  1. nice riding, makes me want a genisis
  2. yea sounds like the bit of the crank that goes onto the bb is getting worn out
  3. yea me too, i just enjoy trying to push myself.
  4. you wouldnt need a new frame for the domains, just a new 1.5 headset, the domains might have too much travel for your frame though as there 180mm and you frame is 130mm recommended..what kind of bike is it? id agree with dez, get your forks serviced, marzocchis go forever if you get them services every so often, there pretty simple to work at too, theres plenty of demo on youtube if you fancy having a go at it yourself
  5. ohh well, we know the truth and we know how we are progressing and thats all that really matters
  6. some insurance companies will do that but a lot wont as insurance is made to put you in the same positin you wer in before the claim and sending out money doesn't guarantee that, some will give vouchers for a specific shop to the value of the bike...
  7. im on the same boat, ive rid dh for years and dabbled in a bit of street I owned a t-bird for about 2 months when I was 12 but only rode it a few times as no one else done trials anywhere near me so didn't see the point in keeping at it, I bought a trials bike about 3 weeks ago and posted a vid of my riding at the weekend but no one really seems to believe how fast ive progressed in 3 weeks. coming from any sort of tech riding background does really help a lot when it comes to trials, im sure it would be the same for someone who rode trials for years stepping over to dh, it would more than likely give them an upper hand to someone who only cycles their bike to the shop for a pint of milk.
  8. was possibly me who said that?
  9. hi, I work in insurance. you could try and push for the higher spec, explain to them about the difference in components on each bike compared to the one that was stolen. its worth a try, all they can say is no..
  10. I would say its a fair enough price if its in a good condition. as regards things to look out for, just the usual, check the gears, breaks and check round the fork seals for any leaks. check the welds round the bb and head tube for any cracks aswell. that shouldn't really be much of an issue on an xc bike, unless the guy was really sore on it.
  11. sweet riding, especially after 2 weeks
  12. i seriously doubt it. ill try and get a few more vids this week, see if you all think the same then. i thought this sorta stuff was pretty normal trials stuff...
  13. yea, well it was my first time trying to get over something. i have obviously been assing about in my yard trying to get my back wheel onto kerbs and bouncing about on the back wheel but nothing like in the video. was 100% my first try at it, just went for it and somehow i managed it. lets just put it down to beginners luck??
  14. this is my first ever attempt at trying to get over anything, after about an hour i was able to just straight to the top its nothing special but i was pleaed as its more or less my first day on a trials bike. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=581398958550955&l=3425326071839636885
