  1. Well that was pretty obvious... Oh and the keyrings are pimp
  2. Theoretically... 250mm I guess! Realistically, a #3 Hope caliper (usually used for front 180mm on IS fork) will go straight on with a 210mm rotor and no adaptors.
  3. It does seem that way at first - but it means you can use the same caliper front and rear for 190mm rotors when the frame is used with Try-All Forks (which have a +30 mount).
  4. Check 2:13 onwards, note the foot positions as the front wheel starts to lift (bad foot approx vertical): http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YitYc92iXl8&...feature=related, 38secs onwards: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NpayaHeiV0o - the bike comes in at a flatter angle, instead of glancing it's being pedalled into the obstacle. And compare with (about 8 and 24 seconds) front/good foot lifting the front wheel: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0EXg4BSEmvs Generally I would say the Frenchie tap is easier on lower BB frames... waffle waffle... Phil Williams knows what I'm on about
  5. Nice, looks like you have some sweet places to ride too! Enjoy the new bike Adam
  6. See above I actually think more spaces is better for tapping with my technique. If you do a pedal up with a tap then lower bars are generally better, if you do a 'proper' tap (where the front wheel leaves the ground much later, Frenchie style) then higher stems allow you to tap harder. Oh and about the XC frame, yeah it's quite small but I wanted a shorter top tube (short arms) and something I can slam the seat down and play on too. Haha, yeah whatever Anal!
  7. You can see more pictures here: http://www.k-124.co.uk/product.php?product...;category_id=22 Pretty much! It is, it's at +50.

  10. Shut it The rim is the same profile as the 'hOle' rim, but double walled and circular drilled instead. I think one of the walls may need to come out
  11. Yaabaa 1499, completely standard except Trialtech bars, Trialtech pedals and a pair of Try-All brakes. 1080, +30, 380, 10.6kg as shown. Had a quick ride indoor this morning, finding the 18:15 ratio a little strange for taps at the mo but when you get it right it's great. Yes the bars are high but I like it like that because of my short arms The important bit Koxx Mixx built up with my old parts, ProLo 120 fork, King rear hub, Rockman front hub, XM719s, Try-All stem, post and saddle, EA70 bars, Quad brakes, Echo SL headset. Adjustable dropouts, hydroformed top and down tubes, CNC chainstay yoke. Not had a proper ride yet but the angles a bit tighter than my previous frame so it feels a lot more 'nippy'! Again the bars are pretty high but I like it that way Ads
  12. Hi all, This will be the latest products thread for Yaabaa bikes and parts. Update 17th march, YaaBaa 1299: Here are some snaps of YaaBaa's new model, the 1299. It's a streey-parky-trialsy mixture, looks extremely fun to ride. Geo will be measured when they arrive, but I believe it to be around 1060mm wb, 72 head angle, +10mm BB, 385mm chainstay. The bike features horizontal dropouts, front (190mm) and rear (160mm) Magura Louise discs, 18:14 gear ratio, 170mm cranks, Tioga 24" Rims, Kenda K-Rad tyres, Resurrection saddle and seat post, Try-All Rage riser bars, Try-All NUC stem, Try-All freewheel and ISIS cranks and bottom bracket. As you can see from the pictures, the bike is really well proportioned and designed to handle 'standard' trials, streety-type trials, park and even light dirt jumping. They should be available within the next two weeks. 1499 bike and frame, 7th November 2008: 1499 bike with Try-All components and Magura brakes, UK RRP £1199. Weight 9.8kg plus pedals. 1499 frame with 135mm horizontal dropouts. Geometry: 1080mm wheelbase, +30mm BB rise, 380mm chainstay, 71.5 degree head angle to compliment Try-All forks. RRP £399. Weight 2.01kg. Thanks Adam
  13. That's the old version, the newer ones have fatter arms and non-'triangular' cut outs at the bottom of the rotor surface, they are more rounded and I haven't seen one crack yet Personally I have seen people using Hope Saw rotors on BB7s to really good effect (Ali C the main person I am talking about). Lots of arms so they are stiff, lots of shapes/angles to give good pad cleaning (no glazing over) and still a good amount of surface area for good power. Ads
  14. Heads will roll... 32h for the rears, changed now, cheers
  15. I have attached a picture to explain - X and Y are the same in both forks, just the legs are welded onto the steerer tube at a different angle.
  16. I have successfully helicoiled a stem before, should work perfectly
  17. In my experience, even though the King Kogs are awesome quality and very pimp, they are not as hard-wearing as hardened cromo sprockets like Trialtech, Surly etc
  18. Calm ye'self Maximus, white versions have now appeared on my ordering system (although too late to get in the delivery we have arriving tomorrow )
  19. Firstly - Dan, apologies if you were expecting more emails but I didn't think all the emails I received from you at the end of last week required a reply. As you know, when you send another email it bumps yours to the top of my list and I reply from the bottom up (as these are the ones which have been waiting longest). The email I received from you at 8:30pm on Friday was dealt with at 12:30 today as you saw (I copied you in on the email I sent to MBK asking if you can send just the damaged parts of the frame back instead of the whole frame) I agree that £190 is a crazy amount for delivery but unfortunately I cannot do anything about that, so I am doing what I can to bring the cost down. MBK have asked for the frame back before they can proceed with a warranty so I am doing what I can to help with this. Anyway, I really hope it gets sorted, as always I will get back to you as soon as I have more news! Adam
  20. The hose on the Louise is different to HS33 so you would need new hose too anyway
  21. You're not 'stuck' with the red ones, but they are the closest to the browns that we have in stock. If you wish to swap then that's no problem, although I am certain you will be more than happy with the reds. Cheers Adam
  22. It's true to say that, but the VAT and duty is still applied to each frame individually. The only 'help' it would give is on the shipping cost, where the duty (which is applied on top of this) would be a little less as shipping cost per frame should be reduced. Cheers Adam
