  1. Didn't cost us though did it? Every defender makes mistakes
  2. There are plenty of oppourtunities that he can miss, but he's been in a pretty good patch of scoring form lately. Im not a Tevez fan though
  3. Really? *looks down and has erection*
  4. No. They both played for spain, but when they played together it didn't work so well. On their own though they were fantastic. As for Kuyt, I love his work ethic. It's brilliant. However just because he works his arse off, he shouldn't be an automatic start. Work doesn't make up for natural talent at that posistion and that is one of the major posistions that i'd like to be adressed this off season.
  5. Good player, wrong club to go to. Torres and Villa don't really work together too well. My nickname in the pub I work at is Alonso... You're right about Mascherano's temprement, he does need to sort it. The thing is he is such a brilliant player 90% of the time, he's a real disrupter. Very similar to Viera's old role at Arsenal and I don't think he is much worse a player then he was at his peak. I don't understand the critism of Carragher though, the man is just a god. Your right about getting caught out occasionally (mainly due to his lack of pace) but how many goals has he saved just on his own? I don't think he gets half the credit he deserves. Aurelio is ok, he is too on/off for me and seems a little injury prone, he undoubtably has the ability though. As for the Parry thing, alot of fans (including me) have been calling for his removal for some time. It may have been only this summer that Rafa publicised his own displeasure at the way he does things but many fans are not happy with his role in the americans original take over. Alot of fans see his shiney new (or not so new now) ferrari (that he got as part of the deal in which he convinced the shareholders to part with their money) and wonder if things like that were the only reason the Yanks own LFC now rather then DIC which originally came up with the idea and were willing to pump money into the club. Personally I don't think the Yanks should leave. They are now just getting to grips with how this club should be run, getting rid of that clown Parry (i know it says he has left, but it's more likely a case of "you're sacked" "well im leaving then!"), signing Rafa to a new contract and holding up the new stadium are all good signs at the moment.
  6. Or what I could do is ignore you completely and keep doing what im doing? I have no idea why I do, I was born in Bath but i'm an army kid so I moved around loads....
  7. The thing about liverpool's squad is that it's the best its been for years. You mention Benayoun as being meh but its not like he is used all the timeand he's done a great this job in the role he has been asked to play (a bit like Fletcher, Scholes, Giggs are a bit meh but vital part of the squad). There's more then just Torres and Gerrard though isn't there? Alonso has probably been the player of the season, thank god the Barry thing fell through. To name a few othes Mascherano, Skrtel, Carragher, Arbeloa have all have massive seasons. "For sure" (to quote rafa some more) the squad doesn't have the same depth of "quaaaaaality" (and again) that United's does but look how far away Liverpool are/were away from the league. If the yank investors give rafa the backing and some money to spend on some quality additions, next year we will get even closer. As for the criticism of the united fans, it was more the fact that you only hear from certain types of them when 1) They beat Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal 2) It comes to the point of the season when the trophies are handed out 3) They score 3 goals in a game. It just irritates me, I don't see how people can support a team part time? My main problem is the fact that 70-80% of United fans that gob off haven't even set foot in old trafford. They talk about supporting their club, how? By buying a replica shirt every once in a while at the most? Yeah you're definately right. Every broadcasting media (TV, Papers, Internet) are wrong. You should phone them up all individually and let them know.
  8. I wasn't saying Man United are a poor team, far from it. They're a class act that is in (i would say) poor form. They shouldn't be in the league posistion they are, Liverpool should have capitalised early in the season and this title race would be over by now (which it effectively is). Either way all I was commenting upon was the fact that every united fan is now assuming that they are going to win the Champions League just on the basis of two games against Chelsea. It's actually very difficult to jugde because the Hiddink Chelsea is a very different entity to the Scolari Chelsea that United beat comfortably. To me the final isn't completely unpredictable but I wouldn't have United down as favourites. Anyway Mark, I didn't have you down as the football type?
  9. GO BALLS DEEP No seriously, I don't care.
  10. So many things that I could say in return to that. I don't only say BA-TH instead of BAR-TH, CAH-SLE rather then CAR-SLE, GRAH-SS rather then GRAR-SS etc
  11. Plastic united fans need to settle themselves down. Thinking they are world beaters and supporting the easiest club in the easiest way, that final isn't going to be easy at all. Barca have proved themselves, I wasn't convinced that they could beat Chelsea (pre the first leg) but they went and did it. As for the united performance yesterday, it wasn't a fantastic game, be honest with yourselves. The first goal was a well taken bit of luck, had the defender not fallen over the ball was cleared, had Park struck it properly it wouldn't have gone it (he hit it into the ground and it bounced over the keeper. The second goal whilst a good strike should have been saved, the third was a piece of world class counter attacking and you can't detract from that. I personally don't think united have performed well in over 3 months and would be seriously worried (if I didn't want them to lose all the time) that they're going to have to buck their ideas up for this final.
  12. Have you seen the odds for the final? They're not even worth betting. United are evens and Barca are 11/9 or something like that. Rediculous
  13. Taken Anzo is funnier then single Anzo
  14. Theres no R in it, I was born there. It's Bath.
  15. I hear they are up against the dollar at the moment
  16. Kahn can't punch at all. The only reason he won against Barrera was becuase of a cut from a headbutt. Kahn is weak, he may be quick but he has no power, not even at his weight. Barrera didn't look bothered at all by Kahn's punches
  17. I'm thinking Kahn ----> Kahn's inevitable death ----> De La Hoya
  18. I would be more interested in seeing a retirement slug-off between Hatton and De La Hoya personally.
  19. Hatton will eat Kahn alive if he tries to come up a weight, he already has no punch power in his current weight, how is he going to compete with Hatton?
