Spending 20 minutes to fix is not worth it? I rode this tire patched by chineese tube patch for 3 hours today and nothing wrong happened except of a little 4mm hernia, but this is because of chineese patch that are too elastic and soft. So ordering new tire, waiting for week or more till it delivered is better? In addition to fact this tire is almost new condition that makes decision of throwing it in the bin pretty irrational.

Pretty interesting thoughts, thanks. In FR using front brake are pretty dangerous without huge 200mm susp. fork. so 90% of time I use rear brake and when doing street-trials front brake are almost irrelevant too.

It's a good idea but having two identical bikes is pretty strange, although it would be really interesting to see opinions on how much brakeless bike must weight from some skilled riders. Because 10.4 kg seems too light for me. The main problem is that I love both types of riding. Brakeless trials is way more enjoyable for me (but some spots are better to ride with brakes), but freeride is pretty impossible without brakes, especially at DH track.

I've started to ride brakeless after 8 months since I've started to ride trials. I found brakeless riding very fun and challenging and the main reason I decided to take off my brakes was decreasing joy of riding day by day. TGS is freakin' boring. I was totally brakeless for 1 year and 2 months. Then I've tried to set some brakes on my Element but I don't liked it so they lasted on my bike for 2 weeks or so. But something wrong happened to me, I do not like riding brakeless no more(?). Maybe this is just some frustration because of: 1) less comfort on CRAZY MUf**kA riding streets of my city scaring pedestrians and doing some big dropgaps, drops from stairs and stuff. Saying that in more adequate manner - it's not so comfy to ride urban FR. Yes I ride urban(and not only urban, local DH track is fine too) FR on my Inspired. 22-12 and let's rock! Less comfort + more fear and danger. 2) This was only 1 ride and: a) I forgot how to ride brakeless (need to remember some things). Bike from 11960g. became 10400g. I don't really like it. Bike became less inert and I need to get used to new weight. So, dear brakeless experts, advise something useful please, tell about your "phases" of "brakewith" and brakeless riding, Maybe some people switch periodically? Maybe I'll need to ride with brakes for some time and don't care about it or maybe I need to force myself for a week or two of brakeless riding to flow into it again? Brakeless FТW!

Well, then I see no reason to sell a set of great brakes for a penny. I have had some hope mono minies, they was worse than BB5 so I sold them. My front BB7 feels like hydro (because of short cable without too much bends I guess), rear feels a bit worse but still pretty sharp. Linear cable does its job. One more question: Does it make sense to oil cables?

BB7 can't be bad in terms of hold and bite. >didn't let it bed in This is a reason. The only cons I see is not hydro level modulation + if you want to do some triple tailwhips you can't do that without gyrorotor.

Condition is almost new(picture of front brake for example): And now I can't sell it even for 67 GBP for a whole set! Every single .... tells me that they cost 50 GBP maximum for whole set! BB7 really costs a penny or what? ___________________________________ The second thing to discuss: Why are everyone hates mech brakes? Everywhere you look is hydro. They prefer even shitty tektro that leaks like a ... and other cheapest hydro "brakes" that even "cannot into braking" to top level mechanics. Even in trials and street-trials there are only few riders who use mech brakes. I've used BB7 (old and new type) for a year on 3 of my bikes and I can't say nothing bad about them. They are awesome, powerful and reliable as hell. Modulation? Yes it's a bit worse but no more than that. Set and forget for years.
