If you do switch over to Water/Anti-freeze then be sure to flush out the system thoroughly before bleeding it. You can also blast it through with a pump aswell.
Personally I use water and anti-freeze and it works great.

Remove the wheel from the bike and give the axle a tap with a mallet, it'll push the opposite bearing out. The axle will then pull out.
If the axle is feeling rough its probably because the bearings need replacing. There isn't much to service as such, because there is only an axle and two bearing in the hub shell.

I'd say the tread pattern is pretty much spot on anyway. So I wouldn't cut any nobbles off.

Yeah, its pretty decent, but Red Scar has changed a fair bit now. They clumped a lot of the rocks together now, which has made some new stuff, but I think there is less rocks overall. The enough stuff for a good hour or two though.
Birchwood is good, but you need to be wary of security. I would park well out the way too.

Comedy bail and an awesome blog
Good memories from that trip!

^^^Don't listen to him Ben he's a paedo and just wants to touch you in the back of his car. He's done it before and he will do it again!
Nice little vid by the way. It really made me want to go out on my trials bike and I haven't had that feeling for a while.
You didn't complain though did you?
-
Nice one Ben. Enjoyed that!
Loving the composure and technique. Lovely to watch
I'm not sure if I've ridden with you, but it'd be cool to sort a ride out some time.

Sweet little video Ads
The first bail is awesome. Complete and utter wipeout!
Cap is back and still bashing better than ever. He's now also joined the Winship and got himself a Pure

cant belive you have a 'custom spliter' copying bastards, knew i should have paitented that..
Get off your high horse and open your eyes a bit more.

Something you'd know all about, bed-shitter...
It's not nice having to clean up after your mums stayed over..

Yeah the frame is about 20mm shorter in the wheel base and has a shorter rear end. It's more like my old Hydroxx and feels sweet.
No news on the front tyre yet. I hope they do release it, because it is awesome. Same compound as the Der Kaiser, and low profile means it grips like shit to a blanket.

Echo leaver + water = no leaking? i heard that dengura dont like waterbleed or is this wrong?
and did you have to mod that leaver to but magura 4finger blade on it ?
Riding is grate! been waiting for long time to see some proper natural from you!
I've had my lever for over a year and its been fine. A few of the earlier Echo slave cylinders leaked, but I run Magura ones because they have more adjustment anyway.
You have the mod the blade slightly for it to fit, yeah. Just simply file down one of the nubs that is near the mounting hole to make it fit.
Glad you like the riding! Hopefully get some more decent stuff out soon.
Lovely looking bike!
Im loving that custom splitter! I could do with one of those
And also how does that front brake hold up for you?
Front brake is simply awesome. It's very light, works extremely well and consistantely feels the same at the lever.

Nice to see the Tartybikes crew are riding proper bikes again
Good video and jazzy bike
Hahah, still got my brakeless Inspired. In fact the other night, me and Mark were doing a bit of an indoor brakeless challenge

Sup, standard stuff for Stan. Just wondering about this frame and its stiffness. Does it flex much without a booster and how is the overall stiffness compared to other frames Stan has used.
Thanks guys.
Frame is suprisingley stiff. The tubing is thicker than my last two frames (Sky/Hydroxx2) so that helps, but the brake feels just as stiff too. The design of the Echo is very neat and simple and the rear end is compact so there isn't a lot of room for any give.

What are these yellow brake pads in TNN backings?
Just some random material I'm trying out.
-
Nice one Mark.
Frame is awesome, as is the spec. I'm very happy with this bike. I've not rode much "normal trials" recently, but this bike has got me going again. Starting to get used to it now and will try and sort a proper video out.

Awesome video that. Riding was top notch and some of the lines are huge.
The hot sun etc makes me jealous!
Looking forward to the 2nd part...
-
Awesome riding as usual. Much prefer Dani on 20". He's got style and power which is sometimes difficult to show on a mod.
-
Nice one James.
Good variety of spots and moves which is cool.
-
I enjoyed that. I like the snow and the fact you could see the conditions are pretty challenging.
The setup with the rocks etc looks really good too.
-
Is that the 2011 koxx?
Looks like a Sky with no paint.
-
Awesome video.
The power and technique Benito has is amazing.
Loved it.
-
Amazing. Absolutely inspiring video from all aspects.
Locations were a breath of fresh air, music worked perfectly and the riding was next level.
I want to go ride now.

Random obstacle and probably the last thing I'd ride when up at the quarry. There is so much more to do..
The only reason I was on it is because there is a photographer for the council just out of shot who wanted to show that it is "being used" by riders haha!
Also explains my 4 day trackstand!

Really pleased with how it all turned out after lots of debating and fettling with random bits of tube we had.
Hopefully it all hold up and then we can look at doing the downtube
