  1. As Onzaboy Mark said he is ture but all the Onza Bikes are made in house (that the bike built from frames up) at Supercycles. It's been said by them loads in MBUk that they do as once over crimbo Edd and Chris agring (sp) did some! I see no reason for them not doing it without a small surge charge..say an hours labour for it...that could be £30 in some place i know of. What you got to think of is that Dave and Adam will have to deal with one less Zoo Pitbull and one more T-rex frame that been built up but not ridden so it may drop into the spechail offer section cos of marks form it being built...you'd be better off talking to Dave come Monday morning. I know a few shops that have done the same thing and have charged just an hours labour for the change over.
  2. Use to do Xc and DH, then went into the big singletrack movment and it got a bit streety so made the mvoe to trials and not looked back. Did a mix of trials and DH/freeride/hucking but go bord of it being like rididng a soffa so went back to trials only. Way forward
  3. Local rider er in Plymouth, gary who rides for Plymouth Cycle Sceen runs a try all but it did have to have it's top two mounts slightly elongagted to fit...so yeah...but it's a stiff rear end anyways!
  4. Well Only 1 BT frame has cracked, not even our Bigman has done that to one Any of the new echo's yet to die, these all built with this U6 stuff have yet to die so that means anyhting thats from China (Deng) will last you Yet to hear of a Vinco dieing So yeah they will last you but it does depend what you doing withit. if your gonna smash head 1st into a wall at 30mph then expect it go get some headtube flearing as well as a sore head...
  5. Okay so this is what's so far and is set in stone Materials – T45, EN16T, HR4, 4130 (British Steal & Cromloy) Weld – Fillet brazed ^set in stone not changing All seam to favor a bb of 20mm, Deng does 55/60mm and Koxx are just as the name says @ 80mm. So were going for +30mmbb?? What about head angles?? 71* seams a good bet 20 SWG, 0.914mm tubing will do.
  6. Okay it's getitng a little off track. i should say it has to be for a stock frame only and vertical dropouts
  7. Something called C103 (no not the death metal club in Plymouth) it's a meatl welding agent but a chemical one, you paint both surface with it leave then bond and aply some heat and presure of a clmaping force and it bonds them togther and take a lot of force to fail. Umm could be eh, Doc on Monday it is.
  8. f**k a duck!!!!!!!!!! :D that boy i love. Don't let Deng hassle you cos he'll eat you for lunch and spit you bones out and then sell them on after wards. The mod type of chainsatys do you mean shape?? So where talking horizontal dropouts er?? Umm got to be fixed rear wheel so you have set rear end length...sure soemthing crazy could be made to do tension
  9. You thick or just plain stupied?? bith! I said as an ex of the style of them parts. Not to say the fact that them two are the best Uk Steal frame builders. I never said what materials it could be CF or Ti...maybe Lexan even (i wish) Fact you can't weld ether togther, but you can bond them chemicly wihc inturn is as strong as welding them. So :P Ash!!!!!!!!!
  10. Look in our F/S section here , ebay, Tartybikes, Selectbikes, etc
  11. No it's wrong. it's being held where The Bike Show once was. The Bike Show = Brum NEC, it was there not any more, it's now held in a shit hole in Coventry. Nass is now gonan be at Brun, NEC in 06!!!
  12. Okay the deal is * Pete's got itchy feet again * Really big and badly * Got spear time on my hands * But no ideas where to begin * Dengs already f**ked it up for me I wana desgin a new frame. I can't be assed withthe norm, 3 triangle desgin and what not or i just have no idea how to do. Problem is there are so many frame out there now it's hard to do you own...so only option i se eit is take this form that and that and that and mix and match. PIC n MIX is what the frame could be called. So yeah all i want is for you guys and gals to say what bits off other bikes you'd have ie/example:- Curtis headtube, Echo Control dropouts, Leeson BB, Coust downtube You get what i mean, main features of the frame are the important part. So let me know what you think of what you want and why. Even if you can do some random picture work in Photoshop or a even a paint drawing of an idea. Pete
  13. random

    Wow

What you saw there is the idea the a Ti Dh frame/bike not a Dh frame/bike made form Ti

  16. Duno if you know or forget but Dady owns EBC!!! I know exactly what i need and how to do it as i been from the holland plant where all the backings are made to the USA Ca plant where the material is fitted on then ground down and then to the UK plant's where there all sprayed, stamped and boxed then sent world wide. I have a material in mind, it's hard as hel lbut grippy. was gonan try it on a smothe disc and then try it with a grind. Well i stil lhold the fastset speed recold for my local rocket club so doing mach 1.6 on my carbonfiber rocket i think i know exactly what resin to use as thats whats used on disc pads anyways. Umm rim jam stuff sound worth a play. you got any left?? Pete
  17. So we've ether tried it or others own home amde pads. Were getting some amazing results now but has anyone tried it with a disc yet? I been toying with the idea and a solid rota. Why cos the material would be soft and would rip etc when it hits the disc cos of the cut outs or holes. So has anyone tried it?? i gotta grind off the current meat on my old set of pads but i think it'll work. Pete
  18. What do see new for £200?? 2nd hand is where he should go and get a decent frame

  22. Think you'd get a bloody good deal on Echo rims currently, £45 for a set fo F&R ether mod or stock. Go forth dude have a gander Echo Pair of hubs (disc front, 20" rear) £65 Echo 19"/20" Rims, Pair £45 Mutiny Spokes for 20/19" Wheels £10 TartyBikes Wheelbuild (two wheel to build) £20 TartyBikes Rim Grind £FOC £140 spot on ^ there dude meh i'm a f**king super star. You can even still get some decent rubbers then and have a f**king good time when it all come throught. no pun inteneded what so ever. Thus is all arought idela of a great deal being offered by Adam & Dave
  23. I once did a resin cast type that had bits of tar in there, as the tar wore off along withthe pad matewrial more tar was applied...took some working but got there but i got bord so grind
  24. Onza rims, profile hub, tartybikes, job done. meh!
  25. Okay so she's been a bit of bitch recently. Ie:No power then huge power and making an nasty squeak. Specs of the brake for who dont know Mini 4 pot claiper 150mm rota Pro leaver Years old Tonight i've  Sanded the disc and pads Cleaned the disc with nail polish remover as it was to hand and evaporates off, wipped roatt with bog rool till it was no longer black Bled the system with fresh dot5 upwards and got rid of any gunck I've spun the wheel up a few time and it dont squeal now hurray, but it's raining cats and dogs out so i cant try it out. So best advice would be to drag that brake yeah to get that pads to bed back in right?? No water or anyhting, i got like a ten min ride into the city center or Plymouth from my house so that draggin along it should do the job right?? What you say, i though i'd best check before i did it. Bloody discs. Pete If not the old water and stoppie trick?? it should be a little powerhouse of a brake.
