  1. just went to the friends page which does suck. i think the background image should be the same over all pages. the index.jpg bgimage is nice and simple so i would personally use that one. not only will this look classier but it will reduce load time on each page because the image will be stored in the user's cache. for the hard to read text as mentioned in a previous post, you could look into css and create an opaque background behind the text which would look nice or you could just use a white background colour for the table but this would completely hide the background image where the table is. here is an example of what you could do. http://www.domedia.org/oveklykken/css-transparency.php
  2. a lot of people use broadband internet now and that is fine but you still need to learn to compress your images so that load time is decreased and people don't have to download 1mb of crap per page. the background images should be like 20kb max. you could same the index.jpg as a gif with maybe 16 colours and it would be the same quality but have a shitload smaller file size. all your other images can be saved in photoshop using the "save for web" function at about 60% quality .jpg and will look the same but again be a hell of a lot smaller in file size.

    Video Uploading...

That's quite a post, maybe a sticky? Great work Mark.
  4. I never post much anymore but i felt i had to to say how great all of those phots are. seriously well done. if i lived in england and had any of me in there or anyone i knew i would get one, if not just because it's a plainly awesome picture, but to support you because you are doing good things. If anyone is thinking they would like one but can't make up their mind then i saw just go for it. it's only a small amount of money out of your pocket but it will help Chris out and encourage him to do it more. great work.
  5. This is not of me or anyone i know, just some people Joel and I met at one of the worst skate parks in Canberra. Despite this the video turned out well i think. Link on the home page of canberratrials.com - just right click the picture.
  6. I haven't got the new video yet but site is looking good. It is a new design isn't it? The only suggestion i would make is to do with the pics and videos pages. Remove the outer scrollbar and just have the one that scrolls the content (the smaller one). It will look and work better. It may just be a matter of setting the outer one to noscroll or removing it completely. Good work!
  7. I updated it so go here. http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=12734
  8. Mod661, I think that you would be best off with the 0.5x wide angle lens. In the screen shot you took of the canberratrials video the lens being used is a clip on 0.3x zoomed in slightly to get rid of most of the vignett, so it is probably at about 0.45x. The clip on lenses are great, so easy to use however I found that you can't zoom in very far without it loosing focus completely with no fix for it. I guess you get what you pay for in that respect. As for your camera, i can't guarantee the clip on 27-37mm lens will fit your camera but i think you should go for it. It probably fits a 25mm so that they don't get any complaints. Also, with your camera having the 27mm lens you will get less vignetting as it is seeing less of the fisheye lens if that makes sense, it is looking more through the centre. I now run a 0.6x lens that is better quality than my old one and can zoom in as far as it likes without losing quality. I am more than happy with the wideness it gives me and wouldn't swap it for anything wider. Anyway, in some sort of summary, go for this one Raynox 0.5x Clip On (27mm-37mm) - (QC-505) which should look like this: Oh and a link to some pictures of my new one here
  9. I think you make some great points Prawn, the frames design certainly makes sense and it probably weighs no more than the BT, I just think the frame looks too "busy" if you get my drift. I suppose the BT's are very Echo es3-4 looking and I loved that, very clean and simple. Anyway I always seem to like what you do with your bikes so I am looking forward to seeing a new colour scheme! Onza didn't do a very good job. I like Joe's thinking with the Si Sagar purple.
  10. i have to be honest, it's nice but nowhere near how nice your BT was. i was never a fan of the coust shape though so i guess i'm biassed, they just look so heavy.
  11. The only reason no one believed you was because you showed them no facts. If you had access to an email stating the fact then why not post it, people won't argue with you that way.
  12. I'm surprised that Luke hasn't posted the email to prove that he is correct but I am more suprised that no one has asked him to. Luke, if you wanted to convince everyone of your inside knowledge then give them something they can't refuse to believe. I know that Chris Akrigg left his complete Ashton in Australia but that is all I know. Post the email Luke.

    Click Me !

No one is really whinging here Luke. Just a note for when you try to have an argument next time, use correct spelling and grammar, it makes your argument firmer. Steve-O's comment was fine, he didn't seem to be having a dig at you. As for the frame, i do think the blue chain looks out of place, as do the stickers, mainly because they are too large. I think it's good that you sprayed it, at least now it is different to every other silver/chrome frame out there. Well done!
  14. Ok, i did this for a friend but i may aswell post it here. if you dont use premier to edit then disregard those pics. This is what i do to make a video and compress it. While you are looking at the pictures, download these. You will need them when you want to compress your final video. 'Right Click and Save Target As' http://canberratrials.com/videos/TMPGEnc-2...58.169-Free.zip [ 1.7mb ] http://canberratrials.com/videos/DC.mcf - Settings [ 5kb ] Pics. feel free to ask any questions. i tried my best to expain. Koxx Rims

Todd, calm down u dick, There is no point in going off at him like that, just notify him politly that there is a search function on this forum and that this topic has come up before... Anyway, Justin.L, I use the koxx rim on the rear and I love it, I will not use any other rim, I have the new 47mm wide one sitting in my room ready to be laced, even if I did get it for free. I would not go near the front version of this rim however, I have just totalled the one that came on my koxx, they are crap, now I need a 32 hole hub and a new rim, because they gave me a 28 hole when I bought the bike. Anyway, if u are in the market for a new rear rim, give the koxx a shot, if its built well it will last, hope this helped. Alex
