  1. Approx £30 - they are only in 26" though.
  2. They are available, should be in the UK in around 10 days.
  3. 5? I was lucky to get 2.5 - living out in the sticks sucked!
  4. Home made bashrings. Tar/coke on your rim. 50mm CNC stems. Tioga DH tyres with the side knobbles cut off to clear your 11" £99 'Ultimate Hardware' dual slalom frame. Breaking an LX freehub every few weeks. DCDs (with Union Jack if you were lucky!). Full kevlar-covered seats in yellow or red. Oh the fun we had... Edit: Will edit as/when I think of more

  7. Front 160mm Try-All Hope brake: 386g Single HS33 with clamps and bolts: 315g Booster: Approx 60-80g (And a slightly heavier hub for the disc...) However, having a decent brake: Price (weight) less
  8. Too much is made of wheelbase... You don't hang onto the axles guys!

    Education.

    Haha, oops... changed

    Education.

I'm currently doing nothing education-wise but... I did: 11 GCSEs (4A*, 7A) 4 A-Levels (A, B, B, D) 1 year of a BEng at Nottingham (sacked it off cos Mech Eng is booooo-ring) 3 year BSc Sports Technology at Loughborough - well worth doing But no real use for my current job... haha.
  12. Did you remember to add everything up? There's often a few bits you miss, that's all... I've added up the bits on that bike that are heavier than mine and it comes to about 620g, so yeah, 8.6kg seems about right Light mod bike + good geo + dual disc = WIN!
  13. Basher! Right so here's the rest.... the 'bike' pic was to show the blood, although he didn't do it on the gap. General pics: Most of them taken by Claire again (thank you!). Here she is riding my Koxx... ho ho ho! Ali sidehop to rear Gap from seat of bench in background Me 180 to front wheel from the low platformy thing then right over to the floor Rolling gap Sidehop preload Bunnyhop to rear Sidehop Ali batman (hang off forks then ping to rear wheel) Sidehop to rear Tom sidehop And tap Ali with his audience shortly before 360ing off Sidehop to rear on post, then up to rear Just messing about at the start of the ride Stan up to front Stan sidehop (theres gap between the wall and the brick 'box' - scary and big sidehop) Same sidehop, different angle And again... Tom manualling Jon gap to front wheel 90 degree endo Here's a little story... Ali fell off and bashed his elbow: So decided to try a gap to wallride... But it didn't work: It didn't really hurt though, so he and Stan decided to find a dropgap: Captions on a postcard: Stan didn't want to break his bike but Ali had a go after thinking about it for a bit: Made that one easy so went for the bigger one... Kinda 'dropflobbed' instead of dropgapping so didn't make it. Poor Ali... If you see the Jetty: Don't read the jokes... By now it was late so Ali got hungry: And then it was time to go home. Hope you like! Ads PS: Photobucket is SH!T, that took ages! (FTP server is down)
  14. Yep.... I'm a lefty, but right handed and right footed (football).
  15. Very - just divide one number by the other and then you can compare all gear ratios
  16. I have a loooottt of time for watching riding like that, beast
  17. Sports Tech for the win - a much more 'try (bodge) it and see' approach

  22. Just a few snaps from tonight. New Tarty 'Bitch' bike... rides really nicely! Slinger sidehop - damn big! Stan with the same Stan gap up to rear wheel from the wall in the back... really really big gap Little up to front on the back of the bench Slinger crazy drops/gaps sequence (And a big version if you want it: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/preston12-6-8/6big.jpg ) Messing about on the ~7ft drop off the rail over the algae-infested water Attempting a large hook... wasn't happening but I like the pic Stan tap with dodgy run-up around a corner in the steps And me sidehopping... cheers to Ben for the pic! Ben chilling out Hope you like, Ads
