My little 180k 316 used to get 45+ on a good run! Bless its shite little engine, that's about all it had going for it

If I'm not majorly jet lagged then yeah it's a date, CBA to see Zak though, become a right douche
-
Suprised nobody can help Found this locally http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/marin-alpine-trail-xc-bike/108253137 Does that seem a good deal? Swap over my decent bits to it and sell what I have left of mine and it should be a nearly free upgrade (minus the time and travel) it certainly looks good enough but I know very little about them

It's a programmable board, got a series of analogue and digital inputs/outputs. You can hook them up to the obd port and get read outs on an lcd screen (although possibly too much effort vs bluetooth obd+torque on a phone). I want to use it to allow me to build a climate control system for the commer (hidden as much as possible) its possible without it but it'll be far better having the chip controlling it.

Midgets for rick, he really likes them! Anything to get the douche driving... Pussyo for not wanting to get greasy, that's the fun part! Wiring is a little way away yet and I have rather a lot of electrical plans that I may have to go over with you, ever played with an arduino before?
-
It's an mg midget, it's only in lax though! If you are bored, I would really appreciate some help with the commer, most of the grotty work is done upfront, it's more whacking in new metal and getting the front sub and engine back in!

George I need that tow bar back dude, pref by Wednesday as that's when I'm back, got a car to potentially get and I need to tug it home if so (would text but it's 35p to send them over here, frickn rip off)

Good stuff, what panels are you using? The ones I got from DSN were tripe, many hours wasted fettling
-
4"pipe? Bugger me, our combine uses that ha ha. That's going to sound monstrous
-
They are oem wheels

Looking good George, any other plans for it? Or just keeping it simple? Just ordered some welding shizzle so I can get on with the commer again been on retrorides for the past few days and I'm aching to get back in the workshop its been 7 weeks since I had my operation and I'm good to go for light work now which means lots of cutting, metal forming and a weldathon...

Are the m3s quite costly to maintain? As a general rule of thumb of course, just like common things to go wrong and stuff Just took my girlfriends mums 530d gt for a spin, it's a little bit nice to drive although certainly a motorway cruiser rather than something fun to hack about. It's got just about every toy possible, it's ridiculous how many cool little things it does! only disappointing bit was the engine, it's nowhere near as quick as I anticipated considering its nearly double the bhp of my Saab I was expecting more!

St170 isn't it?

Please don't stop posting, more pics are definely welcome! The colour looks way different in this set of photos? Your cars making me want to save for an m3 even though I know it's financial suicide seeing as I'm a student...

Recently I started riding my mtb again, it's been quite a few years since I last rode seriously and due to having back surgery I want to get myself fit again, this has rekindled my love for cycling Currently I have an old Marin from the late 90s, upgraded to a manitou air shock and has half decent parts from around 08 onwards on it. It rides great but it's a 16inch frame and I'm 6ft 2. This was never a concern before as I liked how flicky and nimble it was. Now due to my back and a change in the way I ride, I want something that will accommodate my height better and just be comfy out on the trails. I'm going to be riding xc, but would appreciate something able to take a few knocks as I'm a fatty and I may be a little aggressive for a super lightweight setup. I want suspension due to my backs inability to take constant bashing! So after looking at some frames on the net, I realise just how much prices have gone up since I last bought parts! I'm going to have to go secondhand, and my budget is very limited currently (about £100) however this will slowly increase in the weeks following. I am not after something up to date and amazing, infact I would be happy with my Marin again but in a larger size! I really liked the old specialised fsr from around 03-04 era, but I can't seem to find any these days So what should I be looking for? I'm aware that bushings and bearings may be a tough one to find on older frames but I'm prepared to make and modify if needs be. The old konas I remember being rather solid, but a touch hefty and clumsy, these seem affordable though. Size wise, im 6ft2 and I have quite long legs, but a shorter upper body. This means perhaps an 18-19 inch frame would be better for me so that I have a more appropriate tt length? Sorry for the long post, hopefully some of you can help me out

Your M3 looks awesome as expected Alex looking forward to seeing some videos!
-
318i isn't it? Cant really see the numbers on the boot but the spec suggests its not something larger. That merc above is niiiiiice! I know naff all about them though, are Mercedes still a bit rust happy these days?
-
Wasn't the tt Quattro system the same crap as on the golf and a3 though?
-
Ouch, poor prawn fingers crossed he finds another a3 with a dead heart to swap his things into

That's a common fault on the Leon's/toledos, you may be lucky and find a separate mechanism but most scrappys will want to sell the whole glove box. Personally I'd just use some velcro on it. Greetings, I think you are right about the interior thing, all the cars I've looked at just have dire interiors and they feel cheap and nasty, especially the e46, it's utterly awful compared to the e36 which I quite liked. The b6 a4 interior looks a little better but is still fairly dull. The worst is the Volvo s/v40, even French cars have better interiors! luckily my saabs still going with no more faults, fingers crossed it lasts a bit longer so I have time to save.

I do rather like your m3 Alex, it just looks so right if you hate the cf wrap shizzle, then I guess I shouldn't show you inside my car... Cheers for your help robin I raised my budge a bit and took a look at an Audi a4 today (£4k, parent loan til Saab is sold) and it was nice but there was just something missing even though it's a middle spec car and in fantastic order. Every car I have looked into just doesn't seem to tickle my pickle and I can't work out why. It sounds stupid but even with its faults, the Saab just has something about it that i love (regardless of its mechanical uselessness and other niggly faults) and I can't make myself like anything else but I know. Need to get someone reliable. Saabs also running extremely well currently with no more fault codes... It did this last time I threatened to sell it haha. I guess I'll see how the next few hundred miles go, checking the ecu regularly. I'm wondering about going petrol if I do change now as ill get more for my money, something about 2l. Not looking for super speed, just cruiser comfort! Since my back operation, comfort has become more important to me and I noticed just how awful the b6 a4 leather seats were today, the cloth ones on my parents one are significantly more comfy and my Saab ones are silly good. Might go look at a BMW 320 coupe tomorrow and see how that feels.

Well thank fook for that... Found my old android phone, loaded up torque and plugged in my Bluetooth obd dongle. 5 codes came up, noted them down, then cleared them. Car started first time... P0342 power train camshaft position sensor 'a' circuit low input (bank 1 or single sensor) P0102 power train mass or volume air flow circuit low input P0017 power train unknown P0246 power train turbo/supercharger wastegate solenoid 'a' high P1380 power train misfire detected Now to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The low voltage things were prob down to the battery getting low from cranking it over lots and the battery getting a little too low. Still going to keep my eyes peeled for a new car, this was pretty much the last straw for the old thing.
