  1. hiya people, thank you all very much for your replies and i have devised a plan of action as follows. i am selling my 26 inch now no matter what.i am going to save the money untill after my GCSE are over and then buy my 20" but keep riding my other bike here and there to keep the skill up. i totally agree with the whole competitiveness, it is way out of hand. I have 2 very funny guys i ride with which are the best people in the world in my eyes to ever ride with but there is the group rides which is taken way to seriously. trials is a sport people do to enjoy, not to get criticised and put off. toby
  2. im deffinetely selling my 26 and i think i will be buying a 20 then. thanks people, you have all relighted my spark. toby
  3. i was concidering changing to the new zoo python as its a smaller bike and im less prone to indury, i have a reputation for doing things no-one else will do like massive massive gaps and drops. i like the look of the new zoo bikes but how do they ride?? toby
  4. i feel the same as all of you guys. pressure is killing me and im not sure if i will be able to ride much longer. ash is right, every ride has got so competative now and its not like it used to be 2 years ago, even at comps, people dont socialise, people always used to be cheering each other on, now to get the same effect you have to do something stupid. im not enjoying myself any more riding trials, i have ridden DH and that literally nearly killed me. trials just needs alot of time to try new things and develop balance and technique and time is something that we are alll short of at the moment. what do we all think?? cheers people, toby
  5. hiya there, im 16 and just doing my GCSE's now and im feeling pretty crap to be honest. im going to be driving pretty soon and im starting to feel that trials might be coming to an end for me. i have been riding since december of 2003, broken countless frames, wheels and other parts like the usual but also had a few severe indurys. i have a shattered knee cap in my left knee and torn ligaments all round the knee joint which makes me unstable sometimes, i smashed my hand through my handlebar a year back and broke nearly every bone in the palm of my right hand which now leads to great discomfort but i ave still kept up the riding. im now looking at sixth form etc and im having to sell my pride and joy trials bike, my KOT. its a perfect match for anybody and i hate to see it go but i have to sell it to pay off my car as im now unemployed untill i get my lifeguard job. im just feeling like maybe its the end of the road for me, ive had a brilliant 2 years and just wnted to know what other people are thinking and has anybody else had the same experience, ive been out riding tonight and just feel like im not sure if i still want to be doing it. thanks people and am waiting for some replies. regards, toby

  14. Hiya there people, ive recently been having problems on my 26 getting on with it. the problem was that i used to ride 20 inch and then started to ride 26 and found that i could back wheel bigger stuff. today i got on my mates 20" t-pro that i built him which is super light and i wheel transfered from vertical, something which i have only dreamed of on a 26!! im selling my frame anyway but do people think i should ride 20 again and get really good on it and then change back to 26 or stick with it. i can sidehop better on a 20" aswel. if people think it helps i currently ride a kotr ms2 in 1065 wb, im looking if i get a 20" to get the new zoo or if i stay 26 then il get the new pitbull 06. any help appreciated, cheers, Toby
  15. i agree, that is just stupid and im sure that they will be saying the same, but would you rather look stupid on two wheels or one?? toby

    10ft Drop

nice drop mate, its not quite 10ft though from the camera angle in the pic, more about 7 or 8. very nice, keep it up and get it nailed soon! toby
  21. around 20-25psi for a rear stock mate i think, thats what we all run, mainly because thats what i was told savage and others ride with which also seemed to work for me as im doing big drop gaps and taps,. toby
  22. for a stock you cant go much wrong with a UCI style frame, ideal geometry would be +50bb, 71 degree headangle, 370 rear end, low design like the kot ive got, long wheelbase and a riser stem to compensate. toby
  23. heya there, was an awsome weekend, ive ridden with doney and savage before but that was mind blowing, some awsome lines in there but again the only thing was the low roof!! that cant be helped! will be going next time and with darren to the warehouse for a long time yet! cheers people, Toby p.s. wheres the pics of the sunday??
  24. hiya there people, i was at doneys on the sunday and there were a fair few people out taking pics. i was just wondering if anybody had actually got them developed or on their computers yet as i would quite like to see them. if you are wondering im the guy who did the big drop gap on the red kot. there was also a guy with a video camera out...where has that got to! can anybody shed light on the situation?? cheers people, was a really good ride.
