Does anyone know the difference in spoke length between a D521 rim, and a Tryall one? Are there any wide rims which use the same length spokes as a D521? I'm trying to switch rims without having to get new spokes. My hub's a Shimano XT front. Cheers

I was in Winkworth for my first year. The bike 'room' there is pretty damn good, better than any other place. It's like a basement room that you have to get through 2 locked doors to get in to. Loads of room too. I ended up just keeping my bikes in my room after the first term or so because it's easier, and I prefered them there. But yeah, a really good place to live. Near loads of good riding spots and Uni (obviously not as important!)

I'd take your bike up when you first start there. They told us we couldn't keep bikes in our rooms in the first year, but it didn't seem like a problem. I had 3 in there for most of the time...

The station at 11 sounds good, and then down to the sea front for about quarter past or something? If it's easier for some people to go straight there (Seb?) Can't wait

I'll be starting my second year in a month or so. Most of the first years live at the top of the city which is a bit of a ride down into town. What are you studying?

There's a couple of us in Haywards Heath, we ride in Brighton pretty often. And I know there are a few riders in Brighton itself. When will you be out? My girlfriend lives in Maresfield which is about 5 mins from Uckfield.

Interesting you say that. I was thinking that it might be something to do with the fact that for some reason I always seem to be pulling really hard on my front brake when I ride (the pain is in my right wrist). I did think about possibly chainging the setup, or using 2 fingers or something. I'll try your elbow mousing method, cheers. Thanks for the replies. I did search before posting, and "tendonitis" revealed 2 threads, both of which I read and didn't find particularly helpful... I wasn't intending to base me entire knowledge on people's responses to my post, but it's certainly usefull, as my doctor probably doesn't know what trials is. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I'm going to see my doctor as soon as I can make an appointment. I'm not in huge amounts of pain at all, it's just more of a nagging type pain, rather than a sharp pain. Cheers, Mat

At the end of the summer my wrist started hurting while I rode, and the doctor said I had tendonitis, and should rest it for a bit. So I did that, and it didn't seem to help much. I went back to riding a few weeks later, and after another few weeks it seemed to clear up alright. Then a month or so before xmas it started hurting again, and now it's pretty bad, hurts to type/use the mouse for more than a few minutes. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had problems like this? How did you treat it? What did you do to stop it hurting? I don't want to have to stop riding, but at the same time I don't want it to just get worse and worse. Any help? Cheers, Mat
