  1. nah cause your post shows up to lock the lockring on so it doesnt come loose and i want to weld the acs completely up so it doesnt freewheel anymore.

    yeah mate it is true about the pads wearing down etc i spoke to shaun about them and he was really disapointed etc, with the backing snapping he was hurting himself when this happend etc.
  3. right i could be stupid but you havent realised what i said in my first post, i want to weld my acs up so it is a fixed cog, not stop the lock ring coming off

  7. hi there, i have an acs that i want to make into a fixed cog, do i just have to weld the moving part to the lockring? just so it stops freewheeling oviously doing this when it is engaged. cheers ian
  8. i just built my new echo wheels today and they look the sex. i have new echo disc hub laced 2x onto new echo rim all in silver with blakc spokes and nipples, and for the rear new echo fixed hub laced 3x onto new echo rim with black spokes and nipples and they are so light compared to my old wheels, havent ridden them yet duw to not having a frame

    why not drag them to UNI with a tractor (im sure you have one somewhere) :) on the other hand the rocks neer where ilive are wank so small and not even worth riding
  10. yeah it is my own opinion i suppose but as rick said he had my red heatsinks steve gave me that rpelaced my clear ones and i hated them, i tihnk im just one of these people that prefers to use pads that are tried and tested and beeen going for ages like koxx blocks or plazmatic CRM's. but i may be tempted to try the new CNC backings if people think they are worth it.
  11. its good to hear all that steve but form past experiences with heatsink pads, i wont be using them in the future. They may of improved drastically since i used them last at nearly 6 months ago but i think i would rather buy some koxx blocks or plazmatic pads. its good to hear though that you are putting the customer first and the new metal backings seem to be a very good idea, good luck mate cheers ian

  17. no he doesnt need the frame ill agree, but if yeah he could race on some 200 pound frame but he would be alot slower, but the frame is made my a company BMC and only 50 of the frame being made and it it the dogs bollocks of time trials frames, and by the way he is a semi pro used to be a pro byt due to injury in his career he had to step down, he was set to ride the tour but then got injured
  18. my parents are split up aswell, i got my dad the original live aid dvd, and am propally going to get him a few other bits aswell, dunno about my mum because i hardly see her
  19. road cycling is expensive as i have found out, like my boss who is semi pro owns a shop etc, was looking and getting a new frame that retailed at 5500 pounds, so i think road cycling has to be the most expensive cycling disaplin(sp)

  22. hi mate i have got the new echo disc hub and fixed rear hub for my mod coming and the new rims also, ill post up later when i get home if they are there are not and tell you what the quality is like but phil assured me they are great.
