  1. I have to go to a christening today, but if your about next week gimme a shout here. Heads up though, I don't ride trials too well ...

    ( but i do have a nice bike  :) )

why would I care how good you are? :P I hate riding on my own, be awesome to be able to cruise around with someone, as all the usual trials guys I ride with seem to have lots going on :( I'll be about next weekend for sure :)

  2. Such a nice bike, held back by those horrible jubilee clips. There must be something cleaner than those?

if I had magura mounts, maybe... They're pretty darn sturdy so Im not really bothered by it, open to suggestions though.

  3. Massive change-around of parts, barely any left of the original.

biggest change is my new pro2, which Alex Dark modified (135 to 110mm) the latest 40t version, and I'm super impressed with the work. So-

    Onza limey 320 "Ysäyu"

    trialtech grips

    trialtech bars

    trialtech stem

    trialtech forks

    trialtech booster

    trialtech cranks

    trialtech sprocket

    trialtech bashring

Tryall 20" circle hole front and back

    tryall shindiggers

Animal MTT tyres- super inpressed with these too so far!

    Tryall H front hub

hope pro2 Evo 40t rear hub

    black on black spokes/nipples

    gusset double six rear sprocket

got some FSA in there aswell

    its super super twitchy :P

  5. The shop I work at is a shop that's been around for a very long time, we're more... Traditional? when we true a wheel, we true a wheel. We have some trials stuff in store as well- found 60 pairs of carbon bars in a box in our warehouse :P whereas the super modern shop on the other side of town can't do jack shit, the amount of bad reviews is unreal. I guess there's some good and bad.

  6. I have no bike for two weeks.

The reason doesn't matter, what matters is I'm killing myself

I never realised this, as I've always had a working bike bar maybe a few days.

But- it's like getting off a drug you're addicted to. I'm going crazy, I'm hitting walls and kicking things. I'm in physical pain from not being able to go out and ride. Didn't know how addicted I actually am to it, now I do!

I need something to take my mind away from it. Nothing is helping, I can't be the first person who's had this happen.

Any suggestions what i should do?

  7. It didn't pull me away from it, but it did replace it. I was into both at the same time for a while - probably around 18 months or so - but then I just lost interest for various reasons and stopped.

The second question is a little delicate and I'm not really willing to go into it so publicly.

I watched those free-running videos a while back, do you think that's how your well known ability to "bail" "jump off" came from? The reaction times involved in parkour could've quite easily transferred across
  8. Gosh. That's quite some reception! Thanks :DA lot of the time, it's when I've filmed something whilst riding alone so I'm just setting it as close as possible to see the line better, but several of them were when it became a stylistic choice after filming alone a bit and liking the effect.I'll bear this in mind for the future.Cheers!

I personally like the "bike shot" angles, you get a better idea of what's going on with the bike, and how everything works. Just my 20p though.
  9. Press-fit until I die.

Used to have lots of trouble with bearings dying in threaded BBs, but have had significantly less with press-fit.

Never had a creaky one either, though maybe that's just less of an issue for trials riding...

Sure, it's technically two tools, but removing and fitting a press-fit with a hammer and bearing press (Echo tool style) makes a two-minute job of those too.

In my mind, the less parts a bike has the better. Especially if that also means less threads.

Press-fit BBs, integrated headsets, integrated tensioners (Echo style) and the like are all good things, I reckon.

Through axles will also sit in that category when they use a separate threaded component (external nut or something) on one side. Threading frames/forks seems like a step backwards :P

    i agree with this completely.
