you'll do reet enough tom, as long as you have fun, thats what its all about. at the mo, my bike is sitting in many pieces, I trashed my front wheel last night, snapped my maggie lever and my tyre keeps popping off the rim. I have gotten another front rim, but I need different length spokes (mavic 321 on am classic disk hub anyone?) so I am off to the shop tomorrow to build it up. I am gonna put my spare maggie on now and put a different tyre on int the morning. sorted.

the rims are powder coated, get some paint stripper on't jobband it will be all nice and silver. then listen to some of these people who have a clue about painting as I dont.

the rims that I made I removed the inner walls then got them welded together, but as was said the heat softened the metal defeting the purpose of having it done in the first place. If it was just tacked, then I recken it would be ok.

I'll leave the front freewheel to someone who knows more about it than me. Tyres..............when riding natural, grip is EVERYTHING so the larger the tyre the more grip. Also it can be run at lower psi and gives a softer ride for your wrists

is it Iolos? if so I had the frame before him and I flaired the cups, I didnt notice till I took the forks out and the headset came out with them :shifty:" all in all, it didnt make any difference apart from being easier to put together :lol: it also has a level bb hight if it isnt his, then dont read the above. I happily used a 118mm bb in my pure, no clearence issues at all

I dont think there was any need to say that on their forum, I happen to enjoy road riding. road riding isnt as technical, but its good fun going fast under your own power. I dont go as far as to shave my legs though, and I hate lycra!

all of them are reduced from larger ones, they are massive, 1800kb! There were just two more which I couldnt upload due to space, but they arnt any different really. Joe, Thats just on the back wheel for the photos sake, the rocks below me is actually a big rock behind me. Its just a straight 30ft drop from where I am. Thanks again for the comments

yeah, they are local. the first place is Jumblehole Clough river, 2 mins from my house. Its REALLY hard to ride, its just soooo slippery. The rocks are pretty hardcore further up. The second place is kebs (or bridestones) which is about 5 mins in a car (up some of the steepest roads you have seen :D ) I bet you thought it was blackstone edge didnt you phil? I love kebs, one of my fave places to ride in the uk, the rocks have been worn into weird and interesting shapes, the pics only show a couple of rocks out of hundreds
