  1. I'm not coming now, Sians car is playing up, so were going car shopping today.
  2. Sounds ideal. The ride from Liverpool street to Shell is pretty quick and easy.
  3. But he's still gotta get from Liverpool Street to basically Waterloo, with a bike in a box. Dave, majority of the trains from bournemouth are doubled up so they can take 6 bikes instead of the normal 3, but South West Trains never seem to care if the train is crowded with bikes aslong as the pathways are clear. But to be honest, to arrive for 11 you'll be getting the 8:59 which wont be crowded given it's a sunday.
  4. I'm pretty certain Ryanair don't fly to London City, they fly to Luton, Stanstead and Gatwick. Luton and Stanstead have train stations, with trains running direct to London, but that'll only get you as far as the north part of the city. Gatwick has a station which will get you direct to the south of the city, (probably your best bet). You train it from gatwick to London Victoria, then walk/ride down along the river to London Eye. Or as a better choice, train from Gatwick to Clapham Junction, change there and get the train to London Waterloo, where we will be meeting more or less outside the station.
  5. Jonny that would be way to much to take in if Ryan came. Seriously though, to have the chance to ride with hans rey for us riders that know of him is like a dream come true. For me personally I see it as being better that meeting anyone famous like the queen, Hans is one of the originators of bike trials followed by the marty(i)ns. This ride is getting more insane by the day.
  6. Hey buddy, on saturdays and sunday's you do not have to pay to drive into London, so don't worry about that. As for hotels try Travel Lodge or Premier Travel Inn these hotels cost around £50 per night for the room, and can easily take 4 adults in 1 room. Prices may vary depending on where you stay. As for riding on saturday, I would love to come out and ride as I will be in the London area, but Unfortunately I have a selection day to attend for an apprenticeship. Never mind, I shall see you on the sunday, unless you all fancy coming to Reading and riding there on saturday night. Reading isn't far from London at all.
  7. Do you reckon they'll ever remove that skip? lol It never seems to be used, other than by us riding it. Looks like you made good use of the good weather.
  8. They can fine you on the spot and most likely will rather than doing it by post. However you don't pay the officer. You have to phone the local fines department to make your payment. It used to be a bonus if you were stopped by the police in a different town to your's, normally because it would involve extra paperwork, cos they have to file it at their station then forward on to your local station, so they never bothered with it and just gave warning's, but now it they seem to be more keen on issuing on the spot fines. The main problem with 200+ rider's is that London is a busy place anyway, full of locals and tourist's, so if you add 200+ rider's to the mix, especially along South Bank and Tate Modern areas, then it causes fear to the general public. They see someone on a bike, they can manage, they see a group of people on bike's and all hell breaks loose, they move out the way but so do you and so almost collide, people feel threatened when there is a group of cyclist not on the road, so they phone the police and make it sound worse than it is. If everyone is courteous whilst riding between spots and also at the spots, then the general public can get along fine, with out anyone having to say a bad word. Simple thing to do is to not rush around and squeel your brakes, as we've got all day to ride, just take your time, relax and enjoy a great day's riding that has been organised by Jack and Joe.
  9. You think the police are gonna know who Vincent and Kenny are, or care about their achievements within the sport. The police will class all of us the same: Males of various ages that rides bikes causing criminal damage. It doesn't matter if you don't damage a thing, the police still see it as damage, because apparently your rubber tyres cause where on the brick walls you ride on and concrete blocks you've been gapping across. Biggest load of crap ever, but as far as the police are concerned it's still damage. Finger's crossed we get no hassle, but given the expected turn out it is pretty expected to be moved. The one thing that will help us, no matter whether were all in a big group or a few smaller groups. If the police, security guard(s) or any other authoritised person/people approach us, be friendly and polite and move on if asked to do so. Anyone causing agro, will cause problems for themselves and the rest of the rider's about, particularly with the police, as they'll be more than happy to issue a fine or take your bike off you. I've been on many London ride's, though yet to see someone have their bike confiscated, I have seen plenty of rider's have their details taken down and been issued fine's. So in your interest just be observant, if you see the police about, let other's know, if needs be move on before being confronted by the police. This will make everyones day far more enjoyable, as knowone likes being hassled when out riding.
  10. Looking good there Ross, though that sidehop looked pretty nasty at the end. Hope your well.
  11. Sounds good Danny, I'm staying at my Grandads in Earley, so can meet you at Earley station if you like.
  12. Jack how you getting into London? I'm gonna be in Reading from Friday night to Sunday.
  13. New Milton street is poor, couple walls, no higher than 4/5 bricks a few benches and an alright skate park. Dave, your best bet is going down to Barton-On-Sea in addition to what Dave showed you, there are some larger rocks that are spaced out which are fun. Dan Jones made a video which was filmed on those rocks.
  14. Looks like Lee and I may well be coming along. Hopefully see you all there.
  15. Lee Mcaw and myself shall be riding Brighton, weather depending. Not sure what time or where were meeting, but shall sort that before saturday. Anyone else game?
  16. That sucks, I had the Magura braided hosing before, and it snapped by the join to the lever, but unlike normal hosing, you can't cut it down fit a new olive and attach it to the lever, so i went back to plastic hosing. To be honest, the only way your gonna get a braided crossover is if someone is selling one. They only come in complete kit's as new.
  17. Scratch that, I've just remembered that I've already got plans for that weekend. Shame, really wanna ride Newcastle again.
  18. Just looking at the comps on the events page, do you have to qualify to do the world rounds or can you just enter? I've never entered either before, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
