I try and ride in all weather, but I dont see the point in getting soaked, as long as the ground is wet, then thats good enough practise.

right foot forward here, I sometimes try things left footed, I can do basic things but nothing anywhere near like normal. My party trick is to swap feet mid gap, so I take off right footed and land left.....shame no one tends to notice :)

I have had a go on all those frames, most of my friends have had them so I have had a fair few goes........... I thought they all ride like complete tripe apart from the Monty, which was really REALLY nice. All the others just felt wrong. The monty just felt soooo good, I stole joe oakly's spare bike and I almost gapped nearly 9ft static straight away, the thing just flies! Also sidehops are just soo easy on it. It feels like it requires no effort to put it where you want. I also really approve of having a rear disk on a mod.

saying "swimwear" instead of somwhere is popular on planet Ali.

because your chain is less likley to snap with bigger cogs, so its a peace of mind thing.
-
I liked mine too, but it just wasnt for me

parkour (or free running) is mint for this. Try and jump from two feet to two feet up high things, across things, over things, I think it helps to do a small bounce before you take off though. That really gets the muscles working, but be sure to strech before and after to prevent injury.

I had one for roughly a year, it was only slightly worn (on the teeth and bash) As long as you get a decent chain, breakage wount be much of an issue, but if your gonna be doing big gap drops and dangerouse stuff, I would feel safer with a bigger combo. going to bash is harder too

you will already know about what I think Chris but......... High bbs are a personal thing, dont go thinking that just because its the in thing that its what you need. I got a hi fi as most people said high bbs helped with comps and riding in general. I found my hi fi actually hindered my riding, espesially on natural. I would just loose my balence and fall off  My taps just dissapeared, couldnt even do bar hight when the week before I was doing nearly 50" on my pure. Phil Williams didnt like his either. Its good that you can try his vinco, you might like hi bbs, but you might not.

cranks look interesting, cant wait to see the finnished product, although I wont be needing any as I have just got some uci tensiles. Talking of hitting your ankle, I am glad my shoes have decent ankle protection, I wouldnt have skin left otherwise.

I think I had 25 lessons. I had never sat in the driving seat before let alone drive and I didnt drive between lessons. I passed in feb first time with 3 minors

ooh err, I hope the sections aint too hard :D Might pop up and see them tomorrow. 4oo shirts with a spelling mistake :S how annoying! But you never know, they may turn into a rare collectable :S What was the mistake?

I find short trials bikes and mods MUCH easier to bunnyhop than bmxs. Back in my mod days my record was 45" over a bar and 40" for stock (cant bunnyhop for shit on my long bike) On my bmx I could barley do wheel hight, the shortness, weight and lack of decent brakes seemed to hinder me. However, most bmxers seem pretty good at bunnyhops, I aint too suprised with this one even if it does have a 180 thrown in.

when I was new to the sport I didnt go out to learn trackstands (although it was fun to have timed comps with friends  ) but they came of their own acord, so I can see JT's point. I cant see the harm in learning them seperatley. It just means you will have more confidence when you do come to bigger moves. The amount of people I see who can do big sidehops or drops yet are as sketchy as fook with trackstands or on the back wheel  I trackstand all the time, mostly with just the front brake on or if I am facing up a slope, no brakes. It just saves soo much effort. Another good thing to learn (especially for uci) is to lock the wheel in a ledge or groove in a rock. It means you can back off the brakes and have a rest even in tricky situations instead of getting a dap by resting a pedal or bash on somthing.

being able to trackstand with either foot forward is very important in my books. Sometimes a runup to an object is small, so you might need to start bad foort forward, thats when being able to it with either foot comes into its own. Also its vital for comps and riding natural in general

dumb and dumber I dont really see the point of buying them though, if you wanna watch one you just rent it.

waaaaayy, I always like it when friends of mine see the light and move to 26". Looks like you havnt lost any of your skills either, I am gonna have to watch out (Y)

do you seriously think she is hot?? (Y) to me she looks as shallow as the kiddy paddling pool when its been drained for cleaning. she looks like she has about an inch thick layer of makeup, she obviously wants to look like all the nasty chav pop stars (I didnt actually realise people actually listened to that stuff!!!!) her face looks like a pug dog after a car accident, and I guess she has a brocken neck with it being at the angle it is? I also think she walked too close to a kid with a hulahoop, must have had an accident as its got stuck in her ear. RANK RANK RANK! I wanna throw a tomato at her.

I'll try and persuade Iolo to give us a lift up. Its been years since I ride blackpool, it was awesome even though I couldnt ride properly due to a bollox injury

I aint much of a drinker, the last time I had a drink was at the pary in wales (some people will know what I am talking about B) ) I HATE the taste of alchohol, if I ever drink it its only to get pissed. Being pissed is funny, but once a year is enough for me. With not drinking much, it takes a lot less for me to get drunk, so 5 bottles and I am outta there. I just dont like going out generally, going to the pub is sooo boring. I just dont get understand how chatting can be fun? Chatting is like theory work, I am much more a practical person, I would much rather be doing somthing (biking, climbing, throwing rocks, smashing things etc) than just sitting there talking and getting bored. Anyway, when I am with friends (espsially Iolo) its a right laugh just going and doing random stuff, its like being drunk all the time but cheaper and no hangovers (N)

the origional weight of mine was 1020g Chain reaction do them for £45, but there are other cheap places which you would have to look for. The erd is almost the same as a koxx rim, in that you can use the same spokes
-
I wouldnt go any bigger than 25mm, I did 28 and my rim has flat spotted really easily which is a shame as its a really nice rim (Y)

I have done both, I sold the bmx............theres your answer. 7 years ago I saw trials, so thats what I got into and I love it. Maybe if I had seen bmx 7 years ago, I would have gotten into that instead. I found it hard to ride both sports, bmx is soo different to comp trials. One problem I had was that I was just really scared of falling on the bmx. I also didnt like the weight, and all the sharp sticky out bits like pegs and pedals, they would always get me. Another thing I didnt like was the brakes, I spent loads on the best calipers, pads, cables, rims and it was still crap, I just cant trust a bike with crap brakes. even though I was crap (another reason I didnt enjoy it as much) I never really tried dangerouse stuff, but I always came home hurt after riding it. I just got fed up of it and gave up. so I recken trials is easier to pick up and ride, there are more places to ride, its more fun and more satisfying

you need to come here. There is an abandoned old peoples home near mine, its all borded up so inside its pitch black, even in daylight. It was set on fire and in some rooms the plastic light fittings have melted and have cooled down in weird shapes. I dont dare go in, I looked through a broken windo into a bathroom, but even that freaked me out Iolo said he went in and it was VERY scary, especially when he pushed the lift button and it came up, the suspence was nerveracking. now bordem, I am bored now.............I tend to eat when I am bored, but I really shouldnt. If you have money, buy somthing cool like a welder or a motorbike, hours of fun there

I dont know how to feel about high bb frames. My hi fi was really nice, exellent on the back wheel, super for sidehops and mint for bunnyhops. However, I couldnt tap to save my life, not even bar hight. I also found myself losing balence and just falling off for no reason. I am now on a control with a small amount of bb rise, my riding has improved nicley, my taps are back, gaps are bigger and its just as good on the back wheel and I much prefer it for riding natural. The only thing that has suffered are my sidehops. High bbs are personal, I dont like them, but luckily with tartybikes help its easy for me to swap frames without wasting money, so I wasnt stuck with a frame I didnt like. You might like it, but if you dont it will be bit of a waste.
