  1. If its a mod, then dual disk works REALLY well, if you tend to fall off/bash your bike then Maguras are harder to hit. If its a stock, I am going to go against the grain and say dual vee.
  2. yeah we are....more riding time whooop!
  3. no, despite being listed as a 2.5", they are actually smaller than a 2.4" rubber queen, especially in height.
  4. go with a rain king or de kaiser, they have the stiffest thickest sidewalls I have ever seen, you will NOT rip through it and if you get a puncture then you are a basher (I have never had a puncture in the 7 months of using my rain king)
  5. I would rather use the softer and stickier rubber found in tyres such as conti and maxxis
  6. pah! set them up right and they last ages!
  7. Phatpads do indeed have great bite, but I always found them lacking in the hold department. My current LGM pads are not prototype ones and they are lasting ages.
  8. it didnt skip loads, but the lockring came undone a couple of times which led to the skips, I just felt more confident with an echo one
  9. hmm, I have never had great feelings for ENOs, sure they are all replaceable and have sealed bearings, but the ones I had still skipped and they have sslliigghhttllyy oversized threads so are more prone to strip than other freewheels (still hard to do though)
  10. I know what you mean though, I wanna move to australia, not as much rain there
  11. if its pissing it down I wont go riding, but if its spitting I will, plus its often wet at comps and I often ride through wet grass.
  12. To be fair though, Craig used to be a comp rider before he went to street.
  13. [quote name='bikeperson45' date='Aug 25 2009, 06:39 PM' post='1966887' Wet walls are probabley more slippery then wet rocks
  14. my front vee on a grind is the most bitey brake ever!
  15. what are people doing if their LGM pads are lasting such a short amount of time?? I am still on my first pair and they are barley half worn!
  16. a few things.....the rear wheel often hits the floor at the 180 point.....I lose my balance and fall off the side.....and mostly I can't spot the pedals and get my feet where I want

right next to Tartybikes HQ, me 'n' Stan had a quick explore on the ground floor recently
  18. I can do about the same with brake and sans brake....ie not very well
  19. cant really go wrong with either the Echo TR or SL freewheels or the new Tensile 96 freewheel
