  1. oh thats pretty... :$ i just re watched the inspired vid and realised the steel 24 has got a seat and i duno how i thought that seatless mod was a 24... hmmm
  2. was a 18 front to 12 rear which was perfect for me if a litle stiff for 90/% on here... as you can see in the pic the chain was just too loose with out tensioner, so i tried a few things half links and tensioners, But couldn't get a tensioner running right and half link still didnt fix it for god knows what reason. So i opted to try playing with ratio's. I found with a 13T rear and half link makes for a over tight chain that i could just get in drop outs with bit of effort and care. Chain should hopefully if I'm careful for a week stretch to be a perfect fit near as dam it... Though im not a fan of the ratio idk...
  3. dont do seat less... id ride a seatless mod maybe but i thought they where for kids when i was 17 now ten years on after years of BMX i could dig a mod but anything bigger needs a seat, i know how many times my seat hits my nuts sod that being a tube... f*** carbon... how many times Ti is better, but i'm not about to pay for a Ti frame.... yeah i had thought that that way ive had a idea about a drop out mod thats simple as hell to do and would basically be a steel block to lock onto rails... its not like i sold my bmx i wouldnt be going out with the intention of riding a rail session on a 24 but if i was miles away from home one bike never gone see the rail again and it was like the perfect rail, hell yh...
  4. all my mates who ride these days ride 26" dirt or trail fr/dh bikes or bmx... main reason i put trials to one side was more mates did everything else... if it was a dirt frame you np pretty much any thing turns up at lymo trails but trials n street bike... not so much...
  5. yh ive thought about it but i came to the conclusion if i dont know what i want geo wise how will they...
  6. i think i could probably snap the chainstays on a zoot on purpose from the research i done over the last few days and the shear number of reports of failed chainstay yokes around... i dont want a frame im scared to try something on... i think a couple of long pegless double pegs (chain stay grinds) and a zoot would be done for... what about the king of dunce, belaey and the Triboulat bro's are obviously riding em, the geo looks ok considering all i have to go on is my knowledge of what i like in bmx and 26er as far a geo go's its a bit guess work but merrrr anyone got anything bad to say about the dunces??? oh what is short for 24"er chain stays? like slammed with a 2.3 how long would chain stay length be? oh and how much are Because street frames? if you can get them? i couldn't find a price around? what are they like if you can get them?
  7. so far i like Ozonys King Of Dunce Inspired Element inspired fourplay. what are the differences between the fourplay and element 24? anyone got experiance with a king of dance? ive pretty much ruled out a zoot now i think...
  8. so i ended up having a think and as i need a new stem for bmx and i found some really cheap 3" rise renthal bars that are 22.2mm im going to get a stem i want for the bmx and then try it on the zero if i like it with the renthal ill get a second for the fit.... any way was in the woods so thought i would get another snap of her... chains stretching in now so time to maybe add couple links and tension it, oh fun jobs for tomorrow at work...
  9. all three are sick my mate had that planet x frame a few years back...
  10. lol i might not have ridden in a while but i diddnt take a bang on the head i am well aware of the options for setting up hs33's to work officiant, i really would rather run disks... im leading towards bb7's still mainly cos cable tension is much less hassle than bleeding brakes idk... maybe its out of laze, but i can ride brakeless to some extent and know i cud get better i just like using the zero to commute to and thats where the need ffor brakes comes in, also seem to find myself taking my street 26er to more and more of my old skool natural spots and then brakes are handy... moss seems to beat me every time brakeless...
  11. megamo... 2year old vid...
  12. if its structual my couch engineering knowledge would lead towards Ti for brace and carbon for bash as you said it wrap locking on and even the potential to brake under ridiculous loads would be an advantage for the frame for sure for the bash guard... and Ti does weld to anything very well and tend to make weak joints if i remember correct...
  13. I like the concepot yes in theory but idk... surely though in a ideal world carbon is not the answer... its very weave dependant on directions of strength and you are probably going to have little idea of the materials flaws and subsequently manufactures are going to have little understanding of the real world application of a trials bike and the stresses applied to it... even if you spent thousands it would be pouring money down the drain imho. why is it always carbon... surely Ti is a much better material.... in a ideal world surely a skeletonised Ti frame is way to go for strength rigidity and weight is it not? and you could design and have fabricated a sick Ti brace for less than a CF one. idk im not a structural engineer but just sharing my 2pence...
  14. FuFanu!!!!! or tail tap (abubaca) / rear bonk .... to be exact pmsl brakeless fufanu's take time a bollocks of steel for two reasons. I'm never still on a big gap - fuf' or air - fuf'. its like you just kinda dip in to absorb the pressure slower than you normally would and hit what ever you tap lighter so u can over dip then pop up and off at the last sec before you loose balance... i should never be a teacher....
  15. carbon moulds and dense foam from memory most the cost is in mould manufacture... you certainly don't need a garage to make a cf mould out of foam, basic tools, sand paper and effort and your sorted.... \ am i also missing the point completely of what this piece of carbon is supposed to do other than be a piece of carbon on a bike?
  16. dont want to run rims i have x2 sets of hs33's but dont want to take paint off or grind the rims....
  17. hmm all linear cables seem to be around 1.5m? do odyssey or anyone make 1.8m+ lengths? think the longest i found so far is 165mm.... i'll have another look or ring around tomorrow... but ta for the advice...
  18. feel that pain... im in same boat with a couple of builds... it needs neat pink tape to set it off... (A) it looks lovely though liking the matte black...
  19. oh seen i just found them in a pile of giant and club roast bars at bottom of the shed its been so long since i put them there that kinda rings a bell now you say it, but its been years... lol thanks! and i know what your saying i just like the sharpe angles of dark angels... i'm tempted to try 35x0 or 50x0 and 3" rise b's cos its horrific on wall rides and barspins with the 100x10. too long with short fr/dh and bmx front ends has done me the world of bad i think...
  20. taking weight out of the equation and bearing in mind i hate dealing with hydraulics ever and have a wack budget and dont really want to run brakes do i: A. buy a new set of avid bb7's B. run a set of avid elixir cr's i can get cheap. Stopping power and modulation being primary concern's which would you run?? i have zero experience with either... or do i save probably for ever hopes? cheers yall...
  21. lol it's a lot better hope having there logo on a inspired than a actual bike manufacturer kitting out a team rider with a repainted frame from another brand... (mongoose, gt.....) personally im digging green a lot atm so it gets my vote
  22. thanks guys... Proper searching everywhere for someone selling some 24seven dark angel bars, ideally in white though i happily take a black pair... probably am going to bite the bullet and deal with brakes too... turns out skid stops aint the one in traffic on way to work...
  23. Hey People... Im Nate, I'm from Southampton. ive been riding since i was about 11, i ride bmx, dh/freeride and dirt though really I'm coming back to trials after a few year absence for various reasons... Am really looking to get a 24"er street bike soon but until then i have a couple of old school toys to play with... http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/183034-back-to-the-oldschool/
  24. for now this is what i ride... Orange Zero frame set. Onza headset. DMR deevee wheelset. (rear running ss 12T) Middleburn RS7's - 18t + bash, orange standard seat. rubbish bars. rubish stem. to do list: New stem + Bars new seat and post maybe brakes.....
