What discs and what sise rotors are the people who don't like rear disc using? If you've not tried a 200mm hope mono trial on the rear then i think you should be banned from having an opinion. I've gone double disc and will never go back. Same hold, generally better quality of braking all around. Different feel on release but that just takes some getting used to.

Wow. I'm paying £15 a month for mine. However i've got a shit load of fluid spare as i don't use my lens evey day. I should by 6th months and quit my current plan. Do you think the fulid i have will do for all those on that site?

Really? I thought pure oxygen was lethal. That means that he has 5 times the amount of oxygen in his lungs. I can hold my breath for around 120 seconds. Does that means i could do it for 10 mins?

Maybe so. Also to add, how it should be is tobacco and alchol should be iligal. But becuase they are legal now there would be uproar if they were taken away. The government can't exactly ban them, but they can't start making some drugs legal just becuae they're safer than tobacco and alchol.

I have very little knowledge about drugs and their effects which is probably obvious from what i've wrote in this topic, the only way someone will truely know is by taking them. I have no intention of finding out the hard way, and i will have no idea what they would so to me long term untill it's too late. So i'm going to let their decisions be an absolute guide. That's a good point. On charts and graphs like this there should be "Alchol abuse" and "Sensible drinkers of alchol". I ride with a helmet, lights front and back. I decided what i need and don't need when i'm on my bike and long time ago, i also decided that what i do on my bike is relativly low risk. I will quite happilly break the law when on my bike becuase "not having lights" on my bike at night i feel isn't a big deal than what the law was intended for. The police woman that stopped me when i had no lights on my bike didn't understand that my bike had £250 worth of stopping power, and a top speed of a slow jogger. And i was also riding it in a well lit area consideratly. I agreed with the police woman that she was just doing her job, and told her to do what she's got to do. She took my name and that was about it. Comparing all this to ecstasy, if you think your ok taking it, done a lot of thinking about it and really know what your getting into, and your prepared to take the consiquences if you get caught or seriously ill, and i don't know you. I'm one of these people who thinks 'drugs are bad'. I'd be pissed off if i found out one of my friends took ecstasy, and i'd be on their ass untill they stopped without even giving two shits wether they're adictive or not, have any long term effects, or not. It just wouldn't matter. They've got to be illigal for a reason, and there's people out there who are a lot more intilligent than me making these descisions so we don't have to. I supose i'd have different views if they were legal. Then you know there's no shit in them, the money isn't going to criminals etc etc. My adivce would just be to stay away.

I think i remember the topic from where that pciture was from. Everyone first thought the front freewheel would engage first, then the rear, meaning you'd get a very shitty feel, but what actually happend is one of the freewheels being stiffer than the other made it effectivly a fixed cog, so it was ok. If for some reason you had two freewheels you could simply put a bit of glue round the front one and it'd be fine. Wouldn't need to do a good job of it either as the pawls would hold it in place. When a freewheel is engaged, and your pedaling, say uphill. You freewheel is effectivly and temporarily a fixed cog. If you had a freewheel on the rear with that tryall up front, the rear freewheel would 'freewheel' and the try-all would stay put. The only way the try-all freewheel would become a freewheel again would be if you pedaled backwards. But, as the try-all freewheel may not be used for a while it'd probably seeze up a bit and become a fixed cog over time anyway. It's an interesting concept. Gotta talk about something now mythbusters have f**ked up the plane on a tredmill.

My front hub had a screw on disc mount. Never came undone, didn't expect it to being on the front mind you. I would have thought a shit load of locktite would do the job and hold under forces much more than anything you'll do riding.

For the record i did say double t when i was there. The reason i said they were asshole is becuase of the way he acted not because he stopped me.

What i love about what you just said is that not only are there obvious jokes like have been posted (which had me in stitches anyway), and then all the drug jokes on top of that, but i think you meant to say 'ice breaker' and even if you did the sentence still wouldn't have made sence .

I work in a small shop with maybe a dozen employees. I'm starting to become aware of people absolutely freaking out when I put a 2 liter bottle of milk in a carrier bag, sometimes nearly shouting at me that they don't want a bag as if as soon as the item goes in the bag they're fused together somehow and I'm unable to remove the item from the bag and use it for the next customer. Anyway, they think by using their cotton 'green' bags that smell like pond water and yeast that they're "saving the planet". However, after thinking about how much a carrier bag actually weighs after reading something on here about it, the amount of bags used by one average person per year surely wouldn't be anymore than the weight of a laptop? Compare that to the amount of plastic or any oil based plastic / polymer that we throw out every day, plastic carrier bags must be on the bottom rung of the ladder when it comes to waste. Look at all the plastic that's on an average fridge, washing machine or milk bottle. Am I missing the point? Or are people actually thinking they're making a difference by not taking a carrier bag when they buy a 2 liter bottle of milk, even though the carrier is only a fraction of the weight of the plastic packaging for the milk. Will banning carrier bags make any difference what so ever?

Chain tuggs in my opinion aren't as good as cams. Cams go over the axel and push up against a bolt in the frame, becuase they're spiral shape, the more you turn them round the more the wheel get's pushed back. I've used both and i find cams better as once you get them ajusted right (i used the cams with teeth) there is no way the wheel is going to move at all, where as with tuggs i found that the wheel would move slightly after a few backhops, so i found myself over tensioning with tuggs and letting them slip back into place which used to realy piss me off. I've never used the cams with no teeth, i don't think i ever will, i had to use a pair of molegrips on the arm of the FP cams to get my chain the right tension, if the were rouned i don't think they would have held in place to tighten the axel bolt up.
