  1. HEJ! Yes, i know this ride is mentioned in our other topic about the BUY-ALL tour [2] 2005, but since this is the only weekend ride that we will arrange I thought it could be useful to get another one started. So, we will go to Bristol, hope to be there at around 11. I don't know where you usually meet up, so someone please help me set a place. Train station perhaps? Me, Robert Janson, Fatmike are definately there. Tim Stedman will probly go. And hopefully a few others (Y) Whos up for this? (Y) Peter
  2. hey wayne, would be mint if you came down. look at the first page, new updated plan there. Brum and bristol are defo, the days before aren't since i wont be together with janson then. i'll ride around london on friday. the weekdays in november will be spent around worcs. fatmike said we could go to bracken rocks on monday, if the weather is good, and if we can be arsed to go that far.
  3. If you have a FFW set up, you can in most cases just put a bashplate designed for FFW cranks on, such as the echo ones... The only problem you might get is bad clearance between the freewheel/cog and the BB, if you have a narrow BB...
  4. The Try-all's seems to be quite poor quality, seen a few pairs tear apart. edit: The monty shoes have the same sole as the Ribos, very good grip and not too hard or soft.
  5. If we dont get a date and place up soon people will have other plans, wont they? It seems like most people in this thread want it to be the 29th in Brum. Me and Janson have planned to go :S
  6. try to bend it back again, since buying a new one is very expensive... I've bend mine back a few times, im sure you'll get it straight enough.
  7. so, is it definately Saturday 29th October, in Burmingham?
  8. But the chain will stretch, and become slack. If you have a pre-stretched chain and the right length chainstays, you might get away with it. I've seen pics on here of Dan Ko's bike, without a tensioner, might find it in the gallery.
  9. Well, the best thing to do would propably be to get a single-speed chain tensioner. Works just like a locked out mech, so you get the right chain tension. The better ones will manage being landed on and stuff without getting damaged. Without any tensioner you will get problems keeping the chain tight.
  10. ahh forgot about that... but thanks for the advice. seems like everything is getting a bit wierd now, when theres too many things to think of. too many rides to chose between. and i still cant get hold of Janson
  11. wait a sec... :ermm: I really want to go to the Halloween ride, and it seems like alot of people will. This means that the plans for the weekend will be changed.... sorry bout that. Blackghostknife, cant you ride on friday ? seems like most people have holidays then.
  12. yeah, could we get a definate date for this?(N) I was hoping to ride briston on the sat, but I'll most likely get up to brum if its on the same day. (Y)
  13. http://www.murphys-laws.com/murphy/murphy-true.html Check that out :P Will give you all knowledge about Murphys law, which is "sods law" in Britain...
  14. just curious, but who was Sod? or what is this sod thing. I know the meaning of the law, that everything that can go wrong will go wrong, at the worts times... It's by some reason called Murphys law here.
  15. Fatmike just suggested that we should go to Worcs on the first day of the trip, to be there when people have their half term holidays. That could be a good idea, but would need some more planning... Thats why we havent confirmed any dates yet, but soon we will have the definate schedule, as soon as i get hold of Janson.. But posting it here has given us some useful info on when people are out to ride (Y)
  16. ha-ha... is it really that bad?

  18. I run my monty 05 with a profile, has been fine for 9 months. I did crack one of the earliest 221ti's near the BB, but with a standard monty hub. Anyway, I now have a different spacer on the Profile, home made, that has taken the width down to ~107mm's Here's a pic of Johans bike, with a similar spacer: You see the silver bit on the hub, on the left side to the chainstay.
  19. the high-jump thing is awesome. 12 pallets hook, done 4 years ago.
  20. Hello All photos are taken by Mads, and since he has already posted them on OTN I'll just link to them : http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=15851 Riders in the topic name... And also photos of me riding a Coust! :$ Really good comp, well organized by Anders Kolpen and really nice sections. thanks Peter EDIT: 2 of the Photos! Me in the spool-section After comp on Mads Coustellier
  21. I sometimes tap on my short mod. On lower stuff, about bar height, it feels more controlled. Or if you want to get up something rounded, like a concrete pipe, its really good to tap. But now I'm trying to do more bunnyhops, or hook-ups :$(which i do from a bunnyhop, to get the speed)
  22. Monty rear hubs are 106mm spacing, not much use for any bike except Montys.
