  1. Try loosening the stem bolts and turning the bike upside down, next stand on the bars at the same time as pulling as hard as you can on the front wheel. Careful it doesnt come off real suddenly though
  2. for the love of children and so i can sleep at night please do not buy from mark anthony. i and others have had nothing but trouble.
  3. Just get a plain colour like black or silver etc. If you look in the bike pics section the majority of bikes with silver and black components are highly rated but the ones with bright colours etc are not.
  4. Yeah its just i dont wanna pay nearly £300 for a bike thats no use because im too tall for it hehe. i've just rang my lbs who said im more than welcome to a ride round their workshop on the bike to check im happy with the size so all is well
  5. No way would anyone pay £40 for that unless their wrong in the head mate, sorry. A 2nd hand shop may take it off you for £10 or something if your lucky
  6. Yeah, that was the plan for moving the seat, but with the seat fully up in the frame will it be far enough away from the pedals for long legs?
  7. I want it to be very comfortable for long distances etc but also usable on jumps. i know low frames are cool on jumps but my main worry was riding 10 miles etc on it, i suppose aslong as the seatpost was long enough to get it high for me it would be ok wouldnt it? like sitting down for ling distances but then dropping the seat for the odd jumps session would be fine by me, im just worried of my legs being cramped sitting down, if you know what i mean
  8. I am shortly going to buy a mountain bike. it will be for getting around on and doing jumps etc. The only problem is the one i want they have stopped producing in the larger frame sizes. Im just 6 foot, maybe a little more and the bike i want is 15" frame. Is there a big problem with buying a lower frame and putting the seat really high? I have a mate thats slightly taller than me and he rides a Giant Acid which i do believe are fairly low frames. so yeah, are there any big reasons why i shouldnt go with a 15" frame bike? Thanks...
  9. nd ended up, at the embassy or something? i want the same question answered !!!
  10. Basically, at the age of 15 im sick of biking miles on my zoo which is very tiring/uncomfortable so im looking at trying to find a way of riding my new xc bike when it comes whilst carrying my zoo somehow. Any ideas on how to do this? i was thinking about a cheap bike bag but didnt know wether it would be a pain to carry on a bike. Thanks, John
  11. The riding id be doing has flat and uphill parts aswell as downhill. Im definately looking at a xc bike
  12. cool thanks guys. But should i be looking at the higher frame or the lower one and putting the seat higher?
  13. Right, Basically im a fat shit and recently i came to the conclusion that my weight is holding me back both on my motorbike and pushbike. At first i was looking at multi gym's. But later realised i need to lose weight and become really fit rather than getting muscly (sp?). So im looking at the Saracen Mantra 1. Just wondering if it looks good value for money? i like the looks of it, it seems like a nice looking bike and looks like it would be really smooth. Id be using it for riding on roads, gravel tracks, through woods and of course the odd dirt jumping session. Now id like opinions on this bike as well as other bikes around the £300 mark. And the last thing. Does the frame height make any difference to how the bike rides/handles or is the higher frame just for tall people?. If so im over six foot so would the higher frame suit me better? Thanks, John. EDIT. Bike Full Spec
  14. ive got a 2006 raga replica 125, will post pics up later tonight EDIT: My Bike
  15. probably made to suit the 4T engine or something though That is whats spoilt the shercos in my opinion, lack of steering lock.
  16. I Agree. theres a lad just gone onto a 200 beta off a 250 im my center and hes riding much better. Also i and a few others in my area are riding the expert route on 125's, and im 13 stone mine pulls me great aslong as i keep it revving. look at alexz wigg etc, that shows you what a 125 is capable of doing. if you ask me a 200 is a perfect clubman bike.
  17. cheers. he did ask me wether i wanted it striked or not, i chose not to so the person could get it straight cash. so all i need to do is fill in his name where it says pay? also i did get the recipt thing yeah
  18. Right, I've bought something on ebay and am paying by a postal order. So i went to the post office, said how much etc and he gave me the slip marked with how much i need to pay. I know that i need to put it in a envelope and send it away but dont know what i need to fill in first. I guess where it says pay i put his name, but is that all or do i put my name etc somewhere? also, on the back theres a dodgy gift aid thing. do i just leave this blank? please help QUICK!!!
  19. read the guidelines mate. no fs/wtd topics in nmc, meaning your not allowed to ask if someone will sell you one. Its fine asking where to get one from though. secondly please dont use text talk. and thirdly, you want a 127.5mm bottom bracket for front freewheel. tarty bikes, clean bikes, select bikes will all most probably have them in stock.
  20. 1. Picture doesnt work 2. A little info on your bike maybe 3. What you think of the bike. I could go on. Sorry but try a little harder yeah? then you'll get validated in no time
  21. ^ is clever <mario having fun v probably likes trials
