Riiiiight....im getting a new ronnie rim off tarty soon and i need some new pads (koxx bloxx wont be able to reach the rim) so im thinking of getting some zoo pads and not grinding my rim. It's either that or get new heatsinks with a grind, or something else... Its coming up to summer so im going towards using a bit of tar on a clean rim...but im not too sure......what do you lot think? Cheers, Noz. You have to type ipconfig from an MSDOS prompt on windows XP. Run -> cmd -> ipconfig sorted.

I get them usually when i stay inside all the time, probably because i just sit at the computer or do homework (usually on the computer...). When i'm outside i rarely get them though :lol:

Well discs are more powerful really - the pads can be closer to the rotor than pads on a rim brake, and so it can have more power, but with the pads moving less (like an rb lever has more power, but moves magura pads less). I think that disc would get bashed though (Y)

Ooh seems to be OK now. Started a new torrent and it was green so i guess the port forwarding sorted it. Still a bit slow but its speeding up :blink: :angry:

Damn.... I've been looking on the net but only solutions i found were port forwarding on the router, which ive done, and allowing programs on windows firewall (which is disabled). The health thing is on orange aswell, which means: 'The tracker is OK, you're connected to peers, but you dont have any remote connection. You may have a NAT problem if your torrents stay on yellow status all the time'. My torrents are always orange. Noz.

Hey guys...i seem to be getting really slow download speeds on Azureus. I tried forwarding the ports 6881 -> 6889 on my linkssy router but if anything it seemed to make them slower. I'm on 1mbit internet and i get speeds of around 20kb/s maximum. Do you think its just where im downloading from, or is there something i need to configure? Thanks. noz.

Look at the coloured cables at each end of the network cable. If theyre in a different order, its crossover and will work :blink: . If theyre exactly the same you need to go buy a new cable. Then just plug em in and set it up software-wise.

You need a network crossover cable, and a network card in each pc. simple as that :blink:

Umm....sorted it now for some weird reason :blink: . I was messing around on the sub woofer cables and i pulled out the cable for the Rear speakers.......and it now works perfectly! Odd... Sorted now anyway :angry: sounds minted!

Got the cables in the right sockets at the back....and im using creative sound blaster live! value sound card which is the same as the downstairs computer. I'm confused :blink:

Hey all, I've just brought up my Cambridge Soundworks PCworks surround sound speakers from downstairs, i was using dell crappo desktop speakers before. Basically, i plug them in and it all works apart from the 2 rear (surround-only) speakers. I've set the sounds menu as surround, but all thats seemed to do is make the 2 front ones quieter. The sub woofer is working fine aswell, and its all plugged in etc etc. I dont have drivers or a manual for it, so does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Noz.

Yep modem. Was on 350k, just clicked on 'upgrade to 2mb' on the page, and ended up upgrading to 1mbps free. For a set top box, try hovering over the 'Broadband' tab at the top, and clicking 'Upgrade your speed' theres 2 options - modem and set-top box. Noz. EDIT: You have to phone up.

Upgraded now anyway. 120kb/sec hahaha! woo (N) :D :D

Ooh found i can upgrade to 1mbps - what about these download limits though? does the internet stop working after you download 3gb in a month? because i download way more than that...

If you want a tester DU meter is good. Doesnt measure max download speed but shows the traffic and seems quite accurate. Your max upload/download speed is your speed (bit) / 8 so 250k would be 250/8 = 31.25 kbps

If craig lee can use it..... :lol: i'd get a ronnie though myself.

Echo rims are 32h only, and i think they make 32h profiles. If not, get a ronnie rim and a 36h profile. Noz.
