Yeh i will be, ill be with my mate too, so thats at least 2. i no manchester really well 2 as i ride there most nights

vincent is just amazing!. that 1st skip hop up that HUGE ledge is just mental. the speed trials is great. he rode that uber long bike like a super short street machine. hes such a good rider and yet still only young(does anyone know how old, 19-20 i guess).

i'll be definatley coming to watch with probably a couple of mates, cant wait! :P awww dont be mean to martyn, its got nothing to do with him bein fat, its cause hes old :) lol just kiddin, hes still one of the best rider this country has :) i would love to see him up there on a mod too!

Phil id say the zip tie it there to stop the mech slapping, i've used the same method for ages, i suppose its easier than modifing the mech, but then again i doubt vince would ever do any work on his bike, he probably has a team for that lol. this is the same frame that he was on at the bike show and my mate was after a new bike and the geo looked lovely so we asked fred but he told us its defiantly not coming out and its just a bike made for Vincent. gutted though because it looks amazing and the geo is exactly what i want. chris

ooh was gonna go to back cowm on saturday but if theirs alot of people riding manchester ill go there. i'll bring about 3-4 people depending on whether my mate has his new bike. i ride manchester nearly every night so i know loads of good spots and theirs some large drop gap i've been wanting to try for a while so if its a big ride i'll have a go (Y).

i did 8ft 3inches static flat to flat on pallents in my garden. neil tunnicliff has done 9ft 6inch though :P

the bit above about the preload is also what i think your doing wrong, when you skip hop makes sure your hub/freewheel is engaged ie the pawls are engaged under tension from chain, doing this stops the pawls from engaging super fast and prolongs lide, it also improves your riding and gap distance. if your chain goes 'twang' or that kinda noise when you gap your doing it wrong

Yeah fair enough. I appreciate that. fred was quite helpful about that. It just pi**ed me off that a £400 frame developed a problem after 2 rides. its all sorted now so its ok but i dont think a thread should go after that length of time.

Right well, as good as koxx are, i'm still not impressed that a bolt stripped in my levelboss 2days after using it ans you told me their is nothing that you could do. you just told me that i must have stripped it, which still isn't good because i dent over tighten the bolts so i have to say i think the problem could be due to poor quality brake mounts really. anyway im not having a go because you were pleasant enough on the phone and helped me by advising to get it helicoiled. but i just think warranties on trials products take the mick abit. if that was a xc frame from another high profile company then i am in no doubt that it would by replaced of at least fixed, but because its trials as soon as it leaves the factory the manufacturer or distributor do not care what happens to it, on a £400 frame you would expect even the lame 3 month warranty to mean something.

yes the 1100 will feel shorter than the xtp. my mate has recently changed from a xtp 2(1090 to a vinco(1115) and the xtp felt longer. his riding has improved q.abit and its alot better for natural so i would go 4 the 1100 GU or maybe a vinco

Try all, but they have really thin sidewalls. i run 15 psi and have no probs though. super grippy :rolleyes:

Right this is what you have to do. 1st fit the forks and slide the stem on over the top of steerer and down till it touchs the frame, now using a pencil draw a line around top of the stem. now remove the forks from frame and using the line you have just drawn cut 5mm below it with a hacksaw(the 5mm is needed for the stem top cap to fit). now install a star nut in the inside of the steerer(bout 50p from bike shop, its a star shaped nut with a screw thead though the middle) install by fitting the bolt that goes in the top of stem n whack it it in with a hammer(gently) so that its 10mm below top of forks, now fit forks in frame and slide stem on. put the top cap on and tighten the bolt so that the forks are tight but still move freely. and then tighten up stem bolts. ALL DONE! :lol: ^^^ok alot of people beat me to it^^^^

the nearest town is rochdale , although the quarry is in whitworth. i only live 15min by car away from it, its a great place to ride on a nice day(bit crap wen its when cause its slippy n miserable. pm. me if any of you are thinking of going and ill come along if thats orite (Y) oops dent mean to add that twice :">
