if your talking about the old A1 then I honestly couldn't vote, both aweful frames. BUT if it was life and death situation....the adamant would win the nija has possibly the wost geo ever made for a trials bike, the adamant isnt far behind. I would rather ride a jump bike for trials than either of those frames though.
  6. I think hydroforming will become the next cnc, its already popping up on some frames (mbk), tubes can be made into shapes to resist denting, larger weld areas, tyre clearence ect I think bb rise might settle to around 20-30mm for comp bikes (I hope so anyway)
  7. I am impressed, you were getting through sections that I 5ed (was the heat )
  8. yes, I aprove!!! I can make a certificate for you if you want? Was nice to see a chilled vid, the riding was reet nice and the whole thing made me smile (like that<<)
  9. ashton justice.....go for a bike that rides nice rather than one that looks like a dirt bike frame. PS, just because you wanna go to college doesnt mean your riding should suffer....if you like riding then you will ride no matter what.
  10. Spank do a 24" rim, its 40mm wide and bomb proof!! lighter than a try-all rim too. Wiggle sell them, I use the 26" virsion and its the best rim I have ever had.

    AZONIC B52 whoooop yeah!
  13. I would say street was social, from the remarks I have heard when riding, most people like to see someone ride. Its the ones who take offence to it that are being anti social. I have had my name taken by a policeman once, but he was kinda ok about it, he just said if he didnt do anything and people saw him walk by, they might not think he was doing his job.

noice! please say your riding 20" next year, I want a chance at the british champs lol
  15. I have an avid ultimate, exspesive but worth every penny.
  16. v brakes rock!!! heatsink do pads, well worth checking out, it will make your brake better. if you havnt ground your rim, thats worth doing as well. Better cables also improves the feel and power, try some oddyssey linear slicks (around £6) or nokon if you can afford it (somwhere like £35).
  17. I helped set out a couple of sections on sat, so cheers for the thanks 90 riders!! There were a lot more younger riders this time, its great to see that the sport has riders for the future! I was really impressed with their riding level too. Its making me feel old lol. I enjoyed the comp, it was a lot windier than on sat, but the dryness was nice. I rode ok, had 3 stupid 5s and a lot more dabs than I would have liked. I ended up on 25 dabs riding elite, 1 more dab than Chris Boyes whon won elite. well done to everyone who entered and I hope to see you next year. PS Thanks barbara, waynio, the peacocks and everyone else who spent time to make the comp happen
  18. the wider the bar, the more control there is, but the wider the bar, the more energy it takes from the body. its like doing press ups with your arms wide apart and then closer together....try it. also, if you have narrow shoulders, then dont get super mega wide bars and vice versa
  19. yep pro 2 t hubs can take 6 cogs, but either 9sp or 8spd but bolted together.
  20. I have gears myset up: HUB Hope pro 2 trials CASSETTE one I found in the bin of my local bike shop, it was a 7 speed I think. It was bolted together, I undid it and replaced the 7spd spacers with 8 spd and removed a cog. The bolts still fitted (it might actually have been a 6 spd, I cant remember) CHAIN kmc narrow, 8spd SHIFTER Old skool sunrace 8spd thumb shifter. It has the option of being a friction shifer (not indexed) so I just move it until its inline with the cog I want. The advantage of this is that I can run whatever spaced cassette I want, also if the mech gets bent I can fine tune its position to get it running as sweet as poss. Also, cable adjustment isnt as important. MECH XTR reverse pull, shotened cage. I chose a reverse pull because if my mech cable snaps, it will automaticly return tothe largest cog (better for trialsing) and can easily be adjusted to the right cog with the limit screws. Also, it means the arm on my shifter isnt pulling much cable to the arm is much lower in profile, as opposed to sticking right up and snagging on clothes and stuff.
  21. depends how harsh you are. mine was drilled with 13mm holes (or close to that) and it was fine.
  22. its an indoor comp, I wouldnt call it a street comp just because it not on rocks. It should be awesome!! I cant wait!
  23. you mean he's gonna shit out a baby?!!!! I thought poo logs were painful!
  24. slightly corrected narr, if you like high bb then fair play, but I always try and get people to stick to low if poss. Out of the two you mentioned, I would go for the control, but you cant really go wrong with either
