  1. That's just dangerous man! You've left so little material at the bottom that the headset cup will be visible! The rest isn't so bad but the amount you've left there is just silly...

Right let's try and SHUT YOU UP... I mean... politely correct you. I don't know if you were watching the entirety of BBC's coverage but at the beginning there was some discussion over how the BrawnGP team has been split into two camps, one for Rubens and one for Jensen. In case you hadn't noticed the guys on Rubens' side believed fully that they and their driver were gunning for the championship. There was no bias towards either team member in that garage. Plus Ross Brawn is about as professional as it gets so I am 100% sure he would not tolerate any "sabotaging" of either drivers' chances. So to the instance in question. As several members have pointed out, as Lewis was overtaking Rubens his right front wing end plate clipped Rubens' left rear tyre. It became apparent to Ruben's race engineers that this impact had caused a slow puncture, probably because they could tell from the pressure sensors in his car that the left rear tyre was losing air. If Rubens thought he could continue without significant loss of time do you REALLY think he would have come in? Not a chance! Winning or even podiuming at Brazil would have meant such a huge amount to him. So therefore he had to pit to have the tyre changed so he could continue the race safely and at full pace. And what the hell are you talking about the pit stop cameras cutting? As if the BBC would want to hide the MASSIVE CONSPIRACY you seem to have fabricated for your own entertainment? Considering the tyre wasn't completely flat I imagine the damage wasn't much to look at and was probably a tiny tear (not forgetting these tyres are built as thinly as is safely possible). Anyway! Massive congratulations to Jensen for becoming a world champion and a good job done by both him and Rubens on the constructors' championship.
  3. Wouldn't really be surprising would it haha
  4. The closer you can design it to the tyre the less material is needed for the same stiffness.
  5. I think people have mentioned several times that they realise the positive benefits religion can bring. But would you not agree that in general throughout history the acts of atrocity (and the misinformation of followers as shown in this thread) that have been committed whilst being "justified" by religious means far outweigh the guidance provided to some people that should have otherwise been found simply in human society's culture, not due to the fear of being sent to hell or punished for your sins but for the desire to simply be a good person. Religion should not be needed in society, there are already comprehendable consequences to right and wrong actions without the requirement of a big guy in the sky that can be taught to members of society.
  6. That's a different manufacturer though, so it's a different design and possibly a different material (or at least different material supplier) Your average Ti alloy is a little bit weaker (cm^3 for cm^3) than high grade steel, so someone at DMR has taken note of this and recalculated the maximum weight (not forgetting DMR is most popular among dirt jumpers).
  7. When are Orange getting it? I'm due for an upgrade soon...
  8. Yes it is still available.

Why is your personal message service disabled? :-S

  9. Cheers, it's proving rather difficult to find a flat that doesn't cost the earth for a bit of space! Looks like I'll be going with some student housing, fortunately I sleep like a rock so student related noise will hopefully not be a problem haha
  10. PM me your number and I'll see what's happening tomorrow, quite alot of shit going down in my life yesterday and today so forgot about this until now!
  11. They'll diagnose you with it over the phone if you've got something like 5 of the described symptons without any other testing. So the majority of people who go around telling everyone they've had swine flu have usually just had a mediocre cold with similar sypmtons and just spent a few days lazing at home watching TV. If you actually get it you won't be doing ANYTHING for at least a day since it drains you so much. Just ask Fish (I think it was him who got royally f**ked over by it?).
  12. Moving to Leamington Spa next week!!! Was dead worried that there'd be noone there to ride with... Like Walker I'm starting a new job.
  13. I might possibly be up for Coventry on Sunday if other people are interested?
  14. Good luck, he's not residing in Cheltenham anymore.
  15. Although you are right in your final statement, that you really shouldn't worry about breaking them, your statement before isn't strictly true. They may not have used Ti6Al4V (although it is the most common in the bike industry) and the standard axles are a stainless steel, not chro-moly steel ASFAIK. I'd also be very surprised if they used a steel that wasn't stronger than Ti alloy (which are pretty easy to find believe me).

    Fire Alarms.

My halls hit a century for fire alarms apparently. It just becomes part of life. Oh and look forward to all the c**ts on shitting "media studies" and other crap courses who have 0.3457 exams setting fire alarms off all through the tail end of the exam period. CUNTS
  17. It's had it I'm afraid. It would be difficult to fix it and since it's near on impossible to actually mend the crack itself the damage would quickly propagate through any repair material.
  18. You wouldn't be excited that there is suddenly solid evidence that goes against everything we believed was true before!? What kind of wannabe enquiring mind do you have!? Of course you are right. But I just wanted to point out to Joe that I am open to any arguement that has real evidence to back it up and am curious as to why he is not. I eliminated creationism from my mind a good few years ago, taking arguements from what religous teachers have told me and what I have been taught by school teachers and what I researched myself. I took into account all my knowledge and realised that creationism was, as you say, a fairy tale as far as I'm concerned.
  19. Find me a fully qualified scientist who is faithless that has found similar evidence to Mr MacKay. The fact he is a Christian makes his findings inherently biased. If a scientist with no religous background were to find some evidence correlating to any event in the Bible then you'd better believe that the entire scientific community would be sat straight up waiting to see what conclusions were drawn. With proper scientific evidence (OBJECTIVE evidence) any scientist worth his title would be excited to investigate the possibility of the world being just 6000 years old. Yet this has never happened. Only Christian organisations seem to turn up this sort of evidence and it is always refuted by full, logical and complete study. (if I'm wrong please cite me a case) Here's some information from the BBC's GCSE bitesize service. It is designed for 15-16 year olds to understand so hopefully it's just right for you HERE. It gives up a couple of examples where evolution's basic mechanisms (mutations, extinction etc) have been observed by the human world. This sort of attitude is what's stopping you expand your knowledge on anything that might refute your beloved religion. I care very much what you have to say. If you actually manage to put forward some real evidence of creationism then I will be converted back to a Christian (I went to a Church of England school, was Christened etc) and with any luck I'd be saved from eternity in damnation (although why God would want to send a perfectly good (IMO) person there is beyond me!) however atm there is so much evidence stacked up against the Bible's story of Earth's natural history that I am most definitely a "devout scientist" (well... engineer!).
