  1. I, and few others, have been thinking about doing some urban trials event for a few months now, when i get more free time it might actually happen. mind you all, this is in Sweden, where the sport is even smaller, but still in a similar position where noone knows about the sport. I really really think that comps of all sorts in cities would be a good idea. Look at the UCI champs/cups, some of them seem to get a massive amount of spectators.
  2. shame about the wrist, must be really annoying =/ cool , erm, not website as in a site with info and stuff, but cool pics and funny random things
  3. funny, the helmet looks soo much worse in real life. I and johan laughed so bad when we found it in a bikeshop. At 6 pounds it's a bargain. The pics are nice, I'm just waiting for the best ones to go online ^-^
  4. I don't like landing on my back, but as you say, if it happens and you don't land on anything sharp and pointy you'll most likely be alright. But, also as you said, to hit your knees, or something else, I have gotten the same dizzy weird feeling a few times. I always walk around, and I used to drink lots of water, when i hurt myself. I think it's mainly to do something elsa than to think of the pain, and to drink is always nice. Don't know why you can get that weird feeling though, might be a nerve or something you hit. Maybe someone on here can explain
  5. http://www.cyclecomponents.com/ is a Swedish webshop that has silver DM24's in stock at 22 EUR. If you don't understand Swedish, you can change language to English in the top right corner Sadly no silver Dx32's though, only in black. Good of you to get the IMO best and strongest ever rear rim Direct link to silver DM24
  6. calm down wayne the hub will still have 48 engagement points, but on a 20" bike you have a 18:12 (3:2) gearing. that means, every crank rotation you do the wheel will spin 1.5 rotations. Same thing it back-pedalling, you spin the cranks 1 rotation while the hub spin 1.5x. Thats why you get 72 positions for the cranks to be in. With a CK on a 20" bike you'll get 108 positions. 72*1.5=108. With a CK on a bike with 1:1 gearing, lets say you ride 18:18 for some reason, you will have 72 crank positions. With a TA front freewheel you spin the cranks one rotation and get 108. hope that helped for something. peter PS. when will the TA freewheel be out for sale?
  7. You'll probably viod the warrenty if you grind it though?
  8. What is there to ride in Thriftwood? that costs money?
  9. By floating, do you mean the ones with the brake surface "bolted" to a centre bit? I tried one yesterday and it felt horrible, because the whole thing was rocking back and forth, much like the feel with brakes where the pads move. Stupid for trials, at least the newer style of riding with gaps fo front and pointy rocks or rails when you want the front brake to lock instantly.
  10. only 10 days? sounds like the trip will be more about driving than riding bikes. not to spoil the fun for you, but i think you need to change the plan a bit Adam. otherwise it sounds like those who come will have loads of fun.
  11. haha, alright Janson Means i need to do better next time... although the riding can't have been that crap
  12. Before you said that I thought the pic of a seat was a computer made one sortof combined with a proper pic of the seatpost:- suppose I'm tired...
  13. If you eventually get into that situation you might aswell hit him in the face! well, i dont like raw violence like that, and it would feel strange to smash someone like that like totally break the nose and maybe give him some brain damage or hell, even crack the skull and kill him, not too nice after all.. problem is, not everyone think about all this, what can happen... thats where the problem is
  14. good to see its up, although not many people have watched it yet

    A Sweet Bail

hahahahhahahahahhahahhahhahahahaha oh my god lucky to land feet down. bet the shin took a beating though. bloody funny, you're really flying! good job you're alright
  16. I'd stay away from Canon video cameras, the picture quality tends to be quite poor, and on the cheaper ones there are many annoying small things, like noise from the cassette compartment, very shit wide angle(an extra lens is a must have), really really poor quality indoors or in the evening. Mine is about 1.5-2 years old though, but as far as i know the newer models aren't that much superior.
  17. It was a good trial after all. bit boring to ride 5 sections 4 times, but still well done from the organizers to get the trial going. I was riding allright, but the 2 stupid fives i got really set me out of the right mood for riding. Last lap was allright though. weather was well weird ! Peter
  18. Can't, the bike + bag will take up more or less all of the allowed baggage on the plane, and the hand luggage will be crammed with all clothes for 8 days No need for waterproofs though, I'm used to rain and mud Waynio! ace to see you're going Sounds like it will be a mint trial after all, I was a bit worried that it would be cancelled when there was only 4 entries!! one of them being me! See you all there people PS. Forgot the important thing... It says on the entry form that you can sign on on SUNDAY morning, i very much hope that is still OK although you can now sign on on SATURDAY too? I won't make it there on Sat, thats why I'm asking.. Peter
  19. I've alread written here that I'm going, and that's for definate. I sent my enty form in last week so it should have arrived by monday, but I suppose that it is one of the 4 late ones if those are the only ones. I did however forget to send the self addressed envelope, I hope that is not a problem, shouldn't be now though, when entry is open until Saturday. I'm arriving and signing on on sunday morning, see you all there Peter
  20. Staying with Jordie Cooke, going there with him and his mum.
  21. Yeah Japan was nuts! I fell in too, dangerous shit. The stream through the town was 3x the size when we went home compared to when we arrived, and brown instead of crystal clear. I think people died there! worst weather ever
  22. Not sure if any of the pics I've uploaded from Slovakia are any use? Maybe I can get some still images from a video for you, since that shows how it looked from the top row of the seats, wont be very large pics though (800x600) ?
