  4. Aye dont wanna grease it, cassette will then be silent
  5. So finally stripped my hub.. It appears the springs are made from chocolate, new spring and pawl kit ordered, primo ones at that.. £7.99 bargain.. Also sent in a new 12t sprocket for the rear that comes with a spacer and new nut.. New chain for good measure also.. Should cure the problem nicely i hope
  6. it does look rather like the profile mini hub tbf.. Your diagnostics would make perfect sense, i did a backhop and it was fine, went to do another backhop and it just started slipping, so hopefully it is just the springs or something simple, hope so because it seems a decent hub to be honest.. Thanks dude
  7. Hi people, my freewheel decided to start slipping the other day, it still bites under half load, but full load it slips :/ also i am unsure of where to source parts from as im not sure which hub it actually is, all i know is that it is profile and the sprocket is splined onto the hub, so the freewheel mech must be inside the hub. I can get pictures of it but my gash windows phone will not let me post them on here so it would be email only :/ Any help or advice etc would be cosmic please, thanks
  8. A few of us are having a pedal today, feel free to join!!
  9. I commute at around 30psi untill i get to desired location.. Depending what im riding i then let my tyres down.. Then when i head off home i re adjust the pressure back to 30psi.. Morale of the story - carry a small handpump in your bag
  10. They tried to sell me a seat :/
  11. Yeah the links are really stiff, free'd them up twice but still goes back to having 1 or 2 stiff links... Yeah somebody told me i have to replace the freewheel aswell as the chain :/
  12. Hey guys, need to purchase a new freewheel as my chain is pretty stiff, been told i cant just replace the chain (is this true..?) so looking at buying a new chain and freewheel... Anybody recommend one at a reasonable price that is nice and loud...? Thanks
  13. Not sure on the grips, ripped them off some bike i had kicking about... Long necks are okay, had them on my fit, bit of blistering going on with them sometimes though...
  14. Just been for a late night ride, went at half 1 and just got home... Body clock is messed atm, seem to be sleeping all day and up all night lol!!
  15. I have no idea, think im unfortunate and just sweat alot, adrenaline and pressure maybe lol
  16. Okay so unsure if this has been posted already bur seen as im a huge music fan and it seems to help with my riding etc then i thought a thread would be good... so lets chuck in influential riding songs/genres and also any recommended songs/favourites/links etc... I use soundcloud alot, most of my favourites are on there -pretty random selection by the way! I mainly listen to liquid drum & bass, none of this commercial overplayed crap lol! Like people like netsky, high contrast, nu:logic, london elektricity, bcee, modu, blu mar ten etc, i also work in an indie rock bar so pretty partial to alot of indie bands, mainly the pigeon detectives, cast and the twang, joy division, madness, courteneers etc For anybody interested here is a link to my soundcloud (which should hopefully work lol) http://m.soundcloud.com/little-dubber/favorites
  17. gloves.. I have had nothing but problems with hands slipping off grips due to sweat -and we are only in march, dread to think what a hot summers day would be like!
  18. i previously rode street bmx for a few years and i could sit my fit on the back wheel pretty much forever lol... Get on my onza and the front end seems to be way too light for manuals, as weird as it sounds im contemplating making my front end heavier as im struggling with it being so light -even with backhops, dont get me wrong i can do them but 6 times out of 10 im straigjt off the back due to it being so light.. Almost like preparing to pick up a heavy box but then nearly chucking it over your shoulders because there is nowt in there.. Horrible feeling!
  19. little update... gave her some love after my rear tyre problem, so running a high roller on front now and bing sorted me with a new rear tyre (cheers dude) plus a bashguard which i havent put on yet... new rear brake aswell as the lever popped on my old mag... have a matching brake for front but going to wait for that to pop first all ready for summer, happy days
  20. Tempted to jump on train but the weather will just end up doyling us over i bet :/
  21. Being a windows phone user alot of regular apps are not available in tbe marketplace... So if its windows friendly i will indefinitely use it typo.. *the Sorry lol
  22. Bike is off the ground when i pump up the tyre... Think im going to try a new back wheel when i get some cash to be honest
  23. The old style black stuff dries pretty hard, worked in a few garages and used it on stretched car tyres to help stop them popping off, also on a few motorbike tyres.. Is a long shot with a pushbike tyre but surely will have nothing to lose :/
