  1. your now allowed single speed at uci compe, but from what I gather you still must use a hub that has enough room for 6 gears (so no singlespeed hubs) that mean the new mod stock wont be able to compete in any mayjor comps. You must have 6 working gears for BIU comps, but at the brits you can ride a single speed, but your result is declared void. Most small comps allow singlespeed no problems though.
  2. you need at LEAST 6 working gears, you can have any number you want over that amount.
  3. might wanna re think that one anyway, dont wait till your good, enter comps anyway, no one will laugh and by watching other people ride you get better quicker.
  4. yes, I likes!! Let me know when your next riding Dave, if its ok I would like to come and chaeck that puppy out for myself I love the cranks, they would interest my greatly for my next pair of cranks

  6. rear vee where its at!! With joy pads, nokon or linear slick cable, better than any maggie!!
  7. your all wrong!!! the BEST grips are massi lock on types (under a few different names as well I think) they are a wee bit fat to begin with, but I cut them down with a knife and they are spot on! They never come loose, dont wobble like odi lock ones, they use grubscrews which are a fatter allen key so dont round off either....perfect grips.
  8. I have really liked my spcialized Ridge xc gloves, they have lasted ages without ripping or stiches comming undone, they were a really nice fit too. However, they come with a gell pad on the palm, I didnt notice it really, but try them before you buy. Otherwise, some of the best gloves I have ever used (untill some theiving git in spain stole them) were XCting gloves the doug lampkin replicas, they were amazing!

  12. ok, just want to confirm that I am going to do a batch of blues this next week, stock will be very limited so if you want some you will have to get in quick. (possibly 18 pairs) I owe nickyw some blues cos I am not happy that they wore fast, if anyone else used the yellows and were not happy with wear rate, let me know and I'll send some blues.
  13. joy yellows seem to wear down to fast, but have excelent bit and hold, work well in the wet too. Joy Blues have AMAZING hold, LOADS of bite and last aaaages, seem to work pretty well in the wet too. They are harder to make though, at the mo I am trying to source some easier to make compound.
