  1. They WERE the same, now they are different. Cheers for the heads up
  2. Hi David, Tried to reply to your email but it said your inbox was full. Thanks, Adam
  3. If you suspend the outer over a vice and put a BB tool into the interface, tapping the BB tool will press the bearing out. They are kinda tricky to get back together again though with all those pawls, so I would recommend removing both the seals from the bearings instead (prise them out carefully with a sharp object) and spraying thin lube in through the bearings instead. Give the freewheel a spin as you do it and this should thin out the grease. Yeah, the bearings are press fit.
  4. They feel pretty much the same as the Rubber Queen, maybe a teeny bit more stable.
  5. I'll let you know when I've ridden it
  6. Will do! Yeah, got a lathe to play with...
  7. Fits Having no 4-bolt mounts (and thus brake booster) for the win Cheers man. Yeah, dual disc isn't for everyone, but there is no pad wobble when set up correctly. Nah, we're still struggling to get the tyres, these I have had kicking around for a bit.
  8. Hello all, Been wanting to ride a bit of 26" again, and after building one of these frames up for a customer I couldn't resist any longer! This is pretty much the perfect frame for me - weight, geo, colour, disc only... and they are no longer being produced, so I couldn't miss out. Built it up with some existing parts and some new ones, with durability and rideability in mind rather than going as light as I could. Geo is: 1090, +45, 380, 72, full bike weight 9.08kg. Spec for those interested: Frame and Forks - Frame: Koxx Red Sky - Forks: Trialtech Disc Wheels - Front hub: Try-All H100 Disc - Rear hub: Try-All H135 Disc - Chain tensioner: Echo Ti Snail Cams - Front rim: Try-All hOle - Rear rim: V!Z Single Wall - Spokes: Sapim Race - Nipples: V!Z Alloy - Rim tape: Custom - Front tyre: Continental Trial King - Rear tyre: Continental Trial Queen Brakes - Front brake: Hope Tech Trial 200mm - Rear brake: Hope Tech Trial 190mm with Try-All rotor Drivetrain - Cranks: Echo SL - Freewheel: Rockman 144.12 - Chain: Trialtech K610 HX - Rear Sprocket: Echo TR Screw On (might change this for a prototype aluminium one I have kicking around) - Pedals: Echo SL Ti Platform 2011 - Bottom bracket: Titanium ISIS - Bashring: Trialtech Titanium Half Steering - Headset: Custom - Stem: Trialtech Forged 110 x 25 - Grips: Trialtech Foam - Handlebars: Try-All Carbon Riser v2 And photos... (If you're on a 1280 wide monitor click them to show at 100% size or else they'll look all fuzzy) Edit: Rear hub broke (was about 2 years old): Edit 2: New rear hub complete: Cheers! Adam
  9. For sure, rebound speed is very important (perhaps more so than durometer), but that's really hard to test...
  10. Yeah, Cragg Quarry is just over the tops, I think there is a link route and signposts now If you head to Healey Nab (outside work hours) let me know and I'll pop down!
  11. Quieter - since it has 2 sealed bearings the sound can't come out
  12. For the 85g weight saving that the Urbans have, I know I would (and did) go for the Trialtechs!
  13. Hehe, mods and stocks are good for different things I find, very fun to ride both ) Bike looks awesome btw! Silver and black always looks great.
  14. Same dropouts, same hub, June 2006 Works ace though!

That's the problem with such detailed photos, they show every mark. They aren't any 'worse' than any of the other freewheels available

Yes, I managed it earlier, but only because I have 14 arms Yeah they feel decent, I'm gonna lob one on my bike and see how it goes.
  17. The later ones were like that, but the one RiderRace has is a slightly older version which has a 15mm OD female axle, with 10mm male bolts (like a Pro2). You can fit a tensioner to the derailleur hanger (http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/images/custom/bikes26/large_purebuild5.jpg), something like the Trialtech/Try-All/Tensile will work great.
  18. And 'V1' was on his bike for a good year before that I think. Pretty sure Ali saw exactly the same thing for sale in Japan in 2006, and Monty were doing it (with the push on system) around 2000 or earlier as well! Don't think it's really a patentable idea to be honest, certainly not worth it given how much they would cost to make, and it could be easily worked around.
  19. It's All Terrain who are selling them (http://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/) - give them a ring and offer them a tenner, I bet they'll bite your hands off
  20. 07 as said, you can't fit an integrated tensioner to that hub, sorry! Edit: Well, you could, but Echo don't make one to fit.
  21. Unfortunately not - that looks more like a top compression wedge from an FSA Pig than a bottom wedge from an Echo headset. The Echo's lower wedge is steel (that looks alloy on the picture), and the top one should be black and aluminium. Did you get the headset 2nd hand? That might explain it...
