    Ahh thank you!

I also like the diagram. I'll try that now.

I've done it a couple times, when I do it means that every two spokes on the rim are loose/stick out, next two are tight, next two stick out etc... Fairly easy fix though.

  2. There were loads more taken on other people cameras, hopefully I can get them to be put here. One of the best riding days I've had!

    in order:

me doing an up manual, courts, guild hall, @Alex Dark doing a sidehop, Jordan eyeing up a drop with Ross holding the wall up, @ogre showing off his sidehop arms, Euan doing the drop, Kyle posing, and then pogo looking hungry.

    RIP DJ!

What rim and how fresh is the grind?

I've found with heatsinks in the past that they're not super amazing on things like Trialtech rims and need regular grinds whereas with echo rims they seem to bed with the grind and work brilliantly.

this ^ a medium grind is good. also, be wise to invest in a linear slick cable. they worked wonders on how easy it was to pull the lever with my vee setup.

it does him no favours when it comes to some other stuff though, he struggles to spin out of wallrides as he does them oppo (if I remember correctly) and he often uses a pedal crank to spin rather than just a hop.

ill agree with that- if i were to spin with no bitch crank the "normal" way, i pivot around my back foot, which is closer to the rear axle, and thus spins easy. no bitch crank the "wrong" (but right for me) way, and its more difficult. in short lines i dont have enough time to pull it all the way around, but a small bitch and it brings it together. i can non bitch- its just more effort and more likely to go wrong. i do like being able to bunnyhop sidehop though.

plus, its not something i can change.

    That does kinda make sense.

I'm all over the place when it comes to spinning. When i snowboard, my natural spinning direction is to the right, but I'm much more comfortable doing grabs that twist to the left. On a skateboard, i can 180 to the left much better than i can in my natural direction.

I'm one of the few goofy footed riders, I guess it comes in handy as I Bunnyhop tuck the same side as I sidehop, which is nice for consistency.

  6.

I said some instances. :D but seriously. This is pretty good for only 3 years of riding. Have you been riding BMX before?

Haha :P nope, I learnt how to do everything on a trials bike. I could barely ride a normal bike before I started.

That last drop to manual line at Salford Quays was really cool - drops to manual can do one...

Thanks all :D I was happy with that drop manual- but going from that manual up to manual across the pad was the more difficult thing. It felt so wrong.

having no forks is a problem.

Luckily, Matt gave me a set and even though they have no stack at all it means I could ride. I'm really happy with this.

    Brakeless is fun.

    cheers, pög

Are you running a mod stem? Might explain why things feel really strange..

i am, but i always have. 150x30 :P more feels strange becuase im used to 165 cranks... my feet feel really far apart length ways, haha.

  10. Having not ridden with brakes for quite a long time, I decided to go and make a video, as the mod is out of comission for a bit. Big bikes feel strange.

Filmed in in a couple of hours, powered by pink lemonade! Switched to Vimeo as YouTube blocked the song, bastards.

  11. I have an unfortunate issue with a mental block, I have a photo somewhere of me doing a sidehop about 1 potato over my rolled back bars brakeless, and being 6 inches above the wall in the air. But I had a bunch of crashes Landing really hard on my back or side on the wall and now if I go for Anything above top cap, I get a cold feeling in my chest and put a leg Down before I jump. And when I do a top cap sidehop I barely preload or tuck because I can go sooo much higher. :( my standing vertical jump (2 feet on the ground to 2 feet on whatever it is I'm jumpin on) is 110cm.
