re-decalled the forks and frame. Nice matching wheels now, king on the back too! heres the spec roughly giant team trials 02 (#448) 80mm bombers i think roughly 1999/00 with new 04 stickers. middleburn rs 8 cranks, filthy ard guard shimano tiagra cassette, deralier, sachs chain Rear DX brake, plaz pads, front maggie rear king, 36mm? drilled try all rim, front echo disc hub, 28mm drilled rim, both with YELLOW rim tape... raceface bar /stem WTB xc headset any critisism welcome....

  13. thats not moss, its super super glue!!! (Y) impressive skills there, but i thought it dragged on slightly too long, it all looked too simular, but i spose its cos its all in one place....... well done anyhoo (Y)

  15. ok so what if i delete internet explorer?? what will happen then? :turned:
  16. already ticked! does nobody know!? :ermm:
  17. ok, when i sign into msn, i often get a little annoying box appear suggesting i have a few new emails, but no matter how many things i have tried, when i click it, it will ALWAYS open in internet shitty explorer!! Same happens when i hit the 'inbox' button in msn! basically, how do i change the default msn browser to firefox? i use firefox for everything else, and its the default of xp, but not msn!! cheers people andy
  18. oh my god! how can he spin soo much?? and so often!! that has inspired me to try and learn how to spin! (Y) loving that stoppy drop around the circular wall! that was sweet! cheers
  19. i've put 80mm bomber forks on my giant team trials frame.... to make it more streety/jumpy! i think larger forks wouldnt reck the head angle either, it fells nice with my longer forks anyway.... As for the bigger chainring, i'd say 32th max. i've gotta 38 on my dh bike, and its plenty for that, too much for street in my opinion! rims...... 521s would be ideal, light, not too wide, f-in strong etc... tyres...... tioga dh jobbies will do the trick..... 2.3s probly bars/stem. For mine i'm running about 90mm 15% ride raceface thangs with matching bars.... i think these are ok for street, but ideally i reckon a shorter stem would match bigger forks... heres a pic of my beast as it was a while back, just to illustrate the bars etc. but i'm currently in the process of repainting the frame, and i dont have a modern pic incl. sussy forks: - gimme a couple of days to finish painting etc and i'll post a brand spanking new pic just for you...... (Y) hope i've helped edit: you can just see my bombers inthe background of the above pic.....
