  1. The 24" trial frame looks so nice, i would love that frame with white rims and hubs. Not to keen on not been able to remove ECHO logo though.
  2. Just not my type of music What bike are you thinking of getting after the 20", seen as you said it may be your laston the 20"
  3. Great vid, but horrible music choice
  4. Sounds like a great rim, i might stick with the viz now, but i am still curious of the because rim.
  5. How is the braking performance of the rim? Are you a smooth rider because i am not sure on the strength of this rim? I recommend the rockman forged 150x30 stem with maybe a few stackers, i'm using that at the moment with try all carbon bars and it's brilliant.
  6. Are you riding the rim with a grind and what pads are you using. Also how are you getting on with the 24"
  7. What is the because rear rim like compared to the echo tr. I need some opinions on it or i am going for the echo.
  8. I also switched from a mod to an echo 24", it was the best decision i have made and my riding has improved rapidly, i hope you also will enjoy it. When i first got my echo i rode it with the tarty stem and try all carbons, it felt like i was streching to much and it wasn't working out. I then got a rockman 150x30 and used it with the try all carbons, it feels a lot nicer for everything .
  9. I should of said, i want a pure trials rim. Can anyone else recommend me a hub.
  10. Loosen both tensioners completly then tighten the right and left tensioners evenly until your chain is tight. Then concentrate on getting your wheel perfectly straight by tightening either the right or left tensioner slowly. If this dosen't work i usually throw my bike at the wall in frustration
  11. What are the because rear 24" rims like compared to the echo tr? They are a bit wider but i cant see them holding a grind as well as the echo.
  12. As the title above says, what rear rim for my 24" echo should i get. I don't mind how expensive it is. The rim has to be light, but i also want it to hold a grind well. I was looking at the viz singlewalled rim but have heard that they don't hold a grind well, is this correct ? I was also thinking about the because rear rim, but haven't heard anyone using it on here. I am also looking to get a rear non disc hub to build the wheel onto, what hub do you recommend (also has to be light but strong) ? If you could give me your views on different rims and hubs that would be great. Thanks
  13. I moved around my levers and handlebars and I put a 150 by 30 stem on this seems to have solved my injury problem. Thanks everyone for the info.
  14. I was riding a mod before, it probably is just getting used to it that helps, thanks
  15. Hi i have recently picked up a shoulder injury since riding my new 24" echo trial. I'm around 5ft 10. I am using a stem with 165 by 35 rise, i was just wondering if this long stem with high rise is the cause of my injury due to stretching. I was thinking about getting a stem with 150 by 30 rise maybe with some spacers, is this a good plan ? It might just be a one off injury but i never had this problem with other smaller stems. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know what you did to solve it because i want to get back out on my bike. Thanks
  16. Get on to tartybikes and check out the new onza bikes. Heres one the onza genesis 20" :
  17. Yep the oven technique is much easier, just don't be an idiot like me and pick up the metal backing that you have just taken out of the oven and get a nasty burn.
  18. Hi i was just wondering who is everyones favourite trials rider ? You can give a reason or video or you can simply just give me the name of them. It would be great to see some popular riders names and even better if you could get some not so well known riders. I will start, at the moment my favourite rider to watch is Borisevich Pavel from Russia. He is very short but shows some great power in his moves and when he falls off he gets straight back up. I also like to watch his videos because he also has the same frame as me. Here is a video of him in action:
  19. The colour of the frame is very nice, but in my opinion black forks and a silver stem would have looked nicer
  20. I will do. I'm not sure i will have a look thanks.
  21. Hi as the title above says i was wondering if you can buy the cage part of the (Try all cage elite pedals) seperately. If you can does anyone have any for sale or where can i buy them from. I have checked tartybikes and they don't sell them. Thanks Clarke
  22. Well my Dad 47 years old had a shot of my bike yesterday, i was trying to teach him the basics e.g. lifting the front up and kicking. My dad took it differently and in a few minutes was trying to fling the bike about randomly thinking he was danny mackaskill before overdoing a wheely and landing flat on his arse on the concrete. But no this has not put him off this morning before a i got out of my bed i could here the breaks squeking away.
  23. This topic is helpful for riders to show others their improvements and to recognise themselves how much they are getting better. Members who are learning will read others improvements/successes and this will give them confidence and belief that they can do the same. Others might take it as a challenge and try to do one better than another member e.g. sidehop an inch higher. It's also good to see new riders sticking with the sport even if it is hopping up a couple of pallets, instead of giving up altogether
  24. If anyone gives you opinions of a trials helmet that is thin enough (low profile) to fit under a hat don't take TRIALS FORUM responsible for any of your serious head injuries.
